WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 16

It was a great pleasure to be invited to judge at my local show. Although entries are down I was lucky enough to have a great many quality dogs. Overall, very pleased with bites, fronts and tail sets. No sign of any skin irritation.

MPD (1.0)

1. Thomson's Ashgate Ayton, strong 8 month old, good head and bite, straight front. Well placed shoulder. Very sound on the move. In excellent coat.

PD (1.0)

1. Veen's Bellevue Thunder Bolt, outstanding 10 month old who must have a great future. Strong masculine head with excellent bite, straight front, lovely neck and shoulders, level topline and short coupled. Terrific on the move with that "look at me" attitude which is so important. Presented in a harsh white jacket. Alone in this class but when it came to the subsequent challenges his obvious quality won him the RCC and then BP.

JD (2.1)

1. Macbean's Pryorvale Summer Knight, 16 month old masculine dog with a good head and bite. Well constructed allowing free movement. Feel he needs more time to mature and reach his full potential.

PGD (2.0)

1. Cooper's Brorastar Wanna Be Your Man, smart male in excellent harsh coat. Pleasing head with good bite, well placed shoulder and good back end. Sound on the move.

2. Bradbury's Gelmoore Midwinter Magic at Fourastay, masculine dog with a good head and presented with a harsh coat. Preferred 1 for size.

LD (4.0)

1. Lilley & Milling's Lilmill Nosey Parker. Really liked this dog. Very nice to go over with super head and bite, well constructed and presented in good coat. Moves with drive. Deserves to do well in future.

2. Gillott & Carlin's Lizandycris Line Me Up, another nice dog with good head, neck and shoulders. Pleasing harsh jacket. Preferred 1 for size.

3. Bartley's Atelib Playing The Star.

OD (5.0)

Great class of quality dogs.

1. West's Ch DK Ch Tomlyndon Eager Ernest, having watched him from ringside throughout his career I was pleased to see him here today. As soon as you get your hands on him it becomes obvious why he is so successful. If his owner had the time and the inclination he could do the breed a great service by taking him to breed seminars so that the candidates could have the opportunity to go over a dog that fits the standard to perfection. In addition, he's a great showman who always gives his best in the ring. A worthy winner of the CC. He had to give way to the bitch for BOB but as she's his daughter it keeps it in the family!

2. Veen's The Dasing Devil's Busybody, eye catching dog with a lovely outline when stacked. Loved his head, super front, neck and shoulder. Short coupled with a strong back end. Moves really well. To be picky, would prefer less furnishings.

3. Fryer's Int Ch Hopecharm Prince Harry.

VD - No entries

MPB (5.2)

1. Gillott & Carlin's Lizandycris Maggie May, mature 8 month old. Good head, well constructed and sound on the move. Presented in good harsh coat.

2. Dale's Lynnsto On Point, just turned 6 months and a strong contender for winner of the cute factor. Prettiest of heads and everything in place for the future. Moved with confidence. Just hope she grows on.

3. Bradbury's Lizandycris Misschieves at Fourastay.

PB (1.1)

JB (4.1)

1. Macbean's Pryorvale Summer Breeze, litter sister to JD with similar attributes but she has the edge over him at present when it comes to maturity. Look forward to watching them both in the future.

2. Harper's Westigo Flirty Gertie, same age as 1 and a close decision today. Well constructed and sound on the move. Not quite so mature as 1.

3. Dale's Lynnsto Grace And Favour.

PGB (2.0)

1. Cooper's Brorastar Love Me Do, stylish bitch, liked her a lot. Feminine head, good neck and shoulders, short coupled and sound on the move. Presented well with a harsh coat.

2. Thomson's Dylandougie Ayr To Ashgate, another nice bitch, close up to 1 in every way but 1 was in better coat.

LB (6.1)

1. Fryer's Pride And Precious Sweet White Angel By Hopecharm, headed a strong class with some top quality bitches. Smashing compact bitch with a super head, straight front, good neck and shoulders, short coupled with a good back end. Moved well with tail on top. Free standing when stacked presenting a lovely outline. Hope she has success in future. Well deserved RCC.

2. Smith's Faymar Tartan Fling, another nice bitch, lovely feminine head, well made and sound on the move. Today 1 had the edge in the personality stakes.

3. Minett's Matheron Connex Again With Duskhunter.

OB (4.1)

1. Burns' Burneze Our Marnie, don't know what the secret might be but if these breeders could bottle it, they'd make a fortune! Only 13 months old but what a stunner. You can't take your eyes off her, so true to the standard with a lovely feminine head, compact body and presented in perfect condition. She is the ultimate showgirl, powering around the ring with such style and confidence. She has already won three CCs from puppy classes and it was a great pleasure to award the fourth which makes her a very worthy champion. Just topped her father for BOB. Delighted to watch her achieve second place in a strong group.

2. Jenning's Comdale Lovely Molly, very well constructed bitch with a good head, neck and shoulders. Beautifully presented but not quite so happy on the move today. Believe she has recently gained her title and this is well deserved.

3. Harper's Westigo Cheeky Girl.

VB (2.1)

1. Windram's Cochansa Dales Pride, 8 years old next month but not showing it. Good head and bite, presented in excellent coat, moved out well with tail on top.
