WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BLACKPOOL 13

West Highland White Terriers

No CCs on offer but I appreciated the entry of 19. Not at all bad for a Friday. We were blessed with the only day of decent weather. I can imagine what this breed would have looked like muddy puddles.

PD (1)

1 BP, Bartley's Davot Chief Whip, 6 months, up to size for age, masculine head, excellent pigmentation, standing a bit careless in front at times. Harsh jacket, good body, moved OK.

PGD (3)

1 BOB, Hughes' Brychdyn Diamond Geezer, comfortable winner, very good silhouette which he kept on the move, balanced head, clean neckline, deep chest, compact body, harsh white jacket, very well presented, confident mover, showed himself off so well, should have a bright future;

2 Bartley's Yushama Shooting Star, litter brother to PD winner, needs to drop in body as presently he looks a bit leggy. Good head, bone, legs & feet, happy showman, plenty of drive on the move.

LD (3)

1 West's Tomlyndon Power Of Love, short back, good bone & body, typical head, dark eyes, well set tail, showy & focused, handled to advantage, well coated.

OD (2)

1 RBD, Jenkinson's Highcross Willie Be Charmed, superb coat texture, no mistaking him for anything but a positive male in head & general outlook, good attitude & spirit, firm body, good neckline, went well, steady showman, up to size.

PB (1)

1 Finney & Rogers' Primrose Snowflake, 11 months, dark expressive eyes, good body. Coat rather soft & should like to see her move & show with a bit more animation. Could have a higher tailset.

PGB (1)

1 RBB, Jenkinson's Highcross Charmer, half sister to RBD & similar with a good jacket, quality head, dark eyes, good reach of neck, sturdy body, well conditioned, moved well once she found her rhythm;

2 Andrews' Rupann Spring Surprise, feminine youngster, clean coat, good body, sympathetically handled. Unfortunately undershot, failed in front movement, shade long cast.

LB (3)

1 Lancaster's Clanestar Cloud Chaser, typy bitch with good coat, feminine head, excellent pigment, deep chest, good bone & feet. Slightly reluctant in showmanship which reflected in her movement;

2 Smith's Lingbeck Leading Lady, 61/2 years, marvellous snow white harsh jacket, just looked a little matronly in outline. Very well presented, good bone, broad strong loin, steady performer.

OB (3)

1 BB, Lehtonen & Hotanen's Int/Fin/Sw/Est Ch Who's Hot And Who's Cold, gassy showgirl, eager to go, animated & high spirited on the move, attractive head, keen expression, clean neckline, good body & ribcage, well coated, shown to best advantage, topline not as good as BOB;

2 Smith's Lingbeck Playing The Lady, excellent coat texture, well bodied, pleasing head, good bone, well handled & presented; 3 Andrews' Kellethrigg Christmas Rose at Rupann.
