STAFFORDSHIRE BULL RICHMOND 23 Judge: Mrs G Yuill STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE RICHMOND 23 My thanks to all the exhibitors that braved not only one of the hottest days of the year but also the ‘traffic’. Also my thanks to my 2 stewards who managed mainly to keep everyone in the shade, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Overall I was pleased with the quality of those that exhibited under me, pigmentation stood out as excellent which is a big thumbs up from me, mouths were good all round but I was a bit concerned with the rear movement in quiet a few of the exhibits. I do feel that several exhibits and their handlers need to do more training before going to a championship show, or any show, it’s always a good thing to get somebody else to move your dog so you can guage the correct pace to move your dog. 1 Mitchell’s Our Little Cracker VW, Blue still maintaining his true colour (albeit with a few grey hairs) taking the heat totally in his stride, moved well, possibly one of the best movers of the day. 1 Johnson, Tillcarr Fire Soldier, black brindle, well presented, obviously only a baby, good mouth, ear placement correct, should have a bright future, handler needs to slow down on the move. 2 Johnson, Exodusbulls Blue Atlas, as the name says a blue, so obviously a baby, not settled, difficult to go over and movement was erratic, once handler & dog do some training they will enjoy showing a lot more and could do well. 1 Cychol’s Kylestaff The Hitman, Older of the 2 in this class both black brindles, dark eye, well placed ears, good mouth, excellent pigmentation, moved ok. BPD. 2 Bennet N & S, Powerpack Singularity, well constructed just lost out on maturity to 1, good expression, dark eye, neat ears, should do well when matured, moved ok. 1 Sheldon’s Kamaristaffs Royal Ranson At Bowtman, black brindle, super mouth with good pigmentation, dark eye, ear placement correct, maturing at right pace, moved ok but both handler and dog need to gel. 2 Terry’s Kannechor Guess He’s Back At Gnosall, black brindle, dark eye, good mouth, neat ears, handler needs to learn not to stretch him out too much, moved ok. 3 Johnson, Exodusbulls Boss Adonis. 1 Cychol’s Kylestaff The Hitman, see 1st in Puppy, he moved much better in this class. 2 Foulkes’s Bullbrothers Gosh Chily, red, lovely dark mask, head shape ok, he was not at all happy and as a consequence not happy on the move. 1 Gardner’s Labrastaf Espresso, black brindle, good mouth, ears ok, moved ok. 2 Wilson & Rodgers, Beinn A Bhuird With Azzgem, red, lovely dark mask, dark eye, mouth good, move and handled well. 3 Nolan’s Chiswestaff I Am Legend. 1 Tomkins, Pasgal Reach Out And Touch, black brindle, excellent pigmentation, dark eye, nice head shape, good ear placement, moved well. 2 Yates, Zakdan Devious Devil, not a lot to choose between 1 & 2, similar comments apply, good class. 3 Knight, Kalostaffs Dark Knight. 1 Boggins & Burton, Luthais Lock Tay, first went over this dog when he was just out of puppy and he has met all my expectations, lovely head shape, excellent mouth, dark eye, good pigmentation, not overdone in any department, at one with his handler consequently moved very well, definitely the best in this class. Please to award him the DCC (his 3rd) and BOB and lovely to see how well he went in the Group being shortlisted. 2 Jefferson’s Alport Bold Ruler, good head shape, again excellent mouth, not unsimilar to 1, moved well just unlucky to meet 1. 3 Stevens, Raynsford, Raynstaff Old Fashioned. 1 Parker’s Ch Jackabyte Boletoro At Nettleworth, judged this dog before, has matured well with everything in the right place, again excellent mouth, good head shape, correct ears but then this should all be correct from a dog of this calibre, unfortunate to come up against CC winner but still pleased to award RCC. 2 Arntzen & Manito, Ch Catstaff’s Used To, another excellent example of the breed, just felt his movement wasn’t his best today, heat probably had something to do with this. 3 Stanway’s Waystaff Strikes Mayhem. 2 Cychol’s Kylestaff The Hitman, 1st Novice. 3 Martinez, Bullbrothers Howay The Lads. 1 Robinson, Robinson-Cox & Cox, Studstaff Sugar And Spice Of Hamason, lovely red, dark mask, teeth still looking good as is the rest of her for 8.5 years moved well, credit to her owner. Best Veteran. 2 Daly-Lees’s Starolestaff Arabella At Boscador, black brindle again good for her 9 years, moved well also a credit to her owner. 1 Stanway’s Northpoints Dressed For Success At Waystaff, red 7 months, lovely expression helped by dark mask, dark eyes, neat ears, good mouth, coming along nicely, should have good future. 1 Constant’s Sikaistaff Cask Strength, lovely feminine black brindle, really liked her, super dark eye, neat ears, she has just the right amount of development for her age, handled and moved well. Pleased to award her BPB and BPIB. 2 Bennett’s Scipelel Against All Odds, 2 very nice puppies, similar comments, however I preferred the movement of 1. 1 Cartwright, Elitebull Skyefall JW, smart bitch, stood four square, good head shape with lovely expression, dark eye, neat ears, moved well, she was very calm despite the heat. 2 Jones, Kamaristaff Royal Velvet, feminine head, dark eye, not as calm as 1, please don’t stretch her out at the back, moved ok. 3 Garner’s Blossom Queen Bee For Labrastaf. 1 Hammond’s Hammystaff Love Bomb, smart red white pied, probably the most mature in the class, good head shape, dark eye, move and handled well. 2 Quinn’s Callastaff Five Years At Bowferry, black brindle, not as mature as 1, pigmentation good, teeth & ears good, moved ok. 3 Moldovan’s Ayledastaff Forgive Me Not. 1 Norris’s Trawden Ruby Tuesday At Haidastaff, red white pied, liked this bitch, dark eye, good head shape, moved and handled well. 2 Walker’s Torkavi The Last Dragon At Teshleystaf, just out of puppy, very feminine black brindle, dark eye, pigmentation good, moved well she should come on nicely as she matures. 3 Parry’s Berrystock Heart And Soul. 1 Bowman’s Sikaistaff All Of Me, black brindle, lovely feminine bitch, good head shape, dark eye, tidy ears, moved and handled well. 2 Norris’ Trawden Ruby Tuesday At Haidastaff, 1st in novice. 3 Funnell’s Powerpack Morgan Le Fay. 1 Prutton’s Jasamarch Ditsy Diva, black brindle, very tidy feminine bitch, good pigmentation, dark eye, neat ears, moved well. 2 Thurston’s Pasgal Wishing On A Star, very similar to 1, feminine bitch, dark eye, good mouth, neat ears, probably the best mover in the class. 3 Jones’ Magicgem Queen Of Hearts At Rougestaff. 1 Crawford D & Wilson K, Northstaff Bay Bomber For Crowstaff, my type of bitch, feminine, good head shape, dark eye, neat ears, just enough muscle for a bitch, moved and handled well, pleased to award her the RCC am sure she will do well in the future. 2 Efreme’s Labrastaf Afterdark At Bindyestaff, another feminine bitch, showed well, eyes, ears, mouth all correct, preferred movement of 1. 3 Funnell’s Powerpack Alura Finvarra JW.
