WEST HIGHLAND WHITE BOURNEMOUTH 09 Judge: Mrs R Dunne WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 09 West Highland White Terriers Thanks to the exhibitors for their support over the bad ring issues which had to be dealt with as the outside ring was more like a beach. Dogs & exhibitors coped well as our wet weather tent was a very small ring indeed. The Highlander may be small but he can certainly move out with the best of them. I felt the quality of both dogs & bitches to be of a very high standard. Unfortunately some had to go without cards or were further down the line; there were some classes where many of the main winners deserved a first. I felt the breed to be in good order, let’s hope we can keep it that way. MPD (2,1a) 1 Owen’s Egremont Musketeer, confident on the move, although on his own a worthy 1, good head & expression, well laid shoulder, well angulated, good coat, well presented, a puppy with a good future. PD (5,3) 1 Purchon’s Lindenka Sullivan, at the top end of the puppy class, up to size, nevertheless a lovely puppy, beautiful head & expression, well laid shoulder, short loin, correct angulation giving him the drive from behind which was effortless, very different to go over than he seems when stacked, a top drawer dog; 2 Britten’s Krisma Slapdash, lovely puppy, well balanced, correct head & expression, good in shoulder, short loin, tail on top. Just not as settled on the move as 1, but yet for the top drawer. Well presented with a good coat. JD (2) 1 Dale’s Lynsto Barclaycard, this dog I have liked all season & he did not disappoint me in any way, lovely to go over, good head & expression, correct mouth, everything in the right place, moved well, beautiful coat, excellent presentation, one to watch; 2 Thomson’s Ashgate Mckenzie, 1 had the edge on this occasion, but this dog is lovely to go over. Nothing to dislike about him, strong honest dog, all the attributes to take him far, excellent coat, I am sure they will change places at times. GD (1) A. PGD (8,1) 1 Gaydon’s Gilbri Williwontee, very showy dog, everything in the right place, lovely shoulder, correct length of neck, deep chest, short loin, strong quarters, well muscled, tail on top, held himself together on the move, loved his attitude, beautiful presentation as always from this kennel, will watch his future with interest, its sure to be a good one; 2 Smith’s Lorbri Sweet Talking Guy, have liked him from ringside, well proportioned dog, super outline, held himself together on the move. Just not as well boned as 1. Has all the above & sure to do well in the future; 3 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandychris Pick Of The Pack. LD (7,1) 1 Gordon’s Lamsmore Fitzwritten, I gave this dog BP last time I judged & was not disappointed with how he has come on, a true WHWT, strong solid dog, well balanced, beautiful head giving him a wonderful expression, good mouth, deep chest, well laid shoulder, correct length of neck, well muscled quarters & 2nd thigh, tail on top, the best coat, wonderful in texture & very white, presentation as always was spot on. CC; 2 Thomson’s Ashgate US Patriot, I have seen come on so well, good in shoulder, short loin, well angulated, good bone, moved out well covering the ground at an even pace, licked him very much, correct coat, well presented, will do well & finish his title I am sure; 3 Dale’s Lynnsto Stand And Deliver. OD (5,1) 1 Abbey’s Kristajen Know It All, this dog certainly deserves to be made up & am sure his day will come, lovely to go over, everything in the right place, well boned, lovely head & expression, moves with ease covering the ground as he should, good coat, handled well, strong honest dog. Didn’t quite have the edge he needed on this occasion. RCC; 2 Griffith’s Ch Karamynd Play The Game, a top winner & can see why, a very worthy ch, beautiful neck & shoulder, love his head, very short coupled, excellent muscletone. Not as settled on the move as 1. A hard decision, he was certainly no disappointment; 3 Mellor’s Ch Bellview Caught In The Act at Jillso. MPB (6, 1) What a lovely class of both minor puppies & puppies, they all deserved a first for one reason or another, it’s a shame I only had one & if these bitches are our future then we are on the right track. 1 Jennings’ A Real Deal at Comdale, lovely puppy, have liked her since she came out, super head & expression, very balanced for her age, tail on top & when settled moves with ease & covers the ground well, beautiful presentation from this kennel; 2 Ash’s Hillcloud Drizzle, what a madam, has that wonderful expression that tells you I am going to do what I want, top class puppy. All the attributes of 1, just not as mature & a little unsettled on the move. Well presented, will certainly watch these two with interest; 3 Dingley’s Davot Chance To Wander. PB (9) 1 Ash’s Hillcloud Cirrus Sky, super bitch, good head & expression, well laid shoulder, short coupled, took it all in her stride, lovely for size, really took my eye, very bright future ahead of her. BP; 2 Squire’s Kimgarwyn Bramble, have liked this bitch since she came into the ring, wonderful shoulders, true front, short coupled, well angulated. Not as settled on the move as 1, pulling away a lot which lost her the class. Will watch with interest; 3 Macbean’s Pryorvale My Cherie Amour. JB (6) 1 Gaydon’s Town Flirt at Gilbri, this bitch caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring, excellent head & expression, super outline, not pulled into shape in any way, level topline, clean shoulder, correct angulation, am sure she will reach her title in the not too distant future, a truly lovely bitch to go over, covers the ground with ease, a real showgirl. RCC; 2 Fox’s Hillstead Sweet Jasmine, an honest bitch with everything she should have, good mouth, correct head & expression, short loin, showed well, moving true, liked her very much; 3 Sizmore’s Lynnsto Symphony at Lamsmore. GB (3,2) 1 Chambers’ Circinus Winning Ambition, good in head & expression, deep chest, well muscled, moved & showed well, although on her own, she used the ring well. PGB (8,1) 1 Dingley’s Davot Chi Ki, have always liked this bitch, beautiful head, correct mouth, good length of neck, well laid shoulder, good strong quarters, tail on top, was really on form, she used all the ring, her forward extension from her super shoulder placement was a pleasure to see, super presentation as always, considered her strongly for RCC; 2 Smith’s Lorbri Mowtown Classic, liked this bitch very much, super outline & keeps it on the move, lovely to go over, all the attributes of 1. Shoulders not quite as good as 1 & could do with more width across the loin, but she is a lovely bitch; 3 Sweetzer’s Ambalasi Full Of Ambition. LB (13,3) 1 West’s Tomlyndon Look Of Love, this bitch is a favourite of mine & in my opinion has been overlooked many times, a beautiful dog, super in head, correct scissor bite, well laid shoulders, level topline, very strong quarters that are well muscled as they should be, excellent angulation without being overdone, all this giving her the reach & drive to cover the ground effortlessly, beautifully presented, really showing herself off, handled to perfection, couldn’t fault her in any way. CC & BOB; 2 Hughes’ Brychdyn Kite Mark, another favourite, has all the attributes of 1, well made bitch, lovely head & expression, short coupled, well angulated, level topline keeping it on the move. Just not moving with the determination of 1. Just gained her title & it is certainly well deserved; 3 Kabel’s As Mama Said to Comdale. OB (9,2) 1 Dale’s Lynnsto Ultra Violet, well proportioned bitch, lovely head, correct bite, good length of neck, well laid shoulders, level topline & tail on top, covers the ground with ease, a bitch I like very much, should reach top honours, her day will come, excellent presentation as always from this kennel; 2 Abbey’s Krisajen Knows What’s What, very strong bitch, super head, good bone, well made quarters, hocks well under, moved with drive, good textured coat, well presented, liked her very much; 3 Kabel’s Krisma Roll The Dice for Llovall.
