Just looking at them makes me smile. I have judged the breed under the FCI rules since the mid-seventies and my most prestige’s appointment was when I judge them at the World Dog Show in Denmark in 1988. This was my first-time giving CCs in the UK and I want to thank the exhibitor for trusting me with their dogs. It wasn’t a big entry in numbers, but I was pleased with the overall quality and I had few outstanding dogs to go over. PD 1 Bradbury’s Fourastay Fontayne. Promising puppy of excellent type. Good head and neck. Well developed for age with a level back and strong loin. Moved very well. BP. JD 1 Smith’s Lingbeck The One And Only. Compact quality dog of true type, which I liked a lot. He is strongly built, deep in chest and moved very well. LD 1 Burns’ Burneze Wild At Heart. This fabulous dog took me by storm as soon as he entered the ring. He possessed great self-esteem and had a cheeky appearance which made him stand out. He was well constructed with strong quarters which made him move freely and with ease around the ring. This is an excellent representative of his breed CC & BOS. OD 1 Fisher’s Bobo Whiskey ShCM. Top quality dog with a good head and a muscular neck. He is compact with a smart outline and he is well angulated. Whisky gives a picture of a first-class West Highland White. RCC. 2 Fisher’s Havasu Head Boy ShCM. Nice dog with a good head. Well developed in body but too straight behind. Moved quite well. VD 1 Windram’s Leonardo Ventura. Nice old gentleman in great condition for age. Moved and stood well. PB 1 Jasper’s Clavelshay Penni Special. Attractive bitch of good type. Would like more neck. Well angulated, moves well. 2 Bradbury’s Fourastay Fedora. Nice bitch which is a bit long. She has good head and is well angulated. Fedora needs more ring training and front movements must improve. JB 1 Burns’ Burneze Maid To Order. This beautiful bitch looked and behaved like a little Mannequin. She couldn’t be overlooked because personality wise she was full of self-confidence and pride. She had a beautiful head and she was perfectly proportioned. Her outline showed a compact girl with a level back and a perfect tail set. It was a joy to see her move because she never put e foot wrong. RCC. PGB 1 Windram’s Carlola Showgirl. Eight years old bitch in good condition for age but she is starting to look a bit tired. Well-constructed even if topline could be stronger Limit. LB 1 Jasper’s Clavelshay Hurry Up Harriet. Quality bitch of high class. She had a nice head and neck and she is well developed in front. Moves very nicely. 2 Hands & Strand’s Crinan Carousel. Close to the winner in type and quality, but I preferred the first one’s shoulder and neck. Good body and quarters. Moved well. 3 Jenkinson’s Highcross Crystal Charm. OB 1 Burns’ Ch Burneze Our Marnie. What can I say about this legend which hasn’t already been said. I gave her BIS as a youngster at the SKC in August 2016, so I used most of my superlatives to describe her then. I love Our Marnie to bits, and I like everything about her. She is a fabulous West Highland White bitch with style and passion. I was proud to give her what I understand was her 39th CC & BOB. 2 FSmith’s Aymar Tartan Fling. Her is another top-class bitch which I liked very much. She has a nice head and neck. She is well constructed and of excellent type. Her chest is deep, and her ribs are well arched. It was a joy to see her move. 3 Bradbury’s Lizandycris Misschieves At Fourastay. VB 1 Windram’s Carlola Showgirl. Bitch in good form, but topline should be stronger. Moves very well.
