STAFFORDSHIRE BULL THREE COUNTIES 09 Judge/s:Mr J Ford
Staffordshire Bull Terriers MPD (7) 1 Watkin’s Kinswatstaff As If, b/br/w, nice Standard type, good head, eyes, ears, topline sound on the move, good straight front, moved & handled well; 2 Longley’s Emperorstaff Coronet Gold, fawn dog with all the right attributes & pushed 1 very close, good head & body, looked alert & shown & handled well; 3 Stoke’s Oxstoks Mister Boo. PD (7) Not much between these two, just prefer better stifle of1 1 Dewar’s Mintmar Just The Man, good Standard type, dark br/w, nice head, ears & bite, nice straight front, level topline kept on the move, stood like he demanded the class, worthy winner of nice puppies, shown & handled well; 2 Robinson & Hedges’ Leger We Stand United at Ramblix, br/w, has all the attributes for a nice show career, handled to perfection as always by his exhibitor; 3 Russell’s Russtaff Rough Diamond. JD (12) Very good class. Close decision. 1 Wall’s Golden Conquest, f/w, well up to size, nice head & ears, eye placement, bite & lovely straight front, level back on the move, nice brisket & lay of shoulder, hind end coming along nicely & moved out with drive, handled very well by his lady handler. BP, RCC & PG3; 2 Powell’s Ironbray’s Maximus Claudius, b/br, dog of equal merits & in good bloom, lovely head shape & make, moved out well & handler got the best from him, could change places anytime with 1; 3 Beaufoy’s Wyrefare The Governor. YD (11) Nice class. These two will change places many times. 1 Karlsson’s Valglo Enzo of Jewelstaff, dark br, nice shaped head with good eye placement, perfect bite, nice straight front with more to come, level topline standing & on the move, up on his toes, brisket of good drop, in lovely coat & fitness, showed throughout, hindend with nice strength & moved soundly, handled very well; 2 Pickett’s Valglo Singing The Blues, best blue on the circuit & for some time, strong head expected from this kennel, dark eyes & good ears, scissor bite, straight front, black nails, topline & brisket of the best. Just preferred better condition of 1; 3 Patterson’s Penshannel Wicked William. GD (4) 1 Woollett’s Ashstock Red Miller, nice Standard type red, close decision with 2. Nice type head, earset, eye & make up, good bite, straight front, good legs & feet, topline all in order, moved out soundly; 2 Corti’s Fergustaff My Mighty Mason, just off, splitting hairs, same attributes as 1. Moved & handled well; 3 Wedgewood’s Pottersway Crafty Potter. PGD (11) 1 Lawrenson’s Crossguns Tom Jones, br dog in lovely nick, strong well shaped head, good ear carriage, scissor bite, straight front, good boned legs & nice feet, level back, pristine condition, moved well & handled to perfection, will have a good future; 2 Lewis’ Charmonics Cockney Rebel, dark br, nice type, good head, body & topline, legs & feet good. Lost out to a dog in grand form. Worthy type & in good bloom; 3 Bradbury & Turton’s Da Vincis Code Breaker. LD (20) Very close decision. 1 Peacock’s Dringshaw Stoner, r/w, good Standard type, lovely head shape & make, nice placed ears, scissor bite, perfect front, up on his toes & straight pasterns, nice tight feet, level back on the move with good gait, pressed hard for RCC, shown & handled very well; 2 Jones & Whelan’s Maxta Hotshot, dark br who should have a good show career, first class head & make, ears of the best shape, perfect bite, straight front, alert & ready for action, topline of the best & quarters firm, handled & shown well; 3 Trow’s Brizeacks Fire In The Hole. OD (7) 1 Carter’s SA Ch Sylonsaphooka Bullet of Sivhan, red dog who was the star of the day, reminded me of a dog I owned in 1977, not a strong dog & not overdone in any way but in perfect balance & bang to Standard, nice head, perfect mouth, tight lipped, perfect straight front, tight feet, nice bone, topline of the best, quarters firm & toned, moved with drive & free flowing, could not deny him top honours, shown & handled to perfection. Shortlisted in final six. CC & BOB; 2 Stanways’ Ch Waystaff Strikes Back, different type to 1, stronger & more cobby but a worthy champion, as all the right attributes can say no more; 3 Coat’s Ch Bellerphon Bevin Boy. MPB (4) 1 Carter’s Seastaff Polar Star, lovely white with eyes black