STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE DRIFFIELD 10

STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER

I would like to thank the exhibitors for a good entry, in the present climate, also the way my awards were received. My thanks to my stewards. I would like to make one observation regarding mouths, there are far too many in this entry with inverted canines, some had even been broken off to stop them going into the roof of the mouth. Please take this criticism as it is given as most people know SBTs are one of my favourite breeds.

PD(7, 2)

1 Marlow’s Briganah New Moon. B/b, with very good head, good bone, good mouth, very good body, shown in good condition, good legs and feet, moved ok, hope he has stopped growing. Best PD.

2 Leyland &Simpson’s Briganah Black Knight. Litter brother to above and very much the same type, just preferred head of first, shown in good condition, both were well handled.

3 Rollin’s Seenworstaff Strutistuff.

JD(10, 2)

1 Hyde’s Sedgbred Black Diamond. B/b, very good type, good head and eye, good front legs and feet, good body, good front, shown very fit with shining coat condition, mouth ok, moved well.

2 Chester’s Ryestaff Jack The Lad. Very good bone, good head, good legs and feet, good front, moved ok, close up to first.

3 Williams’ Gazannlou The Pretender At Bellajazz.

YD(4, 1) 1 Hyde’s Sedgbred Black Diamond. 2 Brown’s Roughnecks Crusader For Inshaig. Red, nice head, good front, good body, but not the bone or feet of winner. 3 Sheldon’s Dozzoo Royal Orange King.

PGD(7)

1 Tennick &Ridley’s Jagsstaff The Fisherking. Red of substance, good head and body with correct tuck up, good coat and condition, mouth ok, moved well, good bone.

2 Alger’s Crossguns Diamond Geezer. B/b, good head, very good mouth, good coat and body, good bone, just a touch longer than winner but close up.

3 Booth &Grimwood’s Izumis Cotton Eye Joe.

LD(9, 2)

1 Dewar’s Mintmar Just The Man. Brindle, correct size, very good head, body, legs and feet, good front, not easy to show as he does not like being stacked, moved well and so good to go over and looks good free standing, nearly threw CC away but settled to move well. CC, his third.

2 Scarlett’s Ramblestaff Ebenezer Good JW. B/b, good head, good coat and condition, good legs and feet, moved well, not so short as winner, good dog.

3 Jackson’s Chelmstaff Black Jack.

OD(11, 3)

1 Stewart’s Rapstaff The Game. A quality b/b. He was more standard size and had an excellent head, neck, body, legs and feet, good body, moved well, he is a born showman, shown in excellent condition, correct mouth, excellent condition. RCC.

2 Kilbride’s Ch Briganah Double Shadow. Very worthy, size larger but excellent in most departments and same comments apply.

3 Small’s Merimna Mind Your Own.

MPB(4)

All real babies.

1 Walker’s Janikastco In Ya Dreamz. Two well trained litter sisters, both moved well, nice heads for age, bodies ok, very good condition and promising, well handled and happy.

2 Birbeck’s Janikastco Juicy Lucy.

3 Booth &Grimwood’s Fabrehn Just A Jezebel.

2 Barker-Ventham, Booth &Grimwood’s Ramblestadd Miss Demeanour. Very nice type, good legs and feet, good head properties, good outline, moved ok.

3 Dewar’s Mintmar One For One. Sister to Dog CC, close up to above.

OB(8, 1)

Excellent class.

1 Jackson &Whitehouse’s Ch Bourtie Wot A Steal JW. B/b, white chest, just my sort of SBT. Super head and mouth, lovely front, body, legs and feet, gave her BP last time and third in Group at Birmingham. Moved even better today outside. CC and BOB.

2 Robinson, Robinson &Hedges’ Leger Photo Finish For Ramblix JW. Slightly lighter type but I still think she is one of the best movers, good in all departments, gave her RCC last time and again today.

3 Blacker’s Ch Crossguns Memphis Belle. Lovely bitch who I have always admired, today not quite the fire of first and second but older. I still think she is worthy of tickets and one of the breeds greats.
