WEST HIGHLAND WHITE MANCHESTER 13 Judge: Britta Roos Borjeson (Sweden) BEST OF BREED : 1888 SMITH Mrs V Ch Faymar Fine Romance WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE MANCHESTER 13 West Highland White Terriers I had an excellent entry of 87 WHWT, most of them of very nice type & conformation. It is 50 years since I bought my first WHWT from England. The breed was not at all well known in other European countries, but had a great number of fantastic breeders in England; Branston, Lasara, Sollershot, Quakertown…… Names forever to be remembered! After having judge in many countries all over the world I feel that the depth of the breed is still, in capable hands, in its country of original. A special thought for future is to think about heads, as it is so important for the breed, character & general impression. I had quite a few with weak skulls, poor stops & too long & narrow forefaces. I was in general very pleased with presentation, even though I had a few I felt could have used cleaning instead of relying on chalk.
