STAFFORDSHIRE BULL LEEDS 11 Judge: Mr Steve Whitehouse STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE LEEDS 11 Staffords All dogs & bitches were of a very good quality, some better than others. Overall health & type was very pleasing. Thankfully not too many oversized or over exaggerated animals. MPD 1 Harkin’s Listcall Uncle Buck in Harkline, b/br, very young man who oozes Stafford qualities, in very good order all roundm moved & handled well for a minor puppy, should have very good show career; 2 Plant’s Kyraloebis Italian Gigalo, b/br, very similar to 1 in all round good condition, very pleasing to go over all attributes, coming along nicely. PD 1 Martin’s Rough Necks Son Dance Kid at Alvis, r/w, typical Stafford puppy, alert, full of himself, good head shape, good dentition, good topline, nice backend developing, moved OK; 2 Cartwright’s Zakstaff Game On, b/br, another quality dog who is good to see, lovely head, neck & good front, good mouth, topline OK, moved OK. Needs a bit more get up & go. JD 1 Jones’ Inner Steel of Foyleoak, red who I have had the pleasure of judging & awarding a IKC Green Star to, lovely tempered dog, to go over he posses a good bite, level topline, good neck & shoulders, lovely front, well angulated backend, could quite easily gain top honours; 2 Rydor’s Kannechor Vincit Omnia, b/br of a very high standard, cracking head shape, good dentition, well angulated backend with tidy front, plenty of bone. Needs to settle on the move. Y 1 Weiss’ It’s Prince Naseem Great And Glory, b/br of outstanding type, fits the Standard really well, good strong head not overdone, very good dentition, good ear carriage, very good front, strong pasterns, tidy feet, lovely topline, well angulated backend, moved & showed himself off to perfection on a hot day. Awarded CC without hesitation; 2 McDermott’s Waystaff Dutch Cheiftan, r/w pied, cracking looking dog with loads of quality, everything in the right place. Pushed hard for RCC, just needed to be a tad harder for me. UGD 1 Z Game On; 2 Heron’s Dillirystaff Le Diable Rouge, red of significant substance, everything in good order, although far to much for me. Moved OK. GD 1 Hurst & Bibby’s Taraiel Dizzee Rascal, b/br, fit hard condition, good head shape, good bite, level topline, good angled backend, moved & handled well; 2 Marachowski Emperorstaff Hayabusa at Passernomen, red, typical Stafford attributes, moved OK. PGD 1 Lyland & Simpson’s Briganah Black Knight, b/br, typical Stafford expression on strong clean head without exaggeration, good ear carriage, strong neck & shoulders, lovely front, good posture & feet, lovely topline, in very good condition nose to tail, moved well. RCC; 2 Alger’s Crossguns Diamond Geezer, b/br, good head shape, good dentition, strong backend, well angulated, tidy front, plenty of bone all round, moved OK. LD 1 Bradley, Bird & Page’s Aymstaff Devil in Desguise, dark br/w of substance, well worthy of his title, in very good order, cracking head shape, neat ears, good bite, lovely shoulder placement, good front, level topline stood & on the move, powerful backend producing plenty of drive when moving; 2 Marlows Brighanah New Moon, b/br of strong powerful construction, everything in the right place, another top quality Stafford from the Brighanah kennel, lovely expression, all quarters correct, I am sure will gain his title, moved well & handles well. OD 1 Evans’ Kalhol Dark Maruda, b/br, what a pleasure to see a dog well up on his toes on such a hot day, really well constructed all over, really well balanced he possesses all the attributes a Stafford should posses, head, front, topline, backend, short coupled, moved & handled well; 2 Galvin & Schofield’s Ch Scouswious Pretzel Logic, dog of substance, good head, bite, topline & backend, plenty of bone, good tailset. Could have moved better on cooler day. MPB 1 McGowain & Owens’ Tagstane Fuschia Struck, promising dark brindle, everything in order at this age, coped well in the heat, lovely little mover, enjoyed herself, feminine but strong head, nice front, topline & backend, one to watch; 2 Budge’s Cyberstaff Honey’s Lil Gal at Budgestaff, b/br, another quality pup, very promising, lovely head, good bite, all quarters coming on nicely, nice eyes, moved OK. PB 1 Davies’ Sebsonic Shine A Light at Stormbull, b/br, young girl who catches your eye straight away with superb ring presence, has all the quality to go all the way to ch in my opinion, fantastic head shape, good mouth, clean cut & feminine all over, moves with purpose & showmanship, level topline, strong & well angled backend, good front & coupling, nice feet. Just needs to start hardening up; 2 Moody’s Moodystaff Lady Luck, b/br, similar in type to 1, just lacked the ring presence of 1. Strong construction, strong head, good neck, nice shoulders, tidy front, held topline well on the move, well handled. JB 1 Dickinson & Stewart’s Devils Angle, b/br, caught my eye straight away, movement round the ring is spot on, just my type, cracking head, good ear carriage, lovely neck & shoulders, correct front, good topline stood & on the move, plenty of bone, ideal Stafford. Pushed very hard for CC, a bit harder & I would have no hesitation on awarding her the CC; 2 Hirst & Bibby’s Taraiel Ciara, b/br, another classy young bitch who I’m sure will have a very good show career, nice & fit, feminine head, clean lipped, good level topline, nicely balanced, moved well. YB 1 McClements & Hrarchowsk, Miss Cherie at Joadanzac, mahogany/br of all round balance, loads to like, fits the Standard in all departments, in fit condition, well presented, moved & handled very well; 2 Murray & Kirklands Cinfel Lady Ehenside, red with dark mask, good looking Staff, neat head, strong underjaw, good bone, neat backend & moved OK. UGB 1 Draper Herodptus Well Lush, r/w, flashy looking bitch of substance, strong but feminine head, good ear carriage, good bite, well angulated backend, close coupled, moved OK; 2 Draper Heridptus Whats Occurin, r/w, very much in the same vain as 1, seemed a bit laid back compared with her sister but a good well balanced bitch. GB 1 Coble’s Surestaff Valentine, b/br of quality, in fit hard condition, very good head shape, clean lipped, good eye & ear carriage, tidy dentition, good neck & shoulders, level topline, powerful well angulated backend, pleasure to judge, moved well; 2 C Honeys Lil Gal at B. PGB 1 McPhail & Granary’s Tagstane Dora The Xplora at Scorguie, maghogany/br, cracking head shape, good underjaw, tidy dentition, nice front & quarters, should be fitter, moves well; 2 Heidi’s Blazenstaff Devils Diamond, cracking Standard red, strong head, round eye, perfect size bite, good shoulders & front, level topline held stood & on the move, correct angulation, moved very well. LB 1 Simpson’s Briganah Breaking Down, b/br who stood out in this class, excels in group, type & quality, just what I look for in a Stafford, has attributes that make her a pleasure to go over, good head, bite, topline, backend, front & shoulders, ample bone etc. CC & BOB, a real credit to breeders & owners; 2 Ryder’s Kannechor Bedazzled, b/br of top drawer quality, lost out to a bitch in top form. Has a lot of the qualities of 1, just needs to be a bit harder & settle on the move. OB 1 Trow’s Ch Hubbuls The Promise, what a cracking red of superb quality, more than worthy of her title, in very good condition, oozes type, fits Standard to a tee, nothing exaggerated, I’m sure she will gain more top honours; 2 Walker’s Tiptoe Red Lady at Janikastlo, r/w of sound Stafford type, good head & ear carriage, tidy dentition, level topline, good backend, move & handled well.
