WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 24

A lovely entry numerically and with plenty of quality, a good Open Dog class and a great Open Bitch class of 6 champions, what a pleasure for me. Many thanks to my very efficient stewards, Mark and Joyce Collins.

MPD 2(1)

1. Burns’ Burneze Reach For The Stars. 8 months, well grown and now needs to drop and fill his frame, strong skull and muzzle, strong bone, good on the move, needs time for coat, BPD.

PD 1(0)

1. Stankiene/Stankus’ Forest Sprite Whisper Dusk via Vivolunar (imp POL). 9 months, I liked his size and proportions and was in excellent coat, short backed with good tail set, he can develop in skull and muzzle, sound but lacking a little confidence in the noisy hall.

GD 1(0)

1. Owens’ Frisbeck Horn Pipe. 2 years old of standard size with excellent coat and good tail set, good muzzle, ears a little wide set and large, good rear action, could have a little more angulation in front.

PGD 3(2)

1. Vysniauskiene/Vysniauskas’ Baltoji Aurora at Cherryleague. 2 years old, standard size and short in the back, good neck, his skull is a little narrow and eyes close set, good ears, needs more rib, coat texture could be better, good rear action, too much hair on front legs, if he carried more body it would improve his top-line.

LD 3(0)

1. Szulzycka’s Querubin New Gryffindor (imp ESP). 3 years old, short backed dog full of breed type in head, ears, coat, ribbing and tail, short coupled, good neck, strongly boned, moved accurately and with great style, filled the eye, never stopped showing, DCC & BOB.

2. Fox’s Hillstead Same Difference. 4 years old, slightly larger dog and not as short coupled, well presented in good coat, I preferred strength of foreface of the winner, good rear action, not the front of winner.

3. Goodwin-Nolan’s Mac Too Hi Ho Silver.

OD 6(3)

1. Dale’s Phoenix Superbia Lynnsto CJW11. 4 years with beautiful head, ears and eyes, very good ribcage and tail set, I would like him a little cleaner in front action, coat could be a little harder, full of type and scored here in maturity of head and body, RDCC.

2. Britten’s Krisma Fine Fettle. 2 years, lovely proportions and coat texture and movement, not yet fully finished in head and looked raw against the winner, excellent top-line and tail set, he should have a good future.

3. Steemson’s Ch. Bocans Hot Of The Press.

SBB 2(1)

1. Seymour’s Fourastay Fine Design. 17 months, top size, very confident and accurate mover, coat needs attention but it has good texture, good head proportions, pigment, ears a little large, BSpB.

VB 1(0)

1. Bacon’s Cabon Sea Coral. 7 years old who has a lot of type, short backed with excellent coat texture, top-line and tail set, good front action, lacks a little rear angulation, skull a touch narrow but has good fill of muzzle and deep set dark eyes, BV.

MPB 3(1)

1. Bouwhuis’ Krisma Finishing Touch for Llovall. 8 months, beautifully presented and in crisp coat, she runs up a little in the rear at the moment and she is a little narrow in chest but scored in width of skull and coat here.

2. Stankiene/Stankus’ Miss Eris Whisper Duck (FCI) (imp POL) NAF TAF. 8 months, I preferred her for her shortness of back and hindquarters but she is still carrying a soft woolly coat and needs some work on presentation, loved her type and she can do better when she has adult coat and is trimmed.

PB 3(1)

1. Thomson’s Ashgate Kelso. 10 months, excellent shape with short back and good top-line and tail set, scored in bone and feet, good head proportions but her ears are wide set, sound and accurate on the move, BP.

2. Crozier’s Dalskairth Kirkcolm Cutie. 9 months, short backed with good tail set and carriage, head needs time to develop, not the bone or chest of the winner, has promise.

JB 3(0)

1. Bradbury’s Fourastay Flower Power. 17 months, short bodied bitch in excellent coat, good quarters and tail set, uses her hocks well, good head proportions, dark eye and neat well set ears, BJ.

2. Seymour’s Fourastay Fine Design. Repeat.

GB 3(1)

1. Stankiene/Stankus’ Vivolunar Impress Me. 19 months, scored in maturity of rib and body to win this, could have wider underjaw, good head proportions, nose pigment could be darker, superb coat texture.

2. Thomson’s Hillcloud Echowave by Ashgate. 14 months, lovely outline and she moved well, needs time to finish in head, ears a little large, needs time for coat then she can do well.

PGB 4(0)

1. Szulzycka’s Newvoldemort Just For Me. 2 years, lovely type and great movement and attitude, superb coat texture, her head has good proportions but her eyes are too large, scored here in underjaw and extension in front.

2. Vysniauskiene/Vysniauskas’ Nina Ricci Blataj at Cherryleague. 18 months, another good bitch with very short back and excellent coat, good skull and ears, not the strength of muzzle and underjaw of winner but better pigmentation, not the extension in front, good rear.

3. Chambers’ Circinus Dreaming All Day.

LB 4(1)

1. Britten’s Krisma Winter Sun. 2 years old, lovely bitch for size, shortness of body and in excellent coat, very good head proportions in which she scored to win this class, full of attitude on the move.

2. Steemson’s Still The One I Dream of Whisper Duck by Bocans. 18 months, another top quality bitch with excellent body, top-line, coat and tail, good skull, ears a little wide set, not yet the finish of muzzle of the winner, very good on the move.

3. Crozier’s Dalskairth Glamis Girl.

OB 7(1)

Excellent class, right down the line.

1. Noyce’s Ch. Maxula Vanilla Ice Cream. 3 years old, filled the eye for type and excelled on the move, she has lovely head proportions, well placed ears and good eye, in excellent coat, carried herself well, handler could make more of her but she is a beautiful bitch, BCC, in the challenge she tired a little and gave the edge to the dog but I loved her.

2. Smith’s Ch. Lingbeck Hold The Dream. 4 years old, same type as the winner and many of the same remarks apply, good skull but I slightly preferred fill of muzzle of winner, excellent movement but not quite the rock steady top-line of winner but another beautiful bitch, RBCC.

3. Storey’s Ch. Lizandycris The New Hope for Nossimp.
