WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 15
It is a couple of years since I judged and I am concerned that we are losing breed type and good quality heads so this needs to be watched. I would like to thank all exhibitors concerned for the quality entry and the sporting manner in which they accepted my decisions. I would also like to thank my stewards for their help on the day.
MINOR PUPPY DOG (2 Entries, 0 Absent)
1 Gaydon’s HOPECHARM TONY ONE
Confident, cobby young man who has all the essentials. Masculine head with neat ears and dark eye. Well laid shoulders, short back. Strong hindquarters which he used to advantage on the move. I will watch his progress with interest
2 Purchon’s LINDENKA I’M DEXTER
Another quality, promising puppy. Similar qualities to the winner. Still a baby and needs time.

1 Corri’s INVERGLEN LOWE’N’BEHOLD
Very typical of the breed – good overall shape and well balanced. Strong head. Well muscled. Moved with purpose and drive.
2 Windram’s LOUIE CONQUISTADOR
Pleasantly surprised when I handled this dog. Good overall make and shape, front and pleasing hindquarters. Coat needs attention. Moved a little reluctantly today.
3 Budge’s CHARMEDAUTUM DAZZLE
OPEN DOG (7 Entries, 1 Absent)
Class of the day.
1 Strand’s CRINAN CODE NAME WESTLAKE
A typical WHWT demonstrating the true characteristics of the breed. Strongly built, deep in chest, level back, powerful quarters on muscular legs and exhibits a great combination of strength and activity. He excels in head with a lovely broad muzzle. His movement was free, straight and easy all round and he was full of self-esteem. His tail was on top at all times. I was delighted to award him the CC – his second, hope his third isn’t too far away.
C.C. AND BEST OF BREED
2 Hughes’s CHAMPION BRYCHDYN DIAMOND GEEZER
Unlucky to meet the winner today. This dog impressed me with his overall quality. Good head, neck and shoulder. Straight front, short back leading to strong hindquarters. Moved with drive. Tail on top. Good coat and well presented. A worthy champion.

3 Purchon’s LINDENKA DONOVAN
MINOR PUPPY BITCH (2 Entries, 0 Absent)
1 Purchon’s LINDENKA APPLE KRUMBLE
And she did make me ‘krumble’ – what a sweetie! Strong head with prettiest of expressions. Lovely shape and balance both when stacked and on the move. Sound hindquarters with tail on top. Moved correctly.
2 Fox’s HILLSTED SWEET MYSTERY
A puppy who needs time to complete the picture. At the moment, longer cast than the winner. Moved with lots of enthusiasm.
PUPPY BITCH (8 Entries, 2 Absent)
1 Burns’s BURNEZE GEORDIE GIRL
What can I say about this bitch puppy that hasn’t already been said – she is a true show girl with lots of ring presence for one so young. She is very alert and at one with her handler. Look forward to watching her progress. Pleased to award her Best Puppy and later to see her win the Terrier Puppy Group.
BEST PUPPY IN BREED

2 Burns’s BURNEZE DIAMOND DIVA
Litter sister to the Puppy Bitch class winner – similar qualities to her but rangier. Preferred the head and the tail carriage of the winner. Good coat.

1 Fryer’s HOPECHARM OPS A DAISY
One I have admired from the ringside and lived up to my expectations. Good overall shape and balance. Lovely eye and expression. Neat ears. Good front and shoulder. Level topline. Sound hindquarters. Very attentive to her handler. A little spooked on the move but deserved her place.
