WEST HIGHLAND WHITE EAST OF ENGLAND 11 Judge(s) MISS E S MACALLAN DCC ROYALCARTIER ENTERTAINER (MR W J SMITH) West Highland White Terriers MPD (4) 1 Fox’s Hillsted Same Again, very mature & well constructed for age, excellent head, good shoulder placement, compact body with strong well muscled hindquarters, well set tail, good harsh coat, well presented, moved well & with confidence. BP; 2 Kabel & Bouwhuis’ Llovall A King Of Hearts, another promising puppy but, at present, not so well developed in head as 1. Correct shoulder placement & developing well in body & hindquarters, moved well; 3 Jennings’ Comdale Gorgeous George. PD (2) 1 Britten’s Walk The Line vom Deipen Brook to Krisma, very mature young dog, pleasing head, good mouth, compact body, correct tailset, well presented harsh coat. Movement a bit erratic coming & going; 2 Soar’s Sonjay Hot Prospect, less mature than 1 but still a promising puppy. Good head but ear placement not as good as 1. JD (3) 1 West’s Tomlyndon Spoilt Rotten, very smart young dog, good head, correct bite, adequate length of neck & good shoulder placement, straight front, good body proportions, correct tailset, good coat texture, well presented, moved out well & with confidence; 2 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandycris Devlin Disgise, another nice young dog with similar qualities to 1 but coat not as good at present. PGD (11) I found this a very difficult class to judge because of variety of type, presentation & movement. 1 Davison’s Antonia Apple Pie at Braxquin, pleasing head & expression, muscular neck running into well placed shoulders, short back, compact body, good tailset, well bent hocks, good harsh coat, well presented. A bit short in upper arm which affected his movement; 2 Noyce’s Maxula Name Of The Game, good head, neck & shoulders, good depth of rib, level topline, good tailset, harsh coat well presented. A bit short in upper arm; 3 Soar’s Sonjay Fast Forward. LD (9) 1 Smith’s Royalcartier Entertainer, very masculine dog who stood out in this class, pleasing head with dark eye, strong muzzle & well set ears, good length of neck merging into well laid back shoulders, excels in front with adequate length of upper arm allowing for free movement & forward extension, compact body with level back & strong muscular hindquarters, good harsh coat, clean & well presented, good tailset, moved well. CC & BOB; 2 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandycris Out To Play, another good dog, good head, neck & shoulders, compact body, good tailset. Not so good in rearquarters as 1. Harsh white coat, well presented; 3 Tullis’ Drumsheugh True Grit. OD (7) 1 Gordon’s Ch Lamsmore Fitzwritin, it was a pleasure to be given the opportunity to go over this top winning dog, lovely head & expression, good shoulder placement, straight front & compact body, well set on tail, very smart & showy on the move. On the day I felt he was short of coat. RCC; 2 Lewis’ Lynnsto Man About Town, another lovely dog with similar qualities to 1, very well presented. In the end it came down to splitting hairs & I preferred ear placement of 1; 3 Corri’s Inverglen Banjo. MPB (4) 1 Jennings’ Comdale Club Class, very pretty puppy with good head & expression, neat well placed ears, straight front, excellent neck & shoulders, firm body with good rearquarters & well set on tail, good coat, well presented, moved well & with confidence. BPB; 2 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandycris Ready To Rock, another nice puppy, slightly more mature looking than 1 but I preferred head & expression of 1; 3 Fox’s Comdale Miss January at Hillsted. PB (5) 1 Gaydon’s Gilbri Royal Sapphire, promising 10 months puppy, needs to settle in rear movement, pulling-in on one hind leg; 2 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Serenade Girl, smart puppy, maturing nicely. Not so good in hind movement; 3 Cooper’s Brorastar Words Of Love. JB (7) 1 Gaydon’s Gilbri Spanish Rose, very attractive bitch, lovely head & expression with excellent pigmentation, good shoulders, compact body, good rearquarters, correct tailset, moved well; 2 Purchon’s Montrose by Lindenka, nice bitch, rangier type than 1 & not such a pleasing head. Moved well; 3 Bradbury’s Petalam New Era. PGB (6) 1 Kabel’s Llovall And All That, lovely bitch who stood out in this class, feminine head, good shoulders, straight front, short back & good tailset, harsh well presented coat, moved well; 2 Foster’s Thozow Sweet Violet, plainer head than 1 & not so good in hindquarters which affected movement; 3 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Snowflake Lass. LB (8) 1 Smith’s Faymar Fine Romance, what a lovely bitch! I just fell in love with her from her gorgeous head to the top of her tail, definitely the bitch I wanted to take home! Excellent neck & shoulders, straight front, deep chest, short coupled, strong hindquarters with good bend of stifle & well set hocks, moved out freely, very well presented as always by this exhibitor. CC; 2 Griffiths’ Karamynd Make A Splash, another lovely bitch, pleasing head, neck & shoulders, short back, good tailset. Strong hindquarters but not moving out as freely as 1; 3 Corri’s Inverglen Sophie. OB (5) 1 Gaydon’s Ch Bellevue Town Flirt at Gilbri, lovely bitch & well deserved ch whose attributes are already well documented. In the challenge I preferred the head of Fine Romance.
