WEST HIGHLAND WHITE NATIONAL TERRIER 09 West Highland White Terri Judge/s:Mrs Modwena Johnston (Glenveagh) Dog CC : ABBEY'S KRISTAJEN KNOW IT ALL
MPD (5) Not much to choose between the first two, both exciting prospects. 1. Dale’s Lynnsto Barclaycard. Great width to scull, strong muzzle, excellent bite with large teeth.Pleasing eye and expression. Well laid , fine shoulder, correct topline and tailset. Strong well angulated quarters used to move with drive and extension. Excellent presentation. 2. Purchon’s Lindenka Sullivan. Another with a most pleasing head, dark eye neat ears with correct bite and large teeth. Well laid shoulders, correct topline and tailset. Presentation topclass. Winner today just moved with more enthusiasm. 3. Skelton’s Faymar Free Agent. PD (4) 1. Thomson’s Ashgate McKenie. Up to size but wel balanced. Masculine head, nice eye and expression good bite. Well laid shoulders, good topline , excellent tailset with strong quarters. Moved with drive and extension if a little unsettled at times. 2. Minnett’s Duskhunter French Connects. Masculine head, dark eye, strong muzzle. Correct topline and tailset, short coupled. Preferred shoulder placement of winner. 3. Soar’s Sonjay Fast Forward JD (5) Close decision between first two.Both have attractive heads with good expression, correct bites. Today winner was more positive in front movement. 1. Smith’s Lorbri Sweet Talking Guy. Nice reach of neck, strong topline, short coupled with good tailset and well angulated quarters. Moved with drive keeping a good outline. Shade short of coat. 2. West’s Karamynd Playing Away At Tomlyndon. Good reach of neck into strong level topline. Pleasing tailset and quarters. Moved with drive. Excellent presentation. 3. Gaydon’s Williwontee. YD (1) 1. Thomson, Brown & Pacheco’s Glenbrittle My Way To Ashgate. Lovely free moving dog. Nice coat coming in. Pleasing head with dark eye. Strong level topline, good tailset with well angulated quarters. Still immature but correct for age ND (1) 1. Minnett’s Duskhunter Dutch Courage. Most pleasing young dog just needs time to strengthen and mature. Attractive well proportioned head with dark eye and neat ears. Well laid shoulder into correct topline, short coupled excellent tailset and carriage. Moved with great freedon. Well presented GD (1) 1. Mc Loughlin’s Ley Hey Local Laird. Dog with a lovely outgoing attitude. Nice dark eye, strong muzzle. Clean in shoulder, good tailset, moved with drive. A little short of coat but of good quality. PGD (9) 1. Corri’s Inverglen Banjo. Lovely balanced dog. Super masculine head, nice dark eye neat ears. Clean well laid shoulders, good reach of neck into correct topline. Strong well angulated quarters, excellent tailset. Nicely presented. 2. Tullis’s Drumsheugh True Grit ShCm. Same sire as winner who abviously is passing on quality. Lovely dog to handle, not as mature as one needing time to body up. Lovely head proportions with pleasing expression. Clean well laid shoulders, good topline and tailset. Free easy mover. 3. Davison’s Antonia Apple Pie at Braxquin LD ( 12, 1abs) First three in this class were a real pleasure (if a headache) to judge. All should have exciting futures. 1. Gordon’s Lamsmore Fitzwritin. Great breadth to scull, nice eye. Clean well laid shoulders, well ribbed, short coupled. Excellent tailset and carriage. Presentation topclass. Moved with real drive keeping a lovely outline on the move. 2. Thomson’s Ashgate US Patriot. Another with a lovely strong masculine head, dark eye good expression. Good shoulder, well ribbed, short coupled. Correct tailset with strong well angulated quarters. Not so settled on the move as winner. 3. Brittens Krisma Spitnpolish. Another lovely dog to handle, everything in the right place. To me still looking a little immature. OD (8,1) 1 & CC Abbey’s Kristajen Know It All. A lesson in patience and knowing your dog (no pun intended) Judged this dog a couple of years ago when I found him to be a real raw youngster. Well everything has grown into place and he has matured into a well balanced dog that needs to be handled to be appreciated. Great width to scull, strong muzzle, neat well used ears. Reachy neck into the cleanest of well laid shoulders, well ribbed, short coupled. Strong level topline, correct tailset with well angulated quarters. Moves true with great freedon of action, looks as though he could go all day. 2.& RCC Another I judged a couple of years again and again found to be immature and just needing time. Super headed dog, nice eye with pleasing expression. Well laid shoulders, short coupled, correct topline and tailset. Although moved out well with drive I felt he and handler were not totally as one today. 3. Smith’s Royalcartier Entertainer MPB (6,1) 1. Squire’s Kimgarwyn Bramble. Liked for overall make and shape. Feminine head with nice eye, good bite. Lovely shoulder, good topline well ribbed. Excellent tailset and quarters. Moved with great freedom of action keeping overall shape. 