STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE SOUTHERN COUNTIES 23

Thank you all for your entries and accepting my decisions in a sporting manner. I thoroughly enjoyed my judging and it was a pleasure to judge your dogs. I was very impressed by the quality of the entry, with considerable depth in most classes and some tough choices needing me to nit pick for my final placings. There were a number of dogs that could have easily change places on any given day. The majority of dogs were shown in fit, hard condition, with healthy shiny coats. Mouths were for the most part good, with only a couple of tight canines and reverse scissor bites. Nares were good and open. One thing that I think is worth keeping an eye on is short briskets, I found a couple in bitches that would benefit from more length there. That aside the quality of heads on a whole was great, with muzzles not too short. I was very pleased with my final line ups in both dogs and bitches. Congratulations to my main winners, it was pleasing to see a number of you place in your classes in the Terrier group later on in the day.

MPD (1)

1 Kalostaff Es Lo Que Es (Lloyd) Black Brindle. A promising puppy, everything as it should be for this stage of development. He has a good clean headpiece, of correct proportions and not overdone. He has lovely dark eyes and rose ears. Standing over a strong straight front with ample width and depth of forechest. He is nice and square and is well ribbed back, with ample spring of rib. His hindquarters are well angled and he carries a good topline on the move, moves well for a youngster. Good luck with him in the future.

PD (1)

1 Kamaristaffs Royal Rumour (Jones) Black Brindle. What a cracker of a puppy, he has everything you would possibly want for a dog of his age and so balanced. His headpiece is beautiful, clean lipped with correct muzzle to skull proportions, distinct stop and strong underjaw. Head framed by small rose ears and finished off with lovely dark eyes. His straight front is of good width, right down to his tight feet, that turn out a little. He has a good amount of forechest and a good lay of shoulder. His muscular rather short neck flows into his short back, he has a good spring of rib and is well ribbed back and brisket to elbow. He has muscular, well angled rear quarters and well set and carried a pump handle tail. Moved true and with discernible drive. He can come live with me any day. Best Puppy and went on the Puppy In Terrier Group 4th – congratulations.
