STAFFORDSHIRE BULL SKC MAY 15 Judge: Mrs K Jackson (Jackabyte) BEST OF BREED : 3740 DUNCAN Mr & Mrs A & G Nettleworth No Nonsense JW My thanks are extended to the Society for the invitation and the hospitality, and to my ring stewards who helped the ring management to run smoothly. My thanks also extend to the exhibitors who entered and brought their dogs to be assessed by me and accepted my decisions in the sporting manner our breed enthusiasts are known for. You are a credit to your fellow exhibitors. On the day I examined many top quality dogs and bitches and in some classes, as is often said, there were truly not enough place cards to give out. On the whole, I found mouths to be good with no inverted canines; I saw a few untidy incisors but nothing which detracted from a complete scissor bite. Overall the quality was very good and the bitches in particular portrayed a good blend of bull and terrier. Bitches are key to a good healthy breeding programme and in my opinion the future is looking good from the bitches I examined. Overall fitness and presentation was good with just a few who could have brought their charges with a clean coat. Movement generally was good. MINOR PUPPY DOG (3,0) 1st Boath' s LUTHAIS BORN TO REIGN B/Br Young standard sized dog not overdone who was very well balanced overall. Good sort. Nice head with good shape and definition, enough strength for his tender age. Dark eye. Good expression. Correct bite. Clean straight front with enough bone. Level topline. Clean lines throughout. He has lots to come as he matures. Moved out well once settled; his movement was clean fore and aft. 2nd Finney' s BALLINDONA CRAFT COPPER Br Powerful compact youngster with strong head and good proportions. Ample bone and strength throughout. Correct bite. Pleasing expression. Good topline. Good bend of stifle and rear quarters. Close decision but just preferred the movement of 1st 3rd Coffey' s ABORIGINAL DARK STORM PUPPY DOG (6,0) 1st Jack' s SIKAISTAFF THE BEAST B/Br dog who is of good size. Loved his expression and headshape with strong broad skull, defined stop short enough in foreface with well placed dark round eye and good ear set. Strong jaw with correct bite. Muscular short neck with good width at shoulders. Straight well boned front. Good width of chest and depth of brisket. Level topline standing and on the move. Lovely outlines overall. Rear quarters well developed for a young dog showing good thigh muscle. Good bend of stifle well let down hocks. Powerful throughout. Good tail set and carriage. Loved his overall breed type. He must have a bright future and I? m sure he will go on to do very well. Handled and presented well. Moved cleanly and with drive. Everything I said previously still stands, she oozes breed type and I really love her. She thoroughly deserves her title and has class and style that is befitting a champion. She thoroughly deserves all the accolades attributed to her. She did seem a little flat today, I have seen her with more ring presence but nonetheless, she absolutely deserved to win this class as her pure breed type carries her through to her first place.
