WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 18

It was a honour and a pleasure to be invited to judge at the National Terrier Club Championship Show, I felt very priviledged and I would like to thank the Officers, the Committee and all the other judges for making me so welcome.
I really thoroughly enjoyed my day. I would particularly like to thank my two Ring Stewards for the excellent way they carried out their duties so that everything went smoothly for me.
My special thanks also go to all the exhibitors who entered their dogs under me and accepted some difficult decisions very sportively.

I was happy with my entry, and was extremely pleased with the quality of my main winners but I felt that some classes lacked in depth of quality. Size & bone was usually correct, most coats too but trimming could often be improved. Great temperaments on all the exhibits, exc mouths but I felt that head and ears might need more attention, I realise that its hidden under the furnishings but hands do tell you whats underneath...
Front and hind angulation were often a little too straight resulting in short strides moving around like in many of the westies shown under me today.
Absolutelly thrilled with my 2 CC winners who are so typical of what a westie should be.
