WEST HIGHLAND WHITE NATIONAL TERRIER 11 West Highland White Terri Judge/s:Mrs Doreen K Lancaster (Clanestar) WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 11 WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER I enjoyed my day but would just like to make a few comments, our breed standard calls for large teeth for the size of dog, I found a lot of very very small teeth, some only just out of the gums, also tailsets are very poor I felt, so do watch these points when choosing a puppy or stud dog for your bitch. Thank you to my stewards who kept the judging running smoothly. MPD (2) 1 Macbean's Gilbri Royal Commander at Pryorvale. Nice puppy, lovely shoulders, good coat, nice head with good stop, moved and showed well. 2 Dingley's Davot Chevie Chaser. Masculine puppy, good head, correct coat and length, moved ok, good presentation just preferred front of winner. PD (4) (1) 1 Jenning's Comdale Smooth Operator. Mature puppy, well presented, good head, correct coat, moved and showed well, BPIB short listed in the Puppy Group. 2 Squire's Bellevue Special Catch. Lovely pup to go over, super masculine head, excellent shoulders, coat a bit on the short side but moved so well, must not grow on. 3 Carlin & Gillott's Lizandycris Devlin Disgise. JD (1) 1 Squire's Kimgarwyn Arlo. Stood alone but a worthy winner, lovely coat and shoulders, excellent head, good turn of stifle, moved ok. YD (1) 1 Forbes Karensbrae Independence ShCM. Alone, nice head and coat texture, better show trimming would improve him, moved and showed for his young handler. GD (1) 1 Taylor's Flassendale Fairlie. Lovely coated dog if perhaps a bit too much of it on his sides, good head and expression, moved and showed well. PGD (4,1) 1Carlin & Gillott's Lizandycris Out to Play. Nice moving smart dog, short backed, good coat and presentation. With maturity should do well. 2 Jenkins Havasu Hugo Boss. Another smart dog, longer caste than winner, good head and expression moved and showed ok well handled. 3 Noyce's Maxula Name of the Game. LD (9) 1 Lewis's Lynnsto Man About Town. Caught my eye as soon as he went around the ring and was not disappointed when he was on the table, masculine dog with excellent head, dark eye, well defined stop giving him the correct expression, good mouth with large teeth well made up under the eyes, correct ear set. Text book frontpiece, lovely length of neck running into well laid shoulders, deep in rib& short coupled, well muscled hindquarters, excellent tailset, beautiful coat expertly presented, moved and showed like I expected from that construction DCC & BOB. 2 Edmondson's Pebabby Prank. Another lovely dog, pity to meet winner in such good form, excellent head and expression, large teeth so lacking today, lovely front and layback of shoulder, level topline which he keeps on the move, super tailset which is also sadly lacking at the moment, great hindquarters, moved and showed well. 3 Ash's Hillcloud Blizzard. OD (10,4) 1 Gordon's Ch.Lamsmore Fitzwritin. Well known champion, beautifully presented as always, good head, stop and expression, correct mouth, well laid shoulders, short back and super tailset moved and showed well, just preferred Limit winner's outline today RCC. 2 Purchon's Lindenka Sullivan. Masculine headed dog with good stop, large teeth, super front, good shoulders, super white coat expertly presented as always from this exhibitor, deep ribbed, well muscled hindquarters, good tailset, moved well, to be critical would like a bit more enthusiasm from him. 3 Crockett's Dan.Ger.Ir.& Int.Ch.Havasu High Tech. MPB (5,2) 1 Gaydon's Gilbri Royal Sapphire. Nice smart puppy, good shoulders and coat, moved and showed well for one so young. 2 Thomson's Ashgate Moonsie. Nice to go over on the table, well laid shoulders, good coat, would like a bit more enthusiasm when moving but she is only young yet. PB (7,2) 1 Gaydon's Gilbri Spannish Rose. Another pup from this kennel, nice coat, good head and stop, correct mouth, well laid shoulders and straight front, moved and showed well with confidence. 2 Squire's Kimgarwyn Opal. Lovely outline when standing, pretty head, white coat, good shoulders and front, did not seem too happy on the move today. 3 Robinson's Patnor Party Girl. JB (3) 1 Lilley & Milling's Lilmill Pocket Rocket. Smart bitch, pretty head, lovely coat of correct length, well presented, moved and showed ok. 2 Smith's Lingbeck Playing the Lady. A bitch I have always admired from the ringside, all the remarks made about the winner apply to her, just preferred the tailset on the day of Pocket Rocket. 3 Davison's Braxquin Beginning A Dream. YB (4,1) 1 Dale's Lynnsto Platinum JW. Smart bitch, pretty head with good stop, in lovely coat, well presented and showed so well for her handler. 2 Ladham & Rudd's Juraspirit Mint Julep. Mature bitch, nice head and mouth, coat needs some attention moved ok. 3 Pike's Caromagic Shooting Star. NB (1) 1 Ladham & Rudd's Juraspirit Mint Julep. GB (1) 1 Andrew's Kellthrigg Christmas Rose at Rupann. Alone, nice head and expression, very feminine, happy shower, coat needs some attention for the show ring. PGB (9,2) 1 Dale's Lynnsto Visa JW. Another nice one from this kennel, good head and front, deep rib, super straight white coat moved with verve showing all the time. Strand's Westlake Pearly Lady. Smaller than winner but it is all there, pretty feminine head with good stop giving her the correct expression, short back with a little stick of a tail, super hindquarters and so free moving. 2 STRAND'S WESTLAKE PEARLY LADY LB (11,3) 1 Squire's Bellevue Dream Girl and she is, lovely moving girl as always from this kennel, pretty head with good stop, for me, just spoilt the picture by taking her ears too far down and I did mention this to the exhibitor, well laid shoulders, good front, short backed, good coat and kept her outline on the move RCC. 2 Lilley & Milling's Lilmill Potty Dotty. Another nice bitch from this kennel, good head and stop, straight front, deep ribbed and short coupled, good coat well prepared and presented, just preferred tailset of winner. 3 Coley's Karamynd On Cue for Kingsview. OB (4,1) 1 Gaydon's Ch.Bellevue Town Flirt at Gilbri. This was the hardest class of the day to judge as all three bitches were textbook and could change places at anytime, I literally had to go for personal preferences on the day. All three had super coats and heads, all three moved correctly, very little difference in shoulder placement, all three were deep in rib and short coupled, had good hindquarters, all had good tailsets, all three fitted the standard. Flirt was short backed and showy and kept her outline on the move which won her the class over. 2 Jenning's Llovall As Mama Said to Comdale who was just beginning to get fed up. 3 Lilley & Milling's Lilmill Giv Me Your Answer Do just did not keep her outline on the move in the end and had to pay the penalty, but I could take any of the three home with me.
