WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE MANCHESTER 18
Since I last judged the breed I have noticed that movement has deteriorated, especially front action. Also mouths need to be watched, the standard calls for a 'scissor bite', there were a few exhibits with doubtfull bites. There was a number of exhibits with a superfluous amount of furnishings, more is not always better!
1 Cooper's Brorastar Urban Spaceman. 8 months old, who has a nice head and expression, well placed neat ears. Good outline, level topline with a correct tailset. Well developed in body for his age. Moved well behind, just needs to tighten up in front action. In a well prepared coat and showed well.
1 Winett's Duskhunter Ruff Diamond. I liked this youngster very much. Nice for size and shape. Pleasing head with a keen expression, nice dark eye. Good muscular neck which runs into his level topline, deep through the chest with good ribbing. Moved out well behind, in nice coat and condition. Showed well.
1 Dale's Lynnsto Special Agent. Nice for size and overall shape. He has a very nice head and expression, neat well placed ears. Good in neck, shoulders and straight in front. Well developed body, well made hindquarters with the correct tailset. In a very nice quality coat, moved with a free fluent movement. Just needs to gain more confidence and could go higher.
1 Squire's The Dashing Devil's Macho Man. Liked this boys size and breed type. Good expressive head, good neck and well placed shoulder. Well made body, good forechest and front. Nice turn of stifle, well muscled hindquarters with correct tailset. Moves with plenty of drive and attitude. In good harsh coat and showed well.
2 McBean's Pryorvale Summer Knight. Close up to first. He too has a very nice head and expression. Good neck with a clean balanced outline. Well made body, in good coat and condition. Just preferred the front action of first.
3 Thomson's Fernsunrise Fairplay To Ashgate.
A very nice class.
1 Gillott & Carlin's Lizandycris Line Me Up. I liked this dogs size, shape and balance. He has a masculine head and expression. Good length of neck that blends into a level topline. Good shoulder angulation, straight front and well developed body. Well made hindquarter's with a correct tailset. In a well presented harsh coat, moved and showed with plenty of enthusiasm. Pleased to award him the CC.
2 Noyce's Ch Armadales Son Of A Gun At Maxula. Another nice dog, a little stronger in head than first, nice keen expression. Good reach of neck which runs into his level topline. Nice shoulder angulation, well made body with depth of chest and nice ribbing. Strongly made hindquarters with a good turn of stifle. In a well presented harsh textured coat. Just preferred the front movement of first, a close decision. Well deserved the RCC.
3 Foster's Hillstead Masquerade At Thozow.
1 Lynch's Bobby Josef At Linacrelads. 12 years old with a nice head and expression, straight in front. Good outline, nice mature body with the correct tailset. In a nice coat, moved nicely and he has a nice temperament.
A nice class.

Very pleasing turn of stifle, strong hindquarters with a good tailset. In a well presented harsh coat. Moved well both ways. Unfortunately in the challenge she didn't co-operate with
