STAFFORDSHIRE BULL MIDLAND COUNTIES 10 Judge(s) FRANK MARLOW DCC MINTMAR JUST THE MAN JW (MRS M DEWAR) STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER Thanks to the Midland Counties for having me ajudicate dogs. Also, it was nice to have a Ring 7 in the main hall, which adds to the atmosphere. Can I thank the exhibitors for the privilege of going over their dogs. Quite a few exhibits were let down by poor ears and missed out on higher placings, poor ears spoil the expression on a Stafford. MPD 1 Galloway’s Herodotous No Problemo. Red dog, nice head shape, good ear carriage, giving a pleasing expression, nice and short in back, should do well when he settles, moved ok. 2 Hirst &Bibby’s Taraiel Dizzee Rascal. Black/brindle dog, good head and bite, straight front, nice topline, nice turn of stifle, didn’t move as good as first. 3 Hanslow’s Heriotshiels Prince Zeus For Donmarlyn. PD 1 Leyland &Simpson’s Briganah Black Knight. Black brindle dog, good strong head, dark eye, nice and short in back, straight front, good topline, moved and handled spot on. 2 Priest’s Mintmar Got The Look. Black/b, good all round dog, all the attributes of first, should do better when he settles. 3 Reaney, Hicken &Jackson’s Waystaff Super Trouper At Rolenska. JD 1 Lewis, Smart &Lowe’s Blazinstaff Blazin Justice JW. Red and white dog. His ring presence is fantastic, stunning head, good bite, neat ears, strong shoulders, good ribcage, short in back, good turn of stifle, this dog’s in your face as soon as he enters the ring, moved and handled well. 2 Chester’s Ryestaff Jack The Lad. Black/brindle dog, very powerful looking dog, big, strong head and bite, in tip top condition, a real powerhouse, moved and handled well. 3 Wall &Webb’s Manark Predator. PGD 1 Folwell &Morris’ Rowellstaff Mr Ferguson. First two were quality red dogs. This paid made a stunning picture. First had good head, neat ears, dark eye, good bite, nice topline, strong hindquarters, moved and handled well. 2 Tennick &Ridley’s Jagstaff The Fisherking. Red dog. This dog has all the attributes of first. Two good solid standard dogs, very hard to split on the day. 3 Sutcliffe’s Pendlestaff Thunderbolt. LD 1 Dewar’s Mintmar Just The Man JW. Brindle dog, a very nicely balanced dog, not overdone throughout, admired this dog for a while, great head and bite, nice front and level top, nice bend of stifle, nice blend of bull and terrier, moved and handled well. My CC. 2 Beaufoy’s Wayfare The Governor. Red dog, another stunner, fit as a flea, good strong head, correct bite, good front, levelest of toplines, moved and handled well. 3 Longley’s Emperorstaff Coronet Gold. OD 1 Small’s Merimna Mind Your Own ShCM. Black/brindle dog, shown in tiptop condition, nice clean lines throughout, making a very pleasing picture, good strong head, dark eye, good bite, nice straight front, well tucked up in loins, nice bend of stifle, looked a real picture. My RCC. 2 Johnson &Pushko’s Ru Ch Tillcar Tillerman. B/brindle dog. A dog I’ve admired for a while, just couldn’t get him to move his ears, which spoilt his expression, good balanced dog, fits the standard well, moved and handled well. 3 Pickett’s Valglo Specialist. MPB 1 Draper’s Herodotus Well Lush. Red and white bitch, nice compact puppy, good head and bite, short in back, moved and performed well for minor puppies. 2 Summerfield’s Canakey Sweetpea. Red bitch, couldn’t fault her, same attributes as first, a good sound pup, lost out on maturity. 3 Hirst &Bibby’s Taraiel Rihanna. PB 1 Simpson’s Briganah Breaking Dawn. Black/brindle bitch, very attractive young bitch, nice head, good stop, neat ears, lovely front, level topline, good bend of stifle making a very pleasing picture, she’s got a very promising future, handled very well. 2 Draper’s Herodotus Well Lush. 3 Smith’s Rowellstaff Red Ember At Willowstaff. JB 1 Trow’s Hubbulls The Promise. Red, a little stunner, presented in top condition, fits the standard to a tee, good neat head and body, lovely compact bitch, one to watch, if she takes after her name, she’s on a promise. 2 Pickett’s Valglo Amaryllis. Brindle and white, very fit bitch, shown in tip top condition, moved and handled well. 3 Hyde’s Sedgbred Beacon Baroness. PGB 1 Turner’s Trawden Snowball. White with red, neat head, dark eye, nice straight front, good topline, a very eyecatching bitch, shown and handled ok. 2 Connelly’s Rosie Mia At Gillconn. Red bitch, dark mask, dark eye, tightest of feet, well sprung ribs, nice shape all round, moved and handled well. 3 Bowler’s Bethane Modjadji At Trelynbow. LB 1 Higgins’ Spinnjack Mistletoe Magic. Black bitch. A very eye catching bitch in great condition, lovely head, good bite, dark eye, nice neat ears, cracking topline which she kept on the move, her condition was a credit to her owners. Excellent. 2 DewarMintmar One For One JW. Brindle bitch, didn’t seem to settle, a very well put together bitch, still has a lot going for her, moved ok. 3 Funnell’s Kewaunee Pocahontas For Powerpack JW. OB 1 Hirst &Bibby’s Taraiel Trinity. Black brindle with white front and collar. The best class of the day, all quality bitches, lovely strong head, nice dark eye, good bite, nice neat front, short coupled, looked a picture, she performed brilliantly and moved like a dream. My CC. 2 Blacker’s Ch Crossguns Memphis Belle. Brindle bitch of real quality, couldn’t fault her, all the attributes of a top notch bitch, just outshone on the day by first.