2. Cole’s Cochansa Dales Pride. Real raw youngster but promising prospect. Attractive head with dark eye, pleasing expression. Well ribbed, correct topline and tailset. Very accurate on the move. 3. Harper’s Westigo In On The Act PB (7, 3) 1 & BP, PG4: Lilley & Milling’s Lilmill Potty’s Dotty. So balanced at all times. Lovely head with strong muzzle. Neat ear, dark eye good bite, most pleasing expression. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, Well ribbed, short coupled, great tailset and quarters. Lovely harsh jacket with excellent presentation. Moved true showing drive and extension. Delighted to see she also took the eye if our BIS judge. 2. Squire’s Bellevue Dream Girl. Also has an attractive head with nice dark eye. Pleasing shoulders placement, well ribbed, short coupled. Strong quarters and moved out well though not as positively as winner. 3. Gaydon’s Bellevue Town Flirt At Gilbri JB (9,1) A really competitive class, many of these should have an exciting future. 1. Lancaster’s Clanstar Careless Affair. A daughter of my DCC winner and he has certainly passed on his excellent qualities but like him she just needs time to mature. Great width to scull, dark eye, neat ears, lovely pigment. Reachy neck into clean well laid shoulders, strong topline, short coupled, good tailset with great quarters. Moved effortlessly. 2. Lilly & Milling’s Lillmill Giv Me You Answer Do. Most attractive head with dark eye, neat ears and lovely expression. Well laid shoulders, strong topline short coupled. Correct tailset, well angulated quarters, accurate on the move. Exc presentation. 3. Coley’s Karamynd On Cue For Kingsview. Another super bitch to handle, everything in the right place. Today could have moved out more positively. A trio of lovely young ladies YB (4) 1. Strand’s Westlake Pearly Lady. Attractive head with nice eye, neat ears. Strong muzzle. Correct topline, well ribbed, short coupled. Moved true, needs time to mature. 2. Hunt’s Kellethrigg Snowflake Lass Needs a liitle more ring experience. Pleased in head and expression. Well laid shoulder, correct topline and tailset. Moved with freedom. 3. Ladhams & Rudd’s Lynnsto Make It High Life For Juraspirit NB (3,1) 1. West’s Westlake Pearly Lady. 2. Noyce’s Maxula Aim To Please. Pleasing head and expression with nie dark eye, good bite. Strong topline with good tailset and quarters. Today moving a shade wide in front GB (5,2) 1. Disley’s Acredam Star Chaser. Lovely head and expression with nice dark eye, strong muzzle. Well laid shoulders, correct topline and tailset. Moved out well with drive and extension. 2. Cleland’s Something Similar At Birkfell. Also pleasing in head and expression. Correct topline and tailset, Could be more positive in front movement. PGB (11, 2) 1. Dale’s Lynnsto Ultraviolet JW. Lovely to handle. Most attractive feminine head with nice eye, neat ears good bite. Great reach of neck into well laid shoulders, strong topline, correct tailset well angulated quarters. Very true on the move. Excellent presentation. 2.Carlin & Gillott’s Bochara Miss Tique At Lizandycris. Up to size but balanced. Pleasing head with dark eye, neat ears and good bite. Reachy neck into well laid shoulders, good topline, short coupled, correct tailset. Moved true 3. Sizmore’s Lamsmore Miss Demeanour LB (14, 1). An ultra competitive class. As with limit dog the first two here gave me a difficult task. Very little to split them but the winner moved out the better after a number of circuits of the ring! 1. & RCC West’s Tomlyndon Look Of Love. Super head, dark eye neatest of ears, good bite. Nice reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Strong level topline with good tailset and well angulated quarters.Lovely presentation. Moved out with drive and extension just getting better the more she moved. 2. Hughe’s Brychdyn Kite Mark. Same comments exactly as for winner. Another truely lovely bitch with everything in the correct place. Beautifully presented, moved true from all angles. 3. Smith’s Lorbri Motown Magic OB (7) 1, BCC & BOB Coley’s Ch Kingsview Make or Break. My notes start with ‘a dream to handle’ Loved her make and shape. Good width to scull, nice eye, strong muzzle, good bite yet still retained her feminine expression.Pleasing reach of neck into clean well laid shoulders. Good return of upper arm. Well ribbed, short coupled, correct topline and tailset. Well angulated quarters with short hocks. Made well so moved well. Strong quarters taking her round the ring with great drive and plenty of front extension. 2. Thomson’s Ashgate Ardlussa. Another who was a joy to handle, very well balanced. Clean well laid shoulders, well ribbed, short coupled, correct topline with good tailset and well angulated quarters. Also moved out with drive and extension, winner just keeping a better overall shape on the move. 3. Squires Kimgarwyn Pebble Modwena Johnston |
