STAFFORDSHIRE BULL SKC OCTOBER 24 Judge: Mr C Dean STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE SKC OCTOBER 24 Firstly may I thank the Scottish Kennel Club, Officers and Committee, for inviting me to judge their prestigious show, my first awarding CCs, also for making me and my wife so welcome, also to my 2 lady stewards, Morag McQuade and Marion Jamieson for all their help, all things ran smoothly. I would also like to thank all exhibitors. Who took the time, expense and effort to enter, as my entry was up on the previous year. I was very happy with the quality of my exhibits overall, some exhibits had poor tail carriage,which spoils the outline of the dog, fortunately, these were only a few, mouths were good, many of my top 2 placings in most classes, were both worthy of a first, however this was my opinion at that time on that day, a big thankyou to you all, for making my day most enjoyable. I think our breed is in a good place! 1 Isles, Ladurna Glen Lion For Luthais. Just 6 months old blk brindle, standard puppy, oozes quality for such a young dog, clean in outline, correct in head eye, ears and mouth, lovely expression, nice topline, good rear angulations, moved appropriately for age. Only lost out on Best Puppy Dog due to maturity, well done. 2 Owen, Tagstane Tornado. Blk brindle pup of 7 months, again lovely standard pup, all the virtues of one, nothing between the 2, both dogs should have a future, again movement consumate with age, well done. 3 Sandford’s Jodels Nights In White Saturn At Lornicstaff. 1 Davies, Hasburystaff Top Gun. 10 Month old striking blk brinlde, std size puppy, lovely head shape, distinct stop, dark eye, good bite, large teeth, well set neat ears, good skull to muzzle ratio, well off for bone, no exaggerations, great expression, level topline held on move, good rear angulations, moved well. Glad to award him Best Puppy and see him go Terrier Puppy Group 1, well done! 2 Moorcroft, Ellchansha Charm The Devil At Moorstar. Standard quality, blk brindle pup of 10 months, really nice dog, quality substance, a nice blend of bull and terrier, correct head, dark eye, good bite, correct skull to muzzle ratio, dark eye, correct ears, great expression, moved ok. Seemed unsetled, I think having bitches on first affected a few dogs, but I assessed what I saw, a real quality pup. Which should mature well in the future, well done. 3 Duncan, Rhebelstaff Hunky Dory. 1 Picket, Valglo Top Gun. 17 month old standard blk, of real quality, stunning correct head, neatest of ears, excellent muzzle to skull ratio, correct bite, dark eye, good ear carriage, dark eye pleasing expression, correct length of neck, well placed shoulders, straight front, level topline held on move, rear angulations all correct, nice moving dog, went with drive and ease, was considered for CC and Reserve, well done a super dog. 2 Thorley, Crewestaff Half Blud Prince. 13 month old blk brindle, another real quality standard dog, as first, just lacking a bit of maturity, quality dog well done. 3 Johnson, Tillcar Fire Soldier JW. 1 Mayren, Fergiestaffs Polar Bear JW. 18 Months old skewbald of substance, well off for bone, correct head, nice pigmentation, dark eye, correct bite, with correct ears, pleasing expression, straight front, correct lay of shoulder, level topline held on move, good drive from rear, in my thoughts for ticket, well done handled well. 2 Oram, Kamaristaffs Royal Rumble. 22mth blk, lovely standard dog, pleasing head shape, good eye, ear & mouth, straight front, level topline, good rear angulations, moved okay, again I think, the scent of bitches affected his movement slightly today, hence decision, a real quality dog who I’m sure will change places on another day, well done quality dog. 3 Wilson, Baalzatarz Zibal. 1 Wilson & Rogers, Beinn A Bhuird With Azzgem. 2.5 yr old red, another dog of quality and substance, nice head shape, good eye, ear, mouth, excellent pigmentation, for a red, straight front, good lay of shoulder, level topline moved extremely well, handled well, lady got the best out of him, rear angulations all fine, was another in the running. Well done. 2 Suarez Valle, Narkya Deadpool, 2.5 Yrs top size blk, real quality specimen really good condition, a lot to like head, eye and mouth & ears all okay, moved well, handled very well. 1 Hinsley, Earthquake Staffs Wear It Well At Tigerbull. 