WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BLACKPOOL 11

West Highland White Terriers

V (2)

1 Dingley’s Ch Davot Chivalrous Chap, now 10 years & perhaps not so light footed as he once was but he has retained his style & air of being a classy item. Loved his head, a real chrysanthemum, correct stop, lovely dark eyes still bright in expression & he holds himself so well, really good ribs, they carry well back. His backline is level & the tail well set. In firm condition & he has such a harsh jacket;

2 Andrews’ Rupann Silver Charm as feminine as 1 is masculine. Sweet head & expression, enough neck, good outline & tailset, delightful character as she grumbled all the time she was being handled on the table. Showed a clean pair of heels on the move.

PD (2)

1 Dingley’s Davot Chevie Chaser, a son of the VD winner & clearly a chip of the old block. Very advanced in all respects, big ribs, good forechest, firm in back, well set tail & such good let down in hocks which he used well in profile action. In profuse coat he stacks with style. BP;

2 Storey’s Nossimp Written In The Stars, a sweet baby of just 6 months but for me will need to grow on considerably & body up if he is to make the grade. I would prefer heavier weighted bone. On the plus side he has a good outline with a decent neck, shortish back & well set tail. Delightful in personality & thoroughly enjoyed his outing.

PGD (5)

1 Carlion & Gillott’s Lizandychris Devlin, first of several from this kennel which appealed. I liked his size, substance, strength in ribcage & loin, firm back & well muscled thighs. Was steady in profile action but played up a bit in front;

2 Taylor’s Flassendale Fairlie I thought so similar to 1 in many aspects. Definitely male in head, eye & expression, ample reach of neck, well boned with good feet & in excellent jacket, I felt he had not quite the let down in hock of 1 which reflected in his having less drive in side action. Two which will change places frequently;

3 Forbes’ Karensbrae Independence.

LD (3)

1 Jenkinson’s Highcross Willie Be Charmed, very typy & certainly compact assisted by his well developed ribcage, shortish loin & that reach of neck. Strong doggy head, excellent mouth, stop & eyes & he’s so well pigmented. His coat is harsh & dense & stacked his outline appeals. Moved out with a free stride. RBD;

2 McLoughlin’s Ley Hey Living Legend, although he is short backed & fairly compact, I felt 1 had the bigger width in rib behind the wither. Scores in reach of neck, head carriage & having such a good tail, hindquarters handle well as he is well muscled & has well let down, firm hocks;

3 Pearson’s Winoski Mr Chips.

OD (1)

1 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandychris Out To Play, an all round thoroughly good example of the breed, liked everything about him, his size, shape, that reach of neck, the well muscled hindquarters & his driving side action. His head is a delight, the stop well defined & he has good jaw width. Once into his stride he showed power & purpose. BD & BOB.

PB (4)

1 Cooper’s Brorastar Words of Love, immaculate in coat presentation & once stacked she does take the eye. No doubting her sex, pretty head neat ears & good eyes. Well arched neck, ample depth of rib & her tail is so well set. Just plays up a little on the move but shows glimpses of a balanced stride;

2 Carlin & Gllott’s Lizandycris Ready To Rock, I was charmed by this one when stacked & at rest but she is such a fidget & can make herself look long cast. Delightful head, good eyes & neat ears, sufficient length of neck & her ribs carry well back. When back in full jacket will look even better;

3 Kinnaird’s Gilbri Ruby Tuesday at Peppleknowe.

PGB (4)

1 Smith’s Lingbeck Playing The Lady, large head, excellent coat, certainly very compact in outline with a reachy neck & good tailset. She is well muscled & her side action is balanced. Could be tighter in front action which told against her later;

2 Pearson’s Winoski Truly Unruly, a little on the small side for me but undeniably feminine with a particularly good eye. Jacket well prepared & her enthusiasm on the move made me smile, even if it made her a little erratic;

3 Andrews’ Kellethrig Christmas Rose at Rupann.

LB (2)

1 Cooper’s Brorastar Ain’t She Sweet, liked her heaps with that pretty headpiece, the darkest of eyes which are well set, stop well defined & her mouth correct. Such a compact outline enhanced by that reach of neck, good presentation & her keen, smooth striding action. BB;

2 Smith’s Lingbeck Leading Lady, impressive when stacked, beautiful ribcage, ample neck, delightful head type with good eyes & ears. Her side action was good but she was playing up in front when coming towards me. RBB.

OB (2)

1 Kinnaird’s Pepperknowe Party Popper, nice for size, reach of neck & shape, also being well ribbed & with a plentiful jacket. Played her handler up on the move, dancing around & simply doing her own thing. But she was loving it.
