WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 11

West Highland White Terriers

A decent entry sadly depleted by many absentees.

VD (1)

1 Geldart’s Gelmoore Spin Doctor, strong masculine dog, excellent head, good short body, very sound behind, hard coat. Rather stuffy in neck & a little wide in front. Enjoying his day out.

MPD (3)

1 Jennings’ Comdale Gorgeous George, really lovely aptly named puppy with all the essentials. In good order, excellent neck & shoulders, good body, coat & rear, masculine strong head. Ears set a little wide. Moved well.

PD (3)

1 Fox’s Hillsted Same Again, short backed snow white dog of excellent overall make & shape. Pleasing head & eye, good legs & feet, happy shower. Could do with more angulation fore & aft. Very mature for his age;

2 Dunne’s Charosmack Changes Pace, pleasing puppy built on good lines, but finer all through & head could be more masculine. Very hard coat, shows well, straight behind.

JD (1)

1 Britten’s Walk The Line vom Deipen Brook to Krisma, bright white young dog, wonderful texture of coat of correct length. Short back, good body, tail on top, excellent bone, perfect size, shows really well, wonderful pigmentation. Front & shoulders not his fortune & he could be shorter & stronger in muzzle. Beautifully presented. RCC.

GD (1)

1 Claridge’s Hamish Ivory at Sunniwhite, hard coated masculine dog, good front, OK behind, masculine head. Showing a bit of colour & he could show with more enthusiasm.

PGD (5)

1 West’s Tomlyndon Spoilsport, smart, well made dog, moving & showing with great freedom. Very good outline, neck & shoulders. Needs more coat & could do with more substance. Time will be his best friend, perhaps a shade long cast. Pleasing head & expression;

2 Taylor’s Flassendale Fairlie, sturdy, short backed dog, typical head, good body, great coat. A little stuffy in neck & front could be straighter. Happy showman, in good order;

3 Stock’s Lindenka Baxter.

LD (5)

1 West’s Tomlyndon Spoilt Rotten, active, free moving dog, excellent outline, good neck & shoulders, excellent body properties, good set-on of tail, very hard coat showing colour, masculine head. Could do with more stop. Easy active mover;

2 Budge’s Rozamie Icicle, big dog, excellent head & expression, good shoulders. Coat could be in better order. Straight behind.

OD (7)

Difficult class with great variation.

1 Edmondson’s Pepabby Prank, easy winner who impressed greatly on the table. Lovely make & shape, good head, really good front, body & superb rear giving good drive on the move. Coat not his fortune. CC;

2 Purchon’s Lindenka Sullivan, masculine, in wonderful condition, strong head, good shoulders, sound rear. Longer cast than I prefer. Moved OK;

3 Lewis’ Ch Lynnsto Man About Town.

VB (1)

1 Windram’s Barnwin I’m Daisy May, lovely head & expression, good front. Rather long in back & she could have more neck. Coat not at its best. Moves well & happy temperament.

MPB (7)

Lovely class.

1 Jennings’ Comdale Starr, beautifully constructed baby puppy, lovely neck & shoulders, good front, rear & tail, short back, easy confident mover, feminine head. Liked her immensely. BP;

2 Fox’s Comdale Miss January at Hillsted, really promising puppy of lovely type, good head, very good body, coat & movement. Needs a little more angulation but an exciting prospect for the future;

3 Purchon’s Starstruck at Lindenka.

PB (4)

1 Edmondson’s Pepabby Pirouette, strong, snow white bitch, good body, excellent front, body & movement. Large in ears & head not her fortune. Happy outgoing temperament;

2 Storey’s Nossimp Only Girl In Command, small feminine bitch & rather too fine all over. Pleasing head, good coat. Would like a strong rear & sounder feet.

JB (4)

1 Thomson’s Ashgate Moonsie, really beautiful young bitch, built on lovely clean lines, very feminine, good head & eye, perfect front, clean shoulders, good body, perfect set-on of tail, very good rear & movement. Straight hard coat in pristine condition. CC & BOB;

2 Sweetzer’s Bellevue Wild At Heart, sizeable, strong bitch, good head & mouth, excellent body, coat & substance. Rather stuffy in neck & needs to lose weight. Short back, moved OK;

3 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Serenade Girl.

GB (4)

1 Claridge’s Hillcloud Echo with Ashgate, biggish bitch with plenty of substance, typical head, good bone. Ears set a little too wide & shoulders could be more pleasing. A little restricted on the move but nonetheless a bitch of excellent type.

PGB (4)

Difficult class with great variation.

1 Harper’s Westigo Precious Spirit, lovely head, eye & ears, very good front, neck & shoulders, short back, good coat. Tail set rather low. Moves OK but needs more drive behind;

2 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Snowflake Lass, excellent type, ultra short back, hard coat which could be whiter. Good legs & feet. Shoulders & movement not her fortune;

3 Stock’s Lindenka Apple Charlotte.

LB (8)

Lovely class with much food for thought.

1 Coley’s Karamynd On Cue for Kingsview, beautiful bitch, in lovely coat & condition, outstanding head & expression, good body, sound rear, very hard coat, fluid mover. Run in of neck could perhaps be smoother but I liked her hugely & she pressed hard in the challenge. RCC;

2 Purchon’s Lindenka Clancy, really lovely bitch to handle, beautiful head, wonderful pigment, very good front, neck & shoulders, ultra hard coat in perfect condition, good tail & rear, moved fluidly. Would have preferred a little more length of leg to perfect overall balance;

3 Smith’s Faymar Fine Romance.

OB (5)

1 Griffiths’ Karamynd Make A Splash, picture book outline, wonderful head & expression, good front, legs & feet, ultra short back, good tail & beautiful coat. Would like her truer behind moving but her many overall qualities won her the class. Very strong contender in the challenge;

2 Steemson’s Bocans Playin With Fire, bigger type of bitch that handles well. Good head, excellent body, short back. A little short of coat & front could be straighter. Happy mover, full of her own importance in the ring;

3 Hands’ Crinan Celesta.
