STAFFORDSHIRE BULL DRIFFIELD 19 Judge: Mrs Elizabeth Smith STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE DRIFFIELD 19 Thank you to the Secretary and Committee of Driffield Dog Show Society for the opportunity to judge Staffordshire Bull Terriers at their show. Thank you to the exhibitors for an excellent entry with very few absentees, and for their good humour and sportsmanship. Thank you to my stewards for a hard days work and for the supply of coffee which kept me going. VD (1) 1 Ryan’s Ch Rubericla Black Starscream. 10 yr old, beautifully balanced black brindle of style and quality, stood four square, carried his age well. A pleasure to go over him. BV. MPD (6, 2) 1 Robinson, Marsh & Hamason’s Fynnbar Firecracker. Smart, striking 6 mth old red and white. Pleasing, well proportioned head, good front and quarters, head up and coming forward on the move, she just asked to be placed. One to watch. 2 Funnel’s Powerpack Tam O Shanter. Black/brindle, needs to mature in order to assess her fully. Looked leggy as often happens with minor puppies, as her rib has not yet sprung, which has thrown her out of balance, still very much a baby, leaving a lot to look forward to. Well handled, which has given her good ring experience. 3 Lewis & Hamason’s To Be Frank At Karjaydan. PD (8) 1 McCarron-Tuer’s Elitebull Avenger. Compact, stocky black/brindle. Deep through head, strong muzzle, correct proportions throughout, good bite, nice rose ears, moved well. 2 Hillman’s CHalexstaff The Heathen. Pleasing black/brindle, looked slightly longer cast than above, but rib should spring with maturity. Nicely proportioned head, pleasing expression, good topline on the move, handled well. 3 Fradgley’s Kyraloebis Shadow Master. JD (9, 1) 1 Corcoran’s Molru The Navigator. Beautifully balanced black/brindle, put down hard and fit, moved and handled very well, great head and expression, neat rose ears, round ark eye, ticked all the boxes. Pleased to award him Res DCC. 2 Davis, Davis & Boldstock’s Gee Tar Man At Shamara.
