WEST HIGHLAND WHITE BATH 13 Judge: Mr F Kane BEST OF BREED : 1787 SMITH Mrs V Ch Faymar Fine Romance WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE BATH 13 West Highland White Terriers My first time awarding CCs & I did enjoy the good entry of 76 dogs. MPD Difficult choice, two very different puppies. 1 Yushama Shooting Star, 8 months tall puppy, moved well with good topline. Head needs to fill out. Sound in movement. Ears can be neater; 2 Ambalasi Splash And Dash, I liked him for type & thought he would be my winner. 8 months, better head than 1 but too fat & this affected his movement, particularly in front. Compact body, good coat. Will do better when firmed up. PD 1 Bocans Backin Business, 11 months, short coupled, very good bodied, excellent coat, good skull & muzzle. Ears a little larger. Moved with confidence & good stride BP & PG1; 2 Bocans Risky Business, 11 months, smart dog, slightly larger coupled than 1. Skull needs time to finish. Better ears than 1 but I preferred eye of 1. Moved with spirit; 3 Olton Aye To Zed. PGD 1 Ashgate Us Appollo, full sized dog, well put together & moved well. I would prefer a little more depth of chest, ears a touch wide. Carried good topline. With full maturity will look more compact; 2 Tomlyndon Power Of Love, smaller dog, needs a little more substance to give him more masculinity. Good head & ears. Turns his feet out a little which shows in front movement; 3 Charmdautum Dazzle. LD 1 Llovall A King Of Hearts, compact, short backed, good head proportions, very good ribs & couplings, scored in ears & tailset. Excellent coat, topline & tail carriage. RCC; 2 Nossimp Written In The Stars, beautifully put together dog, moved well, very good coat texture & good quarters. Not quite as neat in ears as 1 but I liked him a lot; 3 Maxula Name Of The Game. OD 1 Ch Lynsto Man About Town, in lovely form, excellent body coat & movement, very good front & excellent correct rib, wonderful coat, accurate movement & good carriage. CC. Pressed hard for BOB; 2 Hillsted Same Again, lovely quality dog, appealed greatly in outline & head, full of spirit. Just not as accurate in front as 1 but still young & I expect he will mature into a top dog; 3 Ch Pepabby Prank. VD 1 Ch Ashgate Scots Progress, 10 years, wonderfully headed dog, full of type & still free & active on the move. His topline is a little slack now but scored decisively in head & ears; 2 Rozamie Icicle, 7 years, good coated & good moving dog, scored in topline. Not the head or ears of 1; 3 Antonia Apple Pie at Braxquin. MPB 1 Thozow Forget Me Not, 6 months, lovely head, short backed, moved well, good tailset, lovely coat for her age. Pressed hard for BP & while she was shorter than the PB, not yet as firm in topline or assured on the move. However will have better days; 2 Matheron For’n Affair with Duskhunter, 7 months, excellent neck, good coat. Just a little longer than 1 & not quite as firm in topline. I liked her length of leg, full of attitude, should come on well; 3 Yushama Forest Princess at Dojanfor. PB 1 Ecremont Seventh Heaven, 9 months, quality bitch of good outline, excellent movement & good topline & tail carriage. Head needs a little time to develop but good ears & eye. Just a touch long for perfect balance but scored in topline & movement to be BPB; 2 Peakstones Dalilah, 9 months, good headed bitch, at her first show & a little overawed but has good type & good rear action. A little wide in front. JB Good class for quality. 1 Gilbri Town Tease, 12 months, lovely quality & excellent movement. Coat just coming in well. Won this on her accuracy of movement & very good topline. Just needs maturity to go further; 2 Gilbri Uptown Girl, litter sister, a bigger type of bitch with more leg under her. Excellent head. More finished in coat than 1 but not quite as accurate in front. Am sure they will have many duels as there is little to choose between them; 3 Reifrandies Mirne. NB 1 Bellevue Daydream at Leodhas, beautiful type & quality, very good movement, good head & ear placement, in good coat. Should do well. PGB 1 Carthornastar Fleur by Ashgate, excellent headpiece, good proportions although she is a little over sprung in rib. Good coat & tail, carried herself well; 2 Brychdyn Carrie On Swifdon, quality bitch, short back & excellent tail. Not quite skull of 1 yet. Excellent coat. Needs to let down a little in rear yet. Very good movement, coat & carriage; 3 Lynsto That’ll Do Nicely at Braxquin. LB Good class with depth of quality. 1 Krisma Storm In A Teacup, beautifully headed , excellent proportions, bang on tailset & carriage, very good coat, moved freely & full of spirit. Pressed hard in the challenge; 2 Lingbeck Playing The Lady, very well made bitch who uses her construction on the move. Not the strength of head or the neat ears of 1 but very sound, short backed & in excellent coat; 3 Maxula Box Of Tricks. OB 1 Ch Faymar Fine Romance, beautiful bitch, very short yet retains freedom of action & excellent topline. Looked a picture & went with accuracy & spirit. CC & BOB; 2 Ch Comdale Miss January at Hillstead, beautiful bitch, great temperament & drive. Not quite as short as 1 but I was splitting hairs here. RCC. VB 1 Cassara Princess, 8 years, very typy, in good coat, good proportions & very good head. Pigment not at its best at the moment. Carried herself well. FRANK KANE |
