East Midlands Staffordshire Bull Terrier Championship Show 09.11.2024

Judge Michelle Southall Beckash

I would firstly like to Thank the committee for giving me opportunity to judge their double weekend show and the hospitality shown. My Stewards Claire and Janstje kept the ring running smoothly. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for the privilege of assessing your stock and taking my placings in a sporting manor.
On a positive note, I did not find any obstructed nares nor mouth issues.
I did note some exhibits lacking in condition and a couple who could have been bathed and teeth could have been cleaned.
Both of these minor but can make a difference in your placings on the day. I believe you get out what you put in.
I was happy with my placings and there were a few dogs who I believe will make top honours in the future. I wish you all the best.

Class 1

Veteran 5/4
1-CH Elitebulls Challenger JW - Mrs D L and Mr A J Desmond

Black Brindle in tip top condition. This is the 1st time I've had the privilege of assessing this boy. Good muscle definition and gleaming coat. He has a fabulous expression with neat small thin ears carried correctly. Good depth and width to his skull and muzzle. Dark round well placed eyes, he is clean in his face. He has a correct bite with big white teeth. Short neck leading to well laid shoulders and a straight front. Good depth to brisket and well sprung ribs. He is short coupled with level topline. Correct tail setting and powerful rear quarters with good musculation and well let down hocks and good bend to stifle. Looking through my placings the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, there are several of his progeny in the final line up and this breeder has excelled in breeding to type- well done. BVD

1-CH Kamaristaffs Royal Ranson At Bowtman JW – Miss L Sheldon

Stood out in this class for me today. What a privilege to assess this dog. I've seen him grow from ringside and what a treat to actually put your hands on.
Eye catching black/brindle standard size well balanced dog, lovely head piece with a cracking expression and neatest of ears. Distinctive stop and darkest of eyes. Huge white canines housed in a powerful jaw. Balanced without exaggerations from all angles. Masculine and muscular. Front is wide with depth to brisket Good for bone straight legs with tight feet and short nails. Strength in abundance in his neck but not overdone. Short coupled leading to correct angulated rear. Hind quarters well defined parallel and hocks let down which showed on the move. I honestly believe this exhibit will be one of the true stars of the breed. CC and Best in Show.
