West Highland White Terriers

PD (4)

1 Jennings’ Comdale Gorgeous George, certainly lives up to his name. Well made head. Broad jaw, scissor bite, good reach of neck running in to well laid back shoulders, good front & hindquarters. Short coupled. Really covered the ground on the move. A puppy full of mischief with personality plus. BP & PG1;

2 Corri’s Inverglen Lord Of The Manor, handsome puppy that I liked a lot strong head, correct bite, ample reach of neck running in to well laid back shoulders, short back strong hindquarters, really good coat. Presented a very nice picture both standing & on the move;

3 Fleming’s Loughallen Pause For Clause.

PGD (3)

1 Davidson’s Antonia Apple Pie at Braxquin, nicely presented well made dog, strong head with very neat ears, correct bite, appropriate reach of neck running into well laid back shoulders, deep chest, short coupled, a well muscled dog shown in the correct length of coat, well handled & presented;

2 Burns’ Burneze Dizzee Rascal, same comments apply to this dog, beautifully presented as always from this kennel, just did not want to perform which was a shame;

3 Taylor’s Birkfell Second Chance.

LD (3)

1 Jenkins’ Havasu Hugo Boss, I really liked this eyecatching dog, good head proportions, neat ears used all the time, ample reach of neck, well laid back shoulders, deep ribs, short level back, well set tail, very strong quarters, beautifully presented & handled. He really used the space available to him. RCC;

2 Taylor’s Flassendale Fairlie, very nice dog with a good head & correct bite, muscular neck, compact body, very good quarters. Moved with drive;

3 McLoughlin’s Ley Hey Living Legend.

OD (9)

What a class of very fine Westies. All were an absolute credit to the breed.

1 Edmondson’s Ch Pepabby Prank, truly honest Westie, nothing exaggerated with this dog. Wonderful head with a broad jaw, the correct bite & large teeth as required in the breed Standard, I loved his expression. Good reach of neck, well laid back shoulders, short back, deep ribs, really good feet & legs, tail bang on top at all times, harsh double coat. He looked a picture both on the move & standing. CC & BOB;

2 Deipenbrock’s Int Ch Here I Am vom Deipenbrook, a dog I have admired in the past. Strong head, good reach of neck, strong body. Really covered the ground on the move. Well presented;

3 Crockett’s Dan/Ir/Int Ch Havasu High Tech.

PB (3)

1 Jennings’ Comdale Starr, a real poppet, pretty head with the darkest of eyes, broad jaw with the correct scissor bite, ample reach of neck, clean well laid back shoulders, strong body & quarters, tail on top. Gave way to her brother in the challenge due to his added exuberance;

2 Burns’ Burneze Plan Bea, different type to 1. Bigger puppy but well enough made. The same comments apply, just preferred look & type of 1.

JB (3)

1 Thomson’s Ashgate Moonsie, a really pretty youngster, on sparkling form, very good head & the neatest of ears, lovely expression, good reach of neck, well laid back shoulders running into a short level back, really good front & well angulated hindquarters. Moved with drive;

2 Cooper’s Broadstar Words Of Love, bigger than 1. Good head & bite, neat ears, really good coat. Shoulders OK, slightly longer cast but still a very nice bitch. Very well presented;

3 Chambers’ Sprig O’White Heather Circinus.

PGB (2)

1 Davidson’s Braxquin Beginning A Dream, pretty little bitch, very good head & bite, neat ears, would have liked a better lay back of shoulder but still a quality bitch. Level topline held on the move, profuse coat of good quality, well presented, very easy winner of this class;

2 Flanagan’s Markstown Moonlight Dancer, nothing wrong with this little bitch under all that coat. It was impossible to see her shape. The owner really needs some help with presentation & handling to continue to show at this level.

LB (4)

1 Cooper’s Broadstar Ain’t She Sweet, a bitch with a great head, neat ears which she used, good reach of neck, shoulders OK, short coupled, level topline, well set on tail, strong quarters, a really good mover;

2 Burns’ Burneze Truly Talented, slightly bigger bitch of a good type. Decent head, very good bite, well placed shoulders, short back, well muscled, presented to perfection, moved well;

3 Johnston’s Glenveagh Bewitching Buffy.

OB (7)

1 Corri’s Inverglen Sophie, typy bitch that I have admired from the ringside. I was not disappointed going over her. Very good head, strong but still feminine, correct bite. Correct reach of neck & lay back. Level topline kept on the move. Strong backend with muscular hindquarters enabled her to move with drive, shown in the correct length of coat. CC, her third;

2 Smith’s Faymar Fine Romance, this is a bitch I like a lot & I would have loved to have 2 CC’s, today she had to make do with the RCC. A really pretty bitch, very nice head & expression, correct reach of neck & well laid back shoulders, level topline kept on the move, tail well set on, very good quarters, coat in tip-top condition. Gave way to the slightly more mature lady;

3 Jenkins’ Ir Ch Markstown Maid In Secret.
