WEST HIGHLAND WHITE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 19 Judge: Mr A Wight BEST OF BREED : 5102 GRIFFITHS Mrs J A Ch Karamynd Guilded Lily WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 19 MPD (4) 1 Minett’s Duskhunter Diamond In D’skys what a good start with this harsh coated, very smart youngster. I liked his head, neat ears, excellent pigmentation and full of life expression. He has well sprung ribs, is firm backed, correct tail set and carriage and is brisk and light in action. Should have a good career. 3 Davison’s Hopecharm Midnight Cowboy PD (2) 1 Foster & Foster’s Thozow Master Of The House immaculately presented and coated young man with such a reach of neck, short compact body and well set and carried tail. He has a balanced head, dark well shaped eyes and very neat ears. Moved around the ring with such purpose that he could not be denied. 2 Bradbury’s Fourastay Fontayne at this stage is taller and leaner all through than the Master. Loved his head enhanced by such lovely eyes and a good nose. He is well ribbed, the length comes from his loin, well set and carried tail. Not moving out with the panache and driver of the winner. 1 Smith’s Lingbeck The One And Only nicely shape outline, all male head with such a lovely black nose and good eyes. Sufficient reach of neck, certainly compact in body and his tail is well set and carried. At this stage he needs to firm up in pastern and whilst he shows rear drive in profile, he could be straighter when rear viewed. Lovely harsh, well presented jacket. 1 Eason’s Andjoliam Silent Witness pleasing headpiece, ears set on the low side for me which detract from the urgency of his expression. He has a good ribcage, the hindquarters are so well muscled and the tail bang on. Needs to tighten in elbow when on the stack and I would like his hocks to be straighter when rear viewed on the move. 1 Mitchell’s Newvoldemort Nostradamus at Frazandmtich lovely size, so short backed, very good spring and depth of rib, short loin and very good tail set complete an attractive outline. He has a well shaped head, pleasing expression and he was immaculate in coat presentation. The most positive mover in this class. 2 Owens’ Frisbeck Guitarman I liked his head, dark eyes and expression, ample reach of neck which is nicely arched and a firm backline. He is a tad longer cast than the winner and whilst his coat is a good texture it had not quite the finish of Nostra. Sound in action but could step out with a bit more zest. 1 & Res CC Walden’s Thozow Great Expectations For Taramount ShCM ShCE, I really admired this very smart and attractively head dog. On the stack he cannot fail to take the eye with that lovely neck and head carriage, the short back, the tail set just as I would want it and then his coat presentation being the icing on the cake. He is so well constructed and once he decides to move out he has reach and drive and complete soundness when viewed front and rear. I should think will go on to his title. 1 & CC Burns & Burns’ Burneze Wild At Heart what a showstopper this extremely handsomely headed dog is. Benefits from expert presentation, not a hair out of place and he is so co-operative with his handler, never putting a foot wrong. His shape draws the eyes, the neck and head carriage imply importance, all male in style and attitude and he moves around the ring with energy and drive. I am told this is his 4th ticket and I am sure there will be others to follow. 2 Lilley & Milling’s Ch Lilmill Nosey Parker shade heavier all through but lots to like and a very worthy Ch. He scores in head, eyes and expression, so well ribbed and bodied, moves out with much purpose and was so well presented in coat. Made it easier for the winner as he has a tendency to lean back on the stack which detracts from his appeal. 3 Steemson’s Multyi Int Ch Bocans Backin Business (Imp) Headed by 3 lovely babies. 1 & BP & PG4 Fox’s Hillsted Sweet Destiny an absolute poppet with the sweetest of expressions from stunning eyes combined with very neat high set ears. Undeniably feminine in every way, robust body, super neck and backline, ideal tail set and carriage, expertly presented and handled and she just exudes class with breed type. Moves out soundly with an air of being very important. Surely a very bright future. 2 Minett’s Duskhunter Shines Bright younger and smaller all through but with a rather nice headpiece assisted by having neat little ears which she uses so well. Her coat is a lovely texture, the ribs well sprung her tail set and carriage add to her charm and she is so steady as she circles the ring. 3 Burns & Burns Burneze Role Model. PB (6/2) 1 Foster & Foster’s Thozow I’d Do Anything another from this Affix which appealed to me. Neat, compact, so short backed, useful neck, lovely pigmentation and she was so well presented. Her head has charm, the eyes mischievous and it made me smile when her dislike of the drain covers in the ring clanged so she skipped over them! 2 Davies’ Manakels First Addition, lots to like, pleasing head proportions, enough reach of neck, lovely ribbing and fairly short loin leading to a good tail. Her coat texture is good and she only lost out as she tends to toe in front when fore viewed but hopefully that will change as she matures. 3 Stankiene & Stankus’ Newvoldemort Cookie. 1st & Res CC Burns & Burns Ch Burneze Maid To Order oh so very, very feminine and just oozing Westie charm. I liked everything about her, the size, the shape, her excellent legs and feet, that eye catching outline assisted by a really good neck and the lot blessed with that beguiling head and expression. A real charmer, so sound moving and sure to add to her list of successes. Ran the BOB to a photo finish. 1st Owen’s Egremont Happy Go Lucky quite square oultine, well balanced head with such good eyes and a big nose, scores in reach of neck which adds to her, in excellent coat and she looks at her best as she shifts around the ring, holding her shape and driving from her hocks. 2nd Fox’s Hillsted Sweet Whispers I liked so much on this beautifully headed bitch when I went over her on the table. The size, shape, and body all appealed. On the move she was toeing in coming towards me and she had not the rear thrust of the winner in profile. Again impeccably coated 3 Eason’s Anjoliam Amber Rose. 1 Davies’ Hillcloud Rigs At Manakel this is a very shapely, so stylish bitch whose presence enhanced the line up for the ticket. Her head is quality, the eyes and expression have much appeal, she is so well bodied, was quite sound in action. Well presented in coat and a delight to judge. 2 Harper’s Westigo Full Of Cheek this was another with much charm. Just not quite the lightness of foot of the winner but shapely in construction with such a pretty, ultra feminine headpiece with the neatest of ears and a delightful expression. Again shown in superb coat and condition. 3rd Gale’s Bellevue Nuts ‘n Bolts. 1 Storey’s Lizandycris Dior For Noss imp standing this quality bitch is a picture, using that good neck to advantage, shortening her back and complimenting her good tail set. I loved the head type, that sharp, inquisitive expression from such bright eyes, big nose and well placed ears. Although sound fore and rear, I feel she could just stride out in profile with a little more conviction. 2 Lilley & Millings Lilmill Cath Me If You Can here was another with lots to admire and whose skilful presentation aids her cause. Her head is so well balanced, big black nose, the brightest of expressions from lovely eyes, more than useful neck and her ribs are well arched behind the withers. In excellent bloom I just felt she could be a tad firmer in pastern on the move. 3rd Davison’s Braxquin Forget Me Not. 1, CC & BOB Griffiths’ Ch Karamynd Guilded Lily what a delight and this top quality bitch had to be in top form to win BOB in this quality entry. She has the prettiest of heads and expressions, a real Westie charm, so compact with a big ribbed body, short loin, tail set spot on, the angulations balanced and her harsh jacket flawlessly presented. She did everything asked of her and when it came to BOB I just fell for that beguiling expression which put here over a top class male. 2 Steemson’s Bocans News Flash, a size bigger all through but another very attractive and top quality bitch. Her head properties must appeal, the expression is so typical, her neck has length and she uses it so well on the stack. Good in rib depth and so well coated. She is sound in action but just not the tightness in backline of the winner on the day. 3 Harper’s Westigo Flirty Gertie.