2.5 yr old white with red patch on eye, a striking standard dog, strength, without exaggerations, clean in outline, first class condition, correct head, skull to muzzle ratio as it should be, excellent pigment, which is important for a predominantly white dog, correct scissor bite with large clean teeth, dark well shaped eye, correctly placed ear set. Giving a pleasing expression, nice reach of neck, leading to excellent lay of shoulders, straight front, tight feet, ample rib, nice tuck up, level topline held on move, correct rear angulations, moved free, with drive, completely effortless, a pleasure to award him DCC & Res Best Of Breed, a close decision. Well handled, well done. 2 Wilson, Northstaff Nightmare JW. A 2.5 Yr old quality black, who was unfortunate to meet 1st in this class today, a standard dog, of real quality, head, eye mouth ear, all fine, well put together great angulations, moved exceptionally well, handled to perfection, another dog with a future, well done. 3 Kenyon, Pendlestaff Hurricane. 1 Stanway, Waystaff Strikes Mayhem (ai). 3 year old white red patches, standard dog, strength without exaggerations, correct in head eye, mouth ears, lovely expression, straight, front, good lay of shoulder, level topline, held on move, good rear angulations, moved very well pushed for CC, but Res CC today, well done, super dog. 2 Briant Nicholson & Southfield, Balidonna Roger The Dodger JW. 6 year old standard mahogany brindle, well worthy of his place, all correct in head, eye, ears mouth, good, rear angulations, good mover, nice dog, well handled, well done. VD (1) 1 McClellawie, Ch Rochlawie Behold The Hour. 9 year old standard, blk brindle who defies his age, a real quality standard dog, nice blend of bull and terrier, head, eye, mouth, ear, all okay, straight front, nice lay of shoulder, level topline, rear angulations all good, moved very well, handled to perfection, Best Veteran In Breed, well done, a pleasure going over him. 2 Wilson, Baalzstarz Zibal. 15 Month old brindle. Unplaced in junior, standard dog, more long cast than winner, correct in head, eye, mouth & ear, level topline, moved okay, well presented, thank you for bringing him. 1 Mills, Stormbreakers Vengeance At Milarke Bull. 8 Month old top size red, VHC in puppy, nice pigment for a red, okay in head, mouth, ears, dark eye, moved okay, a young dog who will hopefully benefit from maturity, well done. 1 Taylor, Fredbur Gogo Yubari At Niatona. 6 Month old blk brindle, a real quality standard bitch, clean in out line, good in head, very correct, mouth, eye, ear, all okay, lovely body, for age, rear angulations, all good,moved as a puppy of this age should, a real little stunner, Best Puppy Bitch, only lost out to best puppy in breed, on maturity. Well done. 2 Meek, Ladarna Glen Doll. 6 Month blk brindle, very similar to 1st nothing between the 2, could easilly swap places again, moved as a puppy of this age should, well done. 3 Shepherd, Ladurna Glen Isla. 1 Duncan, Rhebelstaff Sweet Thing. Again 6 month old blk brindle, several litter mates all of similar quality, excellent puppy, nothing between the 2, this bitch is a little cracker, all good eye, mouth, ears, clean in outline, moved as a puppy should, good future for her, well done. 1 Stanway, Northpoints Dressed For Success At Waystaff (Imp Nld) 15 month old red bitch, nice blk mask, a standard bitch, of real quality, correct in head, eye, mouth & ears, really nice expression, straight front, nice lay of shoulder, level topline, held on move, rear angulations all good, excellent mover, in my consideration for CC, well done. 2 Johnson, Tillcar Desire For Fire. 15 Month old standard black, real eye catcher, excels in type, head correct, no exaggerations, eye, mouth and ears all good, straight front. Tight feet, good lay of shoulder, level topline held on move, rear angulations all okay, excellent mover, a pleasure to go over her, nothing between the two, well done. YB (7,1) 1 Gray, Aberstaff Merry Of Soul. 19 mth old standard skewbald, a real classy bitch. Head correct, ear, eye, mouth all correct, nice pigmentation, straight front, tight feet, level topline held on move, rear angulations all good, moved fine.Well done. 2 Jones, Kamaristaffs Royal Velvet JW. 23 Mth old standard black bitch of depth and quality. Correct in head, eye, mouth, ears all correct, nice expression, good lay of shoulder, good