WEST HIGHLAND WHITE BATH 17 Judge: Mr F R Rundle BEST OF BREED : 1724 COLEY Mrs J Karamynd So What At Kingsview WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BATH 17 West Highland White Terriers As I have not judged this breed for some time it gave me great pleasure to go over some wonderful dogs, I take this opportunity to thank the exhibitors & the Westie world for their support. Also I would like to thank the officers & committee of Bath Ch show for this assignment. MPD & PD (0). JD (3) 1 Britten’s Krisma Jump Start, very smart young dog, excellent head, neck & shoulders, good topline, tail well set, moved correctly fore & aft; 2 Jennings’ Comdale That’s Andy, nice head, neck flowing into good shoulders, lovely straight front, shortest of backs, tail on top, good movement; 3 Owen’s Frisbeck Guitar Man. PGD (1) 1 Squire’s The Dashing Devil’s Macho Man, correct proportioned head with good mouth, nice neck with good slope in shoulders, well bodied, moved & showed well. LD (5,3a) 1 Thomson’s Fernsunrise Fairplay to Ashgate, congratulations to both owner & handler for presenting this dog in immaculate condition, best of heads, good bite, correct forehand, level topline, correct tail carriage with strong rearquarters, pleased to award him the CC. Should make up easily; 2 Gale’s Bocans Bolt To Belleview, correct shaped head, spoilt by the trimming. Good eye & ears, good neck & shoulders, nice body, unfortunate to meet 1 on the day. OD (4) 1 Foster’s Hillstead Masquerade at Thozow, head of correct proportions with good dentition, lovely small ears, good topline & front, very well presented. RCC; 2 Noyce’s Armadales Son Of A Gun at Maxula, well presented, harsh white coat, typical head & expression, well balanced throughout, moved & showed well; 3 Lilley & Milling’s Lilmill Nosey Parker. MPB (5,1) 1 Fryer’s Hopecharm Bit Of Fruitcake, a star for the future, outgoing little lady with all the essentials of the breed standard, good movement, will watch her progress in the future. BP; 2 Jenning’s Celebration Devil To Disguise at Comdale, just 6 months of age, in excellent order, moved & showed well; 3 Bryant’s Swifden Sweet Temptation at Camame. PB (0). JB (4,1) 1 Foster’s Thozow Edelweiss, very well presented youngster, good head, level topline, moved well; 2 Dale’s Lynnsto Evelyn All, very short coupled bitch with the best of fronts, good coat, correct tail carriage, moved well; 3 Bryant’s Petalem Symbolic at Camame. NB (3) 1 Griffiths’ Karamynd May Queen, just out of puppy, lovely shaped head, in good white coat, moved around the ring with ease. RCC; 2 Berry’s Yoho Summer’s Dawn with Ashgate, well shaped head with good bite, A1 neck & shoulders, good topline, did not settle as well on the move as 1; 3 Morton’s Swifdon Shout Aloud. PGB (5) 1 Fryer’s Hopecharm Christmas Rose, well shaped head with good dark eyes, ears well placed with good dentition, lovely front assembly, held her topline well whilst on the move. Well presented; 2 Ash’s Hillcloud Ocean, good neck & shoulders, lovely straight front, coat in good condition, correct bodyweight, moved around the ring with ease; 3 Gale’s Bellevue Gossip Catcher. LB (0). OB (5,2) Three top class bitches, who could change places at any time. 1 Coley’s Karamynd So What at Kingsview, for me this bitch had just the extra sparkle on the day, excellent head, correctly placed teeth of a good size, best of neck, shoulders & topline, good angulation on the rear, tail well set with a dense white coat. Pleased to award her the CC & BOB; 2 Foster’s Thozow Forget Me Not, lovely showy bitch of correct type who pushed the winner hard; 3 Fox’s Hillsted Sweet Mystery. FRANCIS RUNDLE |
