WEST HIGHLAND WHITE BOURNEMOUTH 11 Judge: Miss J Lanning WEST HIGHLAND WHITE BOURNEMOUTH 11 WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER One of our unspoilt breeds, which seems to have hardly changed over the years. I have never been against chalking in moderation, but several today, were just loaded up with chalk and powder, which does nothing to enhance the natural coat texture of the breed. Although entron the day. I found no real glaring faults. A few with small teeth. A breed not given to any exaggeration, and a pleasure to judge. VD (1) 1 Dingley's Ch Davot Chivalrous Chap JW. In great form for age. Moving and showing well. Credit to the breed. MPD (3) Dunne's Charosmack Changes Pace. Cobby, good head and eye, moving well. Promising. 2 Jennings' Comdale Gorgeous George. Not so forward can finish well. 3 Storey's Nossimp Written In The Stars. PD (2) 1 Fox's Hillsted Same Again. Good body, coat coming well. 2 Dingley's Davot Chevie Chaser. Moving out well. Shade long cast at present. JD (5,3) 1 Britten's Walk The Line Vom Deipen Brook To Krisma (Imp). Exciting young dog of merit. Type, balance, size, with the very best of coats. Has the making of a great dog. The future must be bright for this one. Res.CC. A close decision today for the ticket. 2 Squire's Kimgarwyn Arlo. Typical, with quality much to recommend, shade long cast. PGD (7,1 Mixed class. 1 Noyce's Maxula Name Of The Game. Sturdy, good quarters and coat. 2 Owen's Bournehaven Triple Target Sh CM. Close up, real quality dog, top line could have been better. 3 Pegg's Ambalasi Frisky Whiskey. Res Minett's Duskhunter For'n Connexion. LD (8) 1 Thomson's Ashgate McKenzie. Lovely size, compact, excellent mover, as one always expects from this kennel. 2 Gillott & Carlin's Lizandycris Out To Play. So much to like about this one. Top class. Close up. 3 Bezuidenhout's Lamanzie Crackerjack. Res Budge's Rozamie Icicle. OD (8,3) 1 Squire's Multi Ch Bellevue Spirit Catcher. Caught my eye immediately. So well balanced, grand size, correct top line, credit to the breed. CC & BOB. 2 Lewis's Ch Lynnsto Man About Town ShCM. Another a joy to judge. Grand dog, moving so well. This was the strongest class I judged today. Wonderful Westies on show. 3 Minett's Ch Duskhunter Dutch Courage JW. Res Purchon's Lindenka Sullivan. VB (1) 1 Roche's Kyntilly Justrite At Sanjoc. In excellent order, moving and showing well for age. MPB (3) 1 Jennings' Comdale Starr. Well balanced. Promising. 2 Thomson's Hillcloud Athena At Ashgate. Another promising puppy, but a real baby, has the essentials to finish well. 3 Fox's Comdale Miss January At Hillsted. Res Storey Nossimp Only Girl In Command. PB (4,2) 1 Carlin, Gillott & Dunne's Lizandycris Ruby Tuesday To Charosmack TAF. Cobby, good coat and tail set, moving and showing well. 2 Gillott & Carlin's Lizandycris Ready To RockJust needs to settle, and will do well. JB (6,1) 1 Cooper's Brorastar Words Of Love. Smart, well balanced, with good coat. Moving out well. 2 Thomson's Ashgate Moonsie. Like her for type and quality, just needs to firm in movement. 3 Davison's Braxquin Beginning A Dream. Res Sweetzer's Bellevue Wild At Heart. GB (1) 1 Windram's Cassara Princess. Well ribbed body, much to like, coat needs to harden. PGB (7) 1 Squire's Bellevue Party Spirit. Smart, so well balanced. High class. 2 Filmore's Karagem Lunar Skye. Close up for type and balance. Coat could be harsher. Harper's Westigo Precious Spirit Res Pegg's Bellevue Dream Spirit. LB (9,4) 1 Steemson's Bocans Playin With Fire. High class, so well balanced correct coat moving well.C.C. 2 Squire's Bellevue Dream Girl. Close up, same excellent quality. Great bitches out today. 3 Cooper's Brorastar Ain't She Sweet. OB (8,4) 1 Steemson's Bocans Fancy That. So very good. Sister to Limit winner. I hear from the bitch I gave B.O.B. to last time I judged, at Leeds and went on to win the group that day. 2 Fox's Hillsted Sweet Jazzmine. Close up. Like open dog, competition of the highest. 3 Morton's Charosmack Crystal Secret At Swifdon. Res Gallop's Maedhlyn Summer Love. This is a breed, where the top winners were of the highest level, and certainly could change places on another day. A real pleasure to judge this breed. Jean Lanning |
