WEST HIGHLAND WHITE CRUFTS 11 West Highland White Terrier Judge(s): MR T A TORBET WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER It was a great privilege to judge the breed at Crufts, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would like to thank my stewards and all the exhibitors, some had come from abroad. It was a pleasure to go over the dogs and not fine a hint of chalk in any of the coats. VD(6, 3) 1 Vizmathy &Bauer's Int/W/Eu Ch Leonhard's Supertramp. 9 years old, good head and expression, short back, moved well for his age, harsh white coat. 2 Thomson's Ch/Ir/Int/Am Ch Ashgate Scot's Progress JW. Very sound compact dog, good reach of neck, level topline, tail on top, harsh coat, moved well. 3 Geldart's Gelmoore Spin Doctor. Good front, well ribbed, good topline and tail set, moved and showed well. Sp PD(6) 1 Burns' Burneze Dizzee Rascal. A strong pup for his age, nice head, correct mouth, dark eye, shoulders blended nicely into his body, tail on top, a good white coat, just a little bit on the short side, moved and showed well, had a lovely outline, stood out in the class. BP. 2 Squire's Bellevue Special Catch. Good head, dark eye, good bite, well laid shoulders into a short, compact body, tail on top, moved and showed well. 3 Squire's Kimgarwyn Arlo. Good head and expression, well boned, moved and showed well, good harsh white coat. Sp JD(2, 1) 1 West's Tomlyndon Spoilsport. Nice type, loved his head, good front, reach of neck, tail on top, moved and showed well, pity there was only one in the class. YD(6) 1 Gaydon's Gilbri Stars And Stripes. Nice type up to the standard, good head and reach of neck, correct shoulder, good bone, short back, tail on top, harsh coat, moved and showed well. 2 Owen's Bournehaven Triple Target ShCM. I liked his head and expression, good front and reach of neck, short back and tail on top, moved with drive, again a nice white coat. 3 Carlin &Gillott's Lizandycris Out To Play. A nice type, good head and shoulders, short back, moved and showed well. PGD(9) 1 Jenkins' Havasu Hugo Boss. Lovely head and expression, good reach of neck, correct shoulders, straight front, short back with tail on top, moved with drive, when in stance, has a lovely outline, harsh white coat, well presented, given a little time should have a great future. 2 Edmondson's Pepabby Prank. Another very nice one, good head and nice ear placement, neck running into good shoulders, short back, tail on top, coat could be better, looked the part in stance, well presented, moved and showed well. 3 Soar's Sonjay Fash Forward. Strong and outgoing dog, good head, correct shoulder, strong body, moved well, good coat. LD(11, 2) 1 Kuik's Alfie The Prince Of White Gallardo. A strong, eye catching stallion type of dog, good coat, strong head and muzzle, good layback of shoulder into a short back, good depth of rib, strong boned, tail on top, would have liked more furnishing on his tail, moved and covered the ground, well presented. Res DCC. 2 Lewis' Lynnsto Man About Town. Good outline, correct head and expression, strong mouth, short back, moved with drive, tail on top, well presented. 3 Budge's Rozamie Icicle. A very balanced dog, good head and expression, straight front, showed well, nice type. OD(13, 5) 1 Griffiths' Ch/Int Ch Karamynd Play The Game JW. I have judged this dog before, he has improved with age, his virtues are many, to type dog, short, strong and well put together, lovely head and expression, dark eye, good mouth, correct shoulder, deep rib and strong hindquarters, well presented, lovely white coat, moved and showed well. DCC and BOB. 2 Gordon's Ch Lamsmore Fitzwritin. A strong outgoing dog, good head and clean shoulders, good outline, short back, good quarters, moved with drive, very well presented. 