Morecambe Bay & Cumbria Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club Championship Show 4/5/2015
I would like to start off by saying that it was an honor and a pleasure to be invited and judge Morecambe Bay & Cumbria Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club Championship Show again after my incident with a G.S.D.
There were so many good exhibits went home card less, Mouths in general were good and so was the overall fitness and quality of the exhibits. I would like to personally thank my two excellent and competent stewards for making the show run smoothly, also the hospitality of the officers and committee for making our day complete and would like to wish the club the very best for the future.
DOGS
M/P/D (7,1a)
1st Rowe, IIIORI AKINLANA, B/B. Not my usual choice, top size minor puppy, but the soundest mover in the class, in good condition and clean outlines, moved around the ring with ease.
2nd Finny, BALLINDONA CRAFTY COPPER, Mog/Bri. More of my type powerful head piece for his age, plenty of bone and substance, nice rich colour, just proffered the movement of my first place.
3rd Baldwin, ELITEBULL NIGHT MISSION, D/B.
Puppy (5,1a)
1st Janssen, EARTHQUAKE STAFFS BUFFLO SOLDIER, W. A puppy that’s pleasing to the eye, good outlines, and nice head shape, correct ears & eyes, enough bone and substance at this age, in very good condition and moved well covering the ground with ease, just hope he hits the height when he’s older, B/P/D & B.P.I.S.
2nd Waltham, DRINGSHAW MARQUEZ, R/W. A bit more mature than my first place, ample covering, nice type and in good condition, moved ok.
3rd Boyle, KARAGONSTAFFS KOWALSKI.
Junior (11,2a)
1st Pushko, BETHALEESE’S LAWSTAFF FLYER, B/B/W. Close between these two and could change places on another day, nice in type clean in head shape and body outlines, in very good condition, well balanced move very well.
2nd Hirst, TARAIEL BUSTA RHYMES, JW. B/B. Standard short and compact, dark eyes and correct ear carriage, good bite, nice bone and body, good coat and condition, proffered the movement of the first place.
3rd Thomas, CAZOMIC CRIME FIGHTER.
Yearling (9,2a)
1st Susic, KEGS ON LEGS FERASOME DEVIL, B/B. Good type with good bone and substance in cracking condition, good head shape ears and eyes, correct bite, nice neck and shoulders, bodied well with good angulations, moved and handled well.
2nd Butler, RAMBLESTAFF COS I COULD, B/B/W. Another nice type with very good expression, clean though, could easily change places on another day, in superb condition, would like to see a bit more covering, moved well once settled down.
3rd Pitas, SATIP DIRTY DANCING.
Novice (4,1a)
1st Waltham, DRINGSHAW MARQUEZ, R/W. Had second in puppy class.
2nd Pitas, SATIP DIRTY DANCING. Red, Nice enough and a good colour, would like more of him. Moved well.
3rd Papworth, TIEZELSTAFFS MOONSHINE BAY.
Grad (4)
1st Davies, GINSTEAN MAN OF GOD, B/B/W. Well balanced short and compact, pleasing head shape good ears and dark eyes, short muzzle with correct bite, well bodied and good outlines to him, in nice condition moved with ease around the ring.
2nd Not in catalogue, MITZSTAFF CRAZY CUS, B/B. Another one of type with ample bone and substance, dark eyes, good bite, straight, front, tight feet, well-ribbed, short coupled, strong quarters, moved well.
3rd Hopkins, GOLDEN BOY TRUFFLESTAFFOF SPIRT STAFF.
Post Grad (14,1a)
1st Grove, MANARK MURPHYS LAW, B/B. Watched this one from a puppy, nice and steady, maturing evenly. Nice to se that the young handler and dog finely become one, a bang on standard dog clean, short and compact, fit and hard, always in immaculate condition, coat gleams and moved well covering the ground with ease, won a stunning class but can’t rush maturity, has ample time on his side.
2nd Miller, DELDENAS BLACK SHADOW, A bit more to this dog in the way of bone and substance, very good expression pleasing to the eye, pushed hard for top spot good in type just lost out to the condition of the first place.
3rd Downes, WAYSTAFF DOUBLE TROUBLE, Bri/W.
Limit (17,1a)
One of the biggest classes of the day for me with a lot of good dogs going cardless a lot of quality exhibits of breed type, short compact and well balanced.
1st Houghton, BELTERSTAFF GINGER JOE, Red. First thing I noticed about this dog was his depth of muzzle and stunning under jaw, sadly not seen enough these days. A well balanced dog in my opinion that’s been overlooked many times, bang in the standard with a very good head shape, nice expression, small ears, dark eyes, strong deep muzzle, correct bite, good round bone, well padded feet, ample rib, short coupled, kept his top line on the move, powerful quarters, good pigmentation, true in front and rear, a pleasure to award him Res CC.
2nd Macdonald, MAGICAL APACHE OF PANTYCELYN, Bri. Another one of breed type, excellent expression small ears, dark eye, clean muzzle, good feet, well upon his toes, level top line, strong quarters, good bend of stifle, moved well and in good condition.
3rd Cope, ECLYPSTAFF FAST N’ FURIOUS.
Open (20,2a)
Another great class of quality and type.
1st Smith, CH STAFFASH THE HURRICANE, R/W. Judged this one before and gave him a first place in post grad, nice to see he has gone all the way to his title.
Just gone from strength to strength, very eye catching and well balanced, short and compact, standard as they come. In immaculate condition, hard and fit moved like a dream covering the ground with ease, handled very well, a credit to the owner and a pleasure to award him CC. and went on to win B.I.S.
2nd Davies, CH ECLYPSTAFF CUZ I CAN, B. Magnificent expression and head shape like it was chiselled out of coal, I kept getting drawn back to him two great examples of the breed, easily a worthy champion in his own right, in superb condition and moved very well fore and aft keeping a level topline.
3rd Robinson, LEDGER DAEL OR NO DEAL, B/B. Another well balanced dog of quality and type.
Veteran (12,7a)
1st Pushko, CH & Int CH TILLCARR TILLERMAN, B/B. In veteran but still the best of heads, grand expression, small ears and dark eyes, muzzle deep through, good bone and substance, well balanced, still moves good keeping a level topline.
2nd Fletcher & Seedhouse, Jsy CH GRANITANGEL ZIRCON PdH, B/B. A good all round, veteran, sound in all departments and a good mover for his age, still enjoys himself in the ring and why not, nice to go over him again.
3rd Pitas, ANGRANIAN SALOROSE WORRIOR.
Judge Mr. Colin Powell. (BOWTMAN).
