WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BORDER UNION 13

West Highland White Terriers

The small wet weather ring was quite something to contend with, at times making assessment of movement hard. They say never mind the quantity it is quality that counts & I certainly had good quality dogs to go over. Some furnishings were over exaggerated especially on heads & flapping fur on front legs which made the dogs look wide when on the move.

MPD (2)

1 Purcheon's Lindenka Frazer, well balanced 7 months puppy dog, quite raw looking standing in his vest & pants. Good head with correct ear placement, large teeth, good reach of neck running into well placed shoulders, level topline with tail bang on top which he showed off well when free standing, moved with drive. BP;

2 Bartley's Davot Chief Whip, another nice puppy, just 6 months, I was splitting hairs but I preferred 1's ear placement.

PD (3)

1 Pearson's Winoski Man Friday, very smart 11 months puppy, good neck, head & shoulders, level topline, harsh white jacket, moved well;

2 Bartley's Yushama Shooting Star, free standing well balanced puppy, good hocks, held his tail well, moved well;

3 Fisher's Bobo Whiskey.

JD & ND (0).

PGD (6)

1 Pucheon's Lindenka Donovan, well boned free standing dog, straight front, strong head & muzzle, good reach of neck into good layback of shoulder, level topline kept while on the move

2 Ladham's Rudd Jurasprite Caimbeul, another nice dog, cobbier than 1 but well balanced. In very heavy coat with lots of flapping fur on front legs while on the move distracted from his movement;

3 Stock's Lindenka Baxter.

LD (5)

1 Jennings' Comdale Johnny Boy, super, smart well balanced dog, has a lot going for him, good strong masculine head, large teeth, correct ear placement, good shoulder placement running into a level topline, super hocks, harsh white jacket, moved well fore & aft, presented well. RCC;

2 Jenkinson's Highcross Will He Be Charmed, this dog pushed hard for 1st place, almost the same attributes as 1, lost out on movement;

3 Hayton's Pedrohay Roberto.

OD (5)

1 Jenkins' Ir Ch Havasu Hugo Boss, what a stunning dog, handled & presented to perfection, has it all, strong masculine head, good shoulders, level topline, tail bang on top with plenty behind, good bend of stifle, super hocks, moved out with drive. CC, his second, I am sure the third will not be long in coming;

2 Edmondson's Ch Pepabbey Prank, another fabulous dog, all that has been said about him is true. Unfortunately he lived up to his name & he just would not move;

3 West's Tomlyndon Spoilt Rotten.

MPB (0).

PB (1)

1 Hunt's Kellethrigg Lucky Charm, 9 months well boned puppy bitch, lovely feminine head, good layback of shoulder & level top, tail set well on. Just not settled on the move.

JB (4)

1 Lancaster's Clanestar Cloud Chaser, never disappointed when going over dogs from this affix. Very sound well balanced feminine bitch, good reach of neck, level topline, super hocks, good bend of stifle, looked a picture standing & on the move;

2 Jenkins' Highcross Charmer, another nice feminine bitch but did not carry her tail as well as 1;

3 Tullis' Drumsheugh Jewel Of The Nile.

NB (1)

1 D Jewel Of The Nile, well up to size but well balanced, moved well.

PGB (6)

1 Crockett's Markstown Tail Her Maid, very smart feminine bitch, real varmity expression, correct ear placement, lovely straight front, shoulders correct & running into a level topline which she kept when driving around the ring;

2 Woodward's Fernsunrise Forget Me Not, this bitch ran a close challenge. I preferred the head & movement on 1;

3 Stock's Lindenka Apple Charlotte.

LB (6)

1 Edmonson's Pepabby Pirouette, lovely sound feminine bitch, good reach of neck, short back, tail bang on top, good bend of stifle, moved with drive fore & aft, handled & presented well. RCC;

2 Smith's Lingbeck Playing The Lady, unlucky to meet 1, same attributes, just preferred tailset & hocks on 1. A pleasure to go over, well presented;

3 Hayton's Pedrohay Silver Magnolia.

OB (8)

1 Smith's Ch Faymar Fine Romance, just one fabulous bitch, a credit to the breed, everything that has been written & said I rubber stamp it. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to go over her. CC & BOB;

2 Lehtonen & Hotanen's Who’s Hot And Who’s Cold, another nice bitch, lovely head, good shoulders, level topline, harsh white jacket, moved well;

3 Jennings' Comdale Star.