3 Owen's Havasu Hot Rodd Via Duncabury. Strong outgoing dog, good head and correct shoulders, good overall body, harsh white coat, needs time. Good Citizen D (2) 1 Fletcher-King's Kellbany White Wizard At Leyhey. Nice outline, good head, short back, white coat, moved and showed well. 2 Forbes' Karensbrae Independence. Good outline, good head, short back, tail on top, moved well. VB(10, 2) 1 Milner's Juanne Gin N Soda. I admired this bitch going around the ring, good outline, good head, short back, showed her heart out, moved so well for her age, they must be proud of her. 2 Filmore's Karagem Sloane Ranger. Another nice one, good neck and shoulders, hard white coat, moved and showed well, enjoying her day out. 3 Windram's Barnwin Im Daisy May. Another nice one, good head, neck and shoulders, short back with tail on top. A pleasure to own. Sp PB(6, 2) 1 Squire's Kimgarwyn Opal. A good sized puppy for her age, liked her attitude, good outline, correct neck and shoulders, moved and showed well. 2 Squire's Bellevue Lookin' For Love. Remarks similar to first, not so outgoing, still a very feminine puppy. 3 Noyce's Maxula Make A Promise. Good outline, short back, feminine puppy, moved and showed, tail on top. Sp JB(5, 2) 1 Smith's Faymar Fine Romance. A very mature bitch, full of quality, good head and mouth, dark eye, liked her expression, correct shoulders, good layback, harsh white coat, moved and showed well, very well presented. 2 Smith's Lingbeck Playing The Lady. Good outline, short and cobby, good head and shoulders, moved and showed well. 3 Brockwell's Hillsted Sitara Shines For Jackinaspin. Remarks similar to second, just a little bit smaller, but moved very well. YB(8, 2) 1 Squire's Bellevue Party Spirit. Nice outline, good head and muzzle, dark eye, correct bite, tail on top, looked well in stance and on the move. 2 Claridge's Hillcloud Echo With Ashgate. Good outline, short, good strong head, dark eye, correct shoulders, good hard coat, moved well. 3 Pike's Caromagic Shooting Star. Very mature, short and cobby, good head, short back, moved well. PGB(10, 1) 1 Burns' Burneze Truly Talented. I admired this bitch going round the ring. I was not disappointed. Good head and shoulders, nice depth of rib, white coat, just a little short on the day, overall well balanced, moved and showed very well. 2 Roche's Lindenka Kaylah At Sanjoc. A very nice to the standard bitch, good head, dark eye, clean shoulders, short back, tail on top, moved and showed well. 3 Cooper's Brorastar Ain't She Sweet. A mature bitch, good outline, strong bone, harsh white coat, showed and moved well. LB(12, 2) 1 Griffiths' Karamynd Make A Splash. A well balanced bitch, deep and short, well boned, lovely head with deep set eye, good shoulder and layback, moved with drive, good harsh white coat, very well presented. Res BCC. 2 Coley's Karamynd On Cue For Kingsview. A genuine lady, lovely head and expression, dark eye, good mouth, clean front and shoulder, short back, showed well with tail on top. 3 Squire's Kimgarwyn Bramble. Another nice bitch, well balanced, good head, correct shoulders, harsh coat, showed well, tail on top, well presented. OB(11, 5) 1 Cooper's Ch Ashgate Camelia. A lovely girl, good size and balance, strong head, lovely expression, correct mouth, good shoulders and straight front, short back, strong back quarters, lovely white coat, moved and showed well with drive, a worthy champion. BCC. 2 Gaydon's Ch Bellevue Town Flirt At Gilbri. Another eyecatching bitch, same qualities as first, good head, nice layback, short back, moved well with tail on top, well presented. 3 Varga's Ch Jessy Zo Zlatej Zahrady. Nice girl, good outline, good head, short back, moved and showed well. Good Citizen B (2) 1 Andrews' Rupann Silver Charm. Nice type, good outline, nice head and ear placement, short back, moved and showed well. 2 Andrews' Kellethrigg Christmas Rose At Rupann. A little smaller type, good outline and coat, moved and showed well, still a smart bitch. T A Torbet |
