We were blessed with perfect weather and conditions, a large ring with flat ground and short grass at this show. There was a happy atmosphere and some high quality Westies being exhibited.
PD 1 (abs 1)
JD 2 (abs 0)
1 Fox’s Hillsted Same Difference. Very masculine young man in excellent coat and condition. Well boned and good substance. Broad in skull and strong muzzle. Good reach of neck merging into clean shoulders. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved really well. RDCC
2 Thomson’s Lynnsto Full Circle with Ashgate. Another masculine young man. Good in outline and deep in body. Strong head. Once settled he moved well with powerful hindquarters. Not as confident as 1.
PGD 3 (abs 1)
1. Purchon’s Lindenka Jack Daniels. Good type with typical head and expression, broad skull and good stop, deep in muzzle. Good reach of neck and excellent layback of shoulder and short coupled. Strong hindquarters and good tailset. Moved better behind than in front
2. Jenkinson’s Highcross Buddy Holly. Less mature than 1. He still needs to deepen in chest and I felt today he would benefit by carrying more weight to give him more substance. Clean, well laid shoulders and short coupled. Tail well set.
LD 3 (abs 0)
1. Jenkins, Owen & Crockett’s Duncabury Hear the Boss via Havasu. A well balanced dog, beautifully presented and in excellent condition. Very good head, well made up under the eye and strong muzzle. Good reach of neck and well laid shoulder, short in back. Well muscled. Moved well. DCC, BOB
2. Bradbury’s Fourastay Fontayne JW. An attractive dog that has matured well since I last judged him. A strong male and generally well constructed. Looks best when he stands himself as he loses outline when stacked. Moved well.
3. Smith’s Lingbeck The One and Only
PB 1 (abs 0)
1. Cummins’ Hillcloud Delphi. Free moving baby girl, enjoying her day and tail always up. Typical head and expression, short back and strong hindquarters. BP
PGB 5 (abs 2)
1. Edmondson’s Highcross Prosecco at Pepabby. Stylish girl with a beautiful outline. Good reach of neck and clean shoulders, short coupled with well muscled hindquarters. Showed very well and at one with her handler. Still some maturity to come, still lacking depth of body. RBCC
2. Smith’s Lingbeck Hold the Dream. Feminine bitch with a lot of charm. Typical head and expression, short coupled with good body.. She moved freely and held her tail at all times.
3. Jenkinson’s Highcross Pandora.
LB 4 (abs1)
1. Fox’s Hillsted Sweet Destiny. Beautifully constructed bitch, feminine but strong as a terrier should be. Well constructed throughout with excellent lay back of shoulder and good reach of neck. Short coupled, with deep chest and broad across the loins. Tail well carried at all times. Excellent coat and condition. Powered herself round the ring. BCC
2. Bradbury’s Fourastay Fedora JW. Mature bitch with very strong head and good expression. Deep in body and good bone and substance. Short back, strong hindquarters. Moved well.
3. Purchon’s Lindenka Apple Crumble
OB 2 (abs 1)
1. Storey’s Lizandycris Dior for Nossimp. Striking bitch to look at when stood, so well presented and the whitest of coats. Liked her type, with short back and the best of heads. Physically she is at her prime, deep in chest and strong hindquarters. She just needs that oomph that would propel her up to top honours.