as coal, tiny rose ears, grand head shape & make, straight front, nicely boned & level topline, grand type who should do well, handled & shown well; 2 Gray’s Seastaff Sirius at Bullmaple, dark br/w, litter sister to 1, but of stronger make, good headed, dark eyes, nice ear carriage, scissor bite, all in order. Not much between these, should do well, shown & handled well; 3 McClement’s Podgy Pogle. PB (8) 1 Waters’ Ashstock Constallation, red bitch of quality & typy, good head, nicely placed ears, dark eye, strength through muzzle, good scissor bite, nice front & ample bone, level topline, quarters coming along nicely, shown & handled to perfection; 2 Norton’s Mintmar Look Again for Tikkurrilan, different type to 1 but a nice bitch in the making. Good head shape, ears, eye, bite all in order, good straight front, ample bone, nicely structured bitch who pushed 1 hard, shown & handled well; 3 Karlsson’s Jewelstaff Serenity. JB (11) Nice class. 1 Francis & Hillman’s Samtan Forget Me Not, dark br who I have admired for some time, grand headed, lovely earset, dark eye, strength throughout, perfect front & nice bone to legs, topline of the best, hind end coming along right lines. Lovely bitch who just needs a little more time for the finished article; 2 Powell’s Ironbrays Angel Of Faith, dark br, of equal stature, same attributes as 1, very worthy bitch who ran 1 very close. Shown & handled well; 3 Martin’s Lisa’s Lucky Charm at Alvis. YB (5) 1 Bouter-Feenstra’s Old Crossguns Dearbhail Diabhal, dark br, what a lovely bitch, grand head, good ears, eye placement, strong muzzle, good boned legs & drop of brisket, nice feet, level back, strong quarters, handled & shown very well, bitch who will do very well in the future; 2 Parr’s Parbeau Virtuso, dark br who ran 1 very close, strong headed with grand ears, eye placed well, strength through muzzle, good front, up on toes with straight top, hind end firm & shown to advantage; 3 Turner’s Trawden Snowball. GB (3) 1 Welsh’s Valglo Matilda for Staffwize, b/br/w, nice typy bitch in good condition, good head, bite, strength to muzzle, lovely front, up on pasterns & good feet, level back, carried on move & nice free flowing gait, strong quarters, handled well; 2 Allen & Robertson’s Firecraker at Estellastaff, red bitch who just lost out on 1’s better movement. Nice typy head shape, everything in order, nice bitch in the making;
PGB (14) 1 Manito’s Rotherstaff Indian Ink at Dynastaff, dark br, quality bitch who should make top honours, good strong head, lovely earset, dark eyes, strong muzzle, scissor bite, nice straight front & legs, well boned, topline of the best, in grand bloom with strong hams, shown very well, moved with drive from hindquarters, should reach the top. RCC; 2 Kerry’s Sirons Gift of Antroboss, not so many tiger brindles around today, had all the attributes from head to toe, can change places another day, a bitch to be proud of, shown & handled well; 3 Hyde’s Sedgebred Black Angel. LB (14) 1 Baxter’s Zakstaff Black Velvet, b/br who oozes quality & class, first class head, make & shape, tiny rose ears, darkest of eyes, strong muzzle & perfect bite, ample bone with lovely tight feet, up on pasterns & perfect topline on the move, quarters of the best, muscled up & firm to the touch, in pristine condition, demanded attention & got it, the only thing wrong, I didn’t like she was not mine, pleasure to judge. CC & should win many more; 2 Lowe & Hedges’ Ramblix Revisionist Khanspride, dark br who is on the same mould as 1, all the attributes are there to be seen so will not waffle on about them. Your day is not far away, handled & shown well; 3 Cockayne Luner Landing. OB (10) Lovely trio of bitches. 1 Robinson & Hedges’ Leger Photo Finish for Ramblix, b/br, very well balanced, should also go to the top, lovely head shape & make, nice earset & bite, strong through & nice structure, in very good bloom, topline of the best, firm quarters & shown to advantage; 2 Reaney & Jackson’s Rolenska Leading Lady of Saxonjax, b/br, ran 1 very close, not much to choose between them, bitch of balance, type & soundness who moved out well. Bit more time & will be there with the top brigade. Very honest, shown & handled well; 3 Bouter-Feenstra’s Ch Old Crossguns I Salute You. JEFF FORD
