WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BORDER UNION 11

West Highland White Terriers

My principal requirement is sound construction leading to good movement. I hope my main winners displayed this plus that extra something that catches the eye.

PD (7)

1 Britten’s Walk The Line vom Deipen Brook, cracking 11 months, strong, masculine head with excellent mouth, straight front, lovely neck & shoulders, short coupled with plenty behind tail. Held topline while moving with drive & confidence, to avoid repeating myself, I won’t keep mentioning tails but for me it’s essential that they are carried well when moving. In good coat & well presented, a real prospect. BP;

2 Kabel & Bouwhuis’ Llovall A King Of Hearts, only 6 months but quite mature. Pleasing head, straight front, good neck & shoulders, moved well when settled. Excellent outline when stacked;

3 Dingley’s Davot Chevie Chaser.

JD (3)

1 West’s Tomlyndon Spoilt Rotten, now 17 months & really coming on well. Masculine head, good neck & well laid shoulders, sound on the move & a real showman. One to watch, should have a successful career;

2 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandycris Devlin Disguise, 14 months with similar attributes to 1. Pleasing outline stacked & on the move. Not quite the showmanship of 1;

3 Squire’s Kimgarwyn Arlo.

ND (1)

1 Forbes’ Karensbrae Independence, masculine head, straight front & moved happily. Good harsh coat but needs a little more attention, very well handled.

GD (2)

1 Jenkinson’s Highcross Willie Be Charmed, really good strong head, reasonable neck & shoulders. Pleasing outline when stacked & on the move, good harsh coat;

2 K Independence.

PGD (5)

1 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandycris Out To Play, top quality in all departments, lovely to go over. Well balenced & angulated, well presented in good coat, sound on the move;

2 Soar’s Sonjay Fast Forward, very similar to 1, same comments apply, just preferred movement of 1;

3 Taylor’s Flassendale Fairlie.

LD (7)

1 Edmondson’s Pepabby Prank, you could use him at seminars as an example of excellent construction. In addition, he has a handsome head with a good mouth & shows really well, not quite the finish of the ticket winners but I’m sure his turn will come very soon;

2 Purchon’s Lindenka Sullivan, close up to 1, strong masculine head, straight front & excellent neck & shoulders. Good outline stacked & on the move;

3 Ash’s Hillcloud Blizzard.

OD (6)

1 Griffiths’ Ch/Int Ch Karamynd Play The Game, judged him twice as a youngster & gave him top place on both occasions, now in his prime. He typifies everything I like & look for in the breed, in addition, he has that star quality that draws the eye at all times. One of the best & for me, still the one to beat. CC & BOB;

2 Lewis’ Lynnsto Man About Town, what a class this was, between entry & show he has gained his title & this is well deserved. Another eyecatcher when stacked & he doesn’t disappoint when you go over him. Excellent construction plus a masculine head with a super mouth, impeccable presentation completes the picture. RCC.

3 ASHGATE MCKENZIE (MRS S M THOMSON)

PB (7)

1 Gaydon’s Gilbri Royal Sapphire, exactly my type, just 9 months & a touch raw but think she has the potential for a long & successful show career. Pretty head, straight front & neck & shoulders to die for. Good backend, moves happily & with drive;

2 Thomson’s Ashgate Moonsie, very attractive 10 months, pleasing head, well constructed with excellent strong backend, so sound on the move. Personal preference drew me to 1 but this young lady should also do very well;

3 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandycris Ready To Rock.

JB (4)

1 Purchon’s Montrose by Lindenka, 17 months, most pleasing, feminine head. Very well constructed & excellent on the move, in good coat, look forward to watching her progress;

2 Squire’s Kimgarwyn Opal, 17 months with a great deal of potential. Very good to go over, a little nervous when moving but did well when she settled;

3 Bradbury’s Petalam New Era.

NB (0).

GB (1)

1 Smith’s Lingbeck Playing The Lady, feminine head, in good harsh coat, moved well.

PGB (9)

1 Kabel’s Llovall And All That, caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring & drew me back throughout the class. Really cracking bitch that should do very well, a pleasure to go over & a real showgirl, just needs a little more time for furnishings to develop to complete the picture;

2 Bell’s Bellevue Full Of Spirit, as is often the case with PG, a class with different types to sort out. This was a bigger bitch but very well constructed & sound on the move, furnishings were in need of attention;

3 Tullis’ Drumsheugh White Mischief.

LB (8)

A class containing several quality bitches, I was spoilt for choice & in the end, showmanship & presentation decided the placings.

1 Griffith’s Karamynd Make A Splash, absolutely delightful bitch who I’ve admired recently from the ringside. Good neck & shoulders, ultra short coupled & a picture stacked & on the move. So feminine from head to tail & a real showgirl. RCC;

2 Dale’s Lynnsto Platinum, close up to 1 & a similar type, feminine head, good front, neck & shoulders. Pleasing outline stacked & on the move, in excellent coat & well presented;

3 Smith’s Faymar Fine Romance.

OB (2)

1 Gaydon’s Ch Bellevue Town Glirt at Gilbri, it’s all been said before but she really is an exceptional example of the breed. It was a pleasure to go over her as this confirms all that you see from ringside. So feminine & a beautiful outline stacked & on the move. CC;

2 Steemson’s Bocans Playing With Fire, different type but so well constructed, textbook front, neck & shoulders & as sound as a bell when moving.