topline, she was a bit bloated after a season, but real eye catching quality bitch, who moved well. 1 Cartwright, Ellitebull Skyfall JW. Just over 2 yr old stunning, standard blk bitch. This bitch caught my eye immediately, excels in head shape, correct skull to muzzle ratio, correct scissor bite, large clean teeth, dark eye, distinct stop, correct ear placement, very pleasing expression, correct length of neck, leading to well placed shoulders, straight front, tight feet, ample rib, level topline. Held on the move, moved with drive and purpose freely, very good rear angulations, neatest pump handle tail, a credit to her owners, who were ecstatic to recieve her first CC, one of many I hope, well done, CC & Best Of Breed. 2 Sandford, Farlenium Iron Queen At Lornicstaff. 2 yrs 4 mth old. Brindle white pied, a standard bitch of real quality, put down in excellent condition, head correct, eye, mouth, ear, all okay, straight front, tight feet, nice reach of neck, good lay of shoulder, level topline, held on move, rear angulations all good moved well, considered for RCC, a really nice bitch, well handled. 3 Taylor, Niatona Sissy That Walk. 1 Karlsson, Jewelstaff Heart And Steel With Wyrefare. 3.5 yr old stunning blk bitch, a lovely blend of bull and terrier, correct in head scissor bite, good skull to muzzle ratio, dark eye, correct ears, giving a pleasing expression, nice reach of neck, leading to good lay of shoulder. Straight front, tight front, level topline held on move, rear angulations all good, moved with drive and ease, a bitch of real quality, put down in hard fit condition, pleasure in awarding her the Res CC,well done a pleasure to go over her, let’s hope she goes on now. 2 McConnachie, Calgacus Niamh. 2 Yr 6 mth old, black standard bitch, really nice fit bitch, correct in head, mouth, eye, ears all good, cleanest of outlines, straight front, tight feet, good lay of shoulder, level topline, held on move, rear angulations all good, moved well, well done. 3 Rochelle, Kirstaff Dollys Daredevil At Metalbull. OB (9,3) Shipp, Ch Delacour Sweetest Taboo For Idylicstaff JW. 2 yrs 2 mth old brindle & white pied, standard bitch of real quality, a picture of health excels in type, head correct, eye, ears, mouth, all correct and excellent straight front, nice reach of neck, well laid shoulders, with tight feet, ample rib, level topline held on move, rear angulations all correct, excellent moving bitch, a pleasure to go over her, in my thoughts for top honours, well done. 2 Hamilton & Murphy, Ch Bonny Lass Of Angels Peak Shawrigg JW. 2.5 yrs old standard skewbald bitch, very pretty, correct in head, eye, mouth, ears all okay, straight front, tight feeet, ample rib, level topline, held on move, rear angulations all good, nice pump handle tail, moved very well with drive and free, a credit to her owners, a pleasure to go over her, splitting hairs with 1, well done. 3 McClelland, Rochlewie Ever Mair. 1 Moffat, Kargonstaffs Kokoro. 7 yrs 2 mth, standard black brindle bitch, put down in excellent condition, clean in outline, head correct, eye, mouth, ears okay, straight front, level topline, moved well, nice bitch, a pleasure to go over her. 2 Stevens, Darling Suzie Girl At Eclipsebulls. 7.5yr old tiger brindle, put down in good condition, feminine head, okay on eye, mouth, ears. Good rear angulations, moved okay, a pleasure to go over her. SBB (5) 1 Nicholson, Cafall Pin Up Girl. 2yrs 4 mth old tiger brindle bitch, put down in excellent condition, correct head, eye, mouth, ear, all good, pleasing expression, clean front, tight feet, level topline held on move, rear angulations all good, moved well, well handled, well done, Special Beginners Terrier Group 1. 2 Courtney, Shooting Red Stars Of The Warriors Red Skins. 3 yr old standard red.Bitch. Blk mask. Really clean in outline. Presented in excellent condition. Correct in head, eye, ear, mouth. Level topline held on move. Good rear angulations. Really well presented. Handled well. Unfortunate to meet 1 today. Well done. 3 Stevens, Neobulls Hellfire. GCB (2,1) 1 Mills, Blueboy Winner At Milarke Bull. 23 Month old solid blue, VHC in open.Standard bitch nice in body, standard size, level topline, good condition, a bit of quality in her feminine head, correct in mouth, ear, eye, rear angulations okay moved okay, one of the better quality solid blues, I’ve come across, well done.
