WEST HIGHLAND WHITE NATIONAL TERRIER 22 Judge: Mrs T Gaydon MPD 1 Thomson’s Ashgate Kelvin. Cracking young pup who has a very bright future ahead of him. Masculine head, wicked expression, dark eye excellent bite with large teeth. Strong neck running into well laid shoulder, level back and tail on top. Powerful mover with excellent reach in front and drive in rear. Showed well BPIB. 2 Bouwhuis & Hamilton’s Llovall Adam At Ladyleigh. This young man has all the essentials but just needs time to mature in body. Shown in fabulous white, harsh jacket and excellent muscle condition. Another nice mover and showed himself to advantage at all times. 1 Squires’ As Good As It Gets Sunshine Celebration. Another young dog who for me still needs time to come together. Nice head and mouth, strong neck, level topline and good tailset. Showed ok. Maturity will improve his overall balance as he grows into his frame. JD 1 Berry’s Ashgate Prince Charming. This dog was also shown in a beautiful crisp white jacket of the correct length. He is a little short in upper arm which affects overall picture when standing. Strong body and good rearend. Showed ok. 1 Bartley’s Atelib Master Flash. Needs more body weight and condition. Nice front and shoulder but falls away to the rearend. Ok in head and mouth, nice pigment, showed well although lost the outline I look for on the move. 1 Thomson’s Lynnsto Full Circle With Ashgate. Have liked this boy from ringside before so was glad to have the chance to go over him here. Ideally I would prefer a more masculine head but he has a dark eye and a good mouth. Nice neck and shoulder, strong topline which he held on the move. Showed very well today. 2 Goodwin’s Nolans Mac Too Hi Ho Silver. This dog really surprised me on the table. He has a strong, masculine head, wide muzzle and good bite. Nice neck and shoulder, compact body and good rear end. Showed well and moved with ease around the ring. 3 Jenkinson’s Highcross Buddy Holly. 1 Squires’ Bellevue Double Shuffle. Compact dog, nice head, strong muzzle and good bite. Small, well placed ears and great pigmentation. Excellent neck running into a strong, level topline with perfect tailset. Moved with drive around the ring today to gain the CC. 2 Owen’s Frisbeck Guitar Man. Different type to winner. Nice head and mouth. In ok coat but needs to carry more weight. Showed ok. 1 Bradbury’s Fourstay Fontaine. This young man was lovely to go over on the table. Lovely head with proper westie expression. Ok in neck, good shoulder, short back and tail on top. Showed well for his new handler although a little bit stubborn in the challenge. He deserves and should get his title in my opinion. Res CC. 2 Skrobiszewska’s Gr Ch Am Int Multi Ashgate Star Gazer. Another compact dog, again shown in excellent coat and condition although for me rather too much hair on his head spoilt the balance of him. He has a strong compact body and excellent rear but I would prefer a cleaner front. Showed well. MPB 1 Griffith’s Holiday Romance Vixen At Karamynd. Very pretty young lady who showed like a veteran today. Very compact and neat little bitch. Typical westies in looks and attitude, smart showgirl and a nice prospect for the future. 2 Bouwhuis’ Llovall All By My Self. Larger bitch but a lot to like about her. Pretty head, dark eye and neat, well placed ears. Excellent coat and condition, nice neck and shoulders, level topline and good tailset. Moved well and with drive. 3 Squires’ Bellevue Jump For Fun. MITCHELL, Mrs A Newvoldemort Just like Me At Frazandmitch. This is a very nice puppy who has a feminine head, dark eye and excellent bite. Perfect reach of neck, good shoulders and neat front. Strong body, short coupled and excellent tailset. Another who showed well. 1 Noyce’s Maxulla Vanilla Ice Cream. Three nice bitches in this class. This bitch just tipped the balance in her favour as she is more mature in coat and body than second. Nice head and eye, good neck and shoulder, level short back, ok in hind quarters. Showed well. 2 Mitchell’s New Voldermort Just Like Me At Frazandmitch. Another nice young bitch who could change places with winner on another day. Pretty headed bitch, nice eye and excellent presentation. She needs more time with her coat as it was not at her best today. 3 Stankiene’s Fiona Krutiks Love Via Vivolunar. 1 Thomson’s Ashgate Achray. Ok in head, strong muzzle and good mouth. This bitch has the most perfect run in of neck into shoulders. Good topline and tailset and as expected from this kennel she has a strong rearend. Exceelent mover. Pushed hard for top honours and one who I look forward to seeing again when she is fully mature. 2 Griffith’s Karamynd Snow Queen. Loved this little girl as a puppy but for me she hasn’t grown on as I would have liked as yet. She still has a fabulous head, dark eye and neat ears. Nice neck and shoulders, shortest of backs and good hindquarters. She showed ok today. 3 Bartley’s Atelib Solar Ray. 1 Smith’s Lingbeck Hold The Dream. Very typical young lady who really seems to enjoy her showing. Nice head, her expression was lovely, strong muzzle and good mouth. Neat front, compact body and good rear. Very nice on the move today. 2 Owen’s Egremont Joy Ride. Still a favourite of mine but just needs to mature before she will be taking top honours for sure. She is lovely to go over and I wouldn’t change anything about her. Will look forward to seeing her in about a year or so. 3 Jenkinson’s Highcross Pandora. 1 Edmonson’s Highcross Prosecco At Pepabby. Well balanced bitch who shows herself to advantage. Good head and expression, nice front and neck with well placed shoulders. Strong body, nice substance, in excellent coat and condition. Showed very well. 1 Zaccariello’s Zackshine Zoom Zooms Attitude. Well, she is a pocket rocket this girl! Looked a picture standing and held her outline perfectly on the move. Lovely head, dark piercing eyes, strong muzzle and excellent mouth. Lovely neck and shoulders, short backed and best rear here today. She showed with excellent drive and has that something special about her. CC and BOB. 3 Berry’s Lets Play Vertragus With Ashgate. |
