STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER - DOGS
Many thanks to the National Terrier Club officers and committee for inviting me to judge dogs at this prestigious event. I offer my gratitude to Gary, Alison Hinsley and Pat Lewis who as ring stewards kept everything running like a well oiled clock making my job a lot easier. Finally and most importantly the exhibitors for giving me the privilege of going over their dogs and accepting my decisions very sportingly. I must add some of the placements were very close and difficult at times. MPD(16,1) 1 Bruton's Zakstaff Black Baron. Black/Brindle just 7 and a half months old, good size head developing nicely muzzle of correct length and depth, neatest of rose ears with nicely placed dark round eyes, good expression and a correct scissor bite. True straight front with clean shoulders and well padded feet, with short nails, ample rib for age close coupled and a level top line both standing also on the move. Well angulated hind quarters, nice tail set carried correctly, developing nicely for age moved and handled very well. Best Puppy Dog 2 Ryder's Kannechor Vincit Omnia. Black/Brindle 8 months old slightly heavier type of dog to the winner, striking headpiece correctly proportioned with a distinct stop, ample underjaw and a clean muzzle, correct mouth dark round eyes and neat rose ears. He is compact well boned, as a true straight front with well padded feet, possesses a short strong body, ribbed up nicely for age. Level top line both standing also on the move. Good rear angulations muscled just enough for a minor puppy, well handled also kept is shape on the move. 3 Fairhurst's Fairlenium's Snow Patrol PD (11) 1 Pearce's Quatros Gentle Lad. Just 9 months old giving a lot away in this class, Red & White lovely head shape, dark well placed round eyes giving a lovely expression, correct dentition, neatest of ears, nice tight lips with a good depth of underjaw. His forequarters are ample for a youngster, neat well shaped padded feet, straight front beginning to rib up o.k. for age. Level top line when standing also on the move when he settles down, strong enough in hindquarters for age, lovely coat condition no coarseness at all. 2 Ridley's Jagstaff Simply Red. Red & White another dog just come into puppy, heavier dog all round to winner standard size, lovely head, dark well placed round eye, correct dentition neat rose ears, short strong foreface, straight front strong pasterns and tidy feet, short coupled with a level top line, well angulated hind quarters, correct bend of stifle, well set tail carried correctly moved and handled very well. 3 Brown's Kiamirose Solo Junior Jd (15,1) 1 Jones' Inner Steel Of Foyleoak. Red & White lovely head shape with dark round eyes set correctly giving a nice expression, ears well set and carried correctly. A correct scissor bite, well defined stop with a good depth of under jaw. Front straight with well boned fore legs, well up on pasterns, neat tight feet. Developing nicely in brisket well tucked up. Cracking top line, sound rear quarters with a nice bend of stifle providing a good driving action, handled very well and presented in fine condition. 2 Martens & Stanway's Waystaff Strikes Havoc. Red & White different type to winner, nice clean head with a good expression, well defined stop strong fore face, dark round well placed eyes, correct bite with neat well placed rose ears, excellent well padded feet has a level top line with ample rib, correct amount of bone and substance, adequate hindquarters a good turn of stifle giving a powerful driving movement, moved and handled very well. 3 Hirst & Bibby's Taraiel Dizzee Rascal YD (13,2) 1 Davidson's Waystaff Dutch Minister. Brindle & White, a strong headed dog with a lovely expression, dark round eyes set correctly neatest of ears and correct dentition, sound in muzzle with ample underjaw with a distinct stop, strong front with well angulated shoulders with a good depth of brisket well boned forelegs, strong pasterns and well shaped tight feet. Strongly formed correctly shaped tapering neck, level top line standing and also on the move, sound hind quarters well developed first and second thighs, neat whipped tail carried correctly nice moving dog in good condition. 2 Gibbs & Smith's Wanneville's Lucky Dragon. Black/Brindle white chest excellent specimen lovely head well set neat ears creating a superb expression, dark round eye, clean bite. A sound well boned front good depth of brisket well placed shoulder leading to a level top line, well shaped quarters well angulated hocks drives well from hindquarters very soundly constructed. Correct tail set and carriage moved and presented very well. 3 Hyde's Sedgbred Black Diamond JW ND (6) 1 Fairhurst Fairlenium's Snow Patrol. Black & White presented in fine condition, strong in head with powerful well proportioned muzzle. Neat ears round eyes and correct dentition. Neat and tidy front with well boned forelegs with width in chest and a good depth of brisket. Strong neck well sprung ribs level top line standing also on the move, strong quarters angled well at stifles, moved freely and presented in first class condition. 2 Albero Sanz's Staffgold Bruce Ling Lee (ATC AMOO428ESP). Another excellent specimen of the breed black/brindle white chest, similar type to winner, neat ears, good bite well placed dark round eyes strong under jaw and tight lips. Correct front, feet and pasterns o.k. kept level top line on the move, reasonably short coupled ample rib and substance strong hindquarters good turn of stifle finished off with a neat thin whipped tail, moved and handled very well. 3 Brown's Kiamirose Timeout. GD (9) 1 Wells' Kalhols He's The One. Black Brindle cracking head, strong well developed head dark round eyes, neatest of ears and correct dentition, sound in muzzle with a distinct stop, strong front with well angulated shoulders with a good depth of brisket well boned forelegs, strong pasterns and well shaped tight feet. Strongly formed correctly shaped tapering neck, level top line standing and also on the move, sound hind quarters well developed first and second thighs, neat whipped tail carried correctly nice moving dog in good condition. 2 Hemstock's Jolihem Jeremy. Black/Brindle/White lovely head shape and alert expression, neat rose ears, dark round eyes, clean lipped with a good mouth. Straight front, ample bone neat well padded feet, well bodied with a level top line and a correct angulations behind when moving. Good well carried whipped tail, carried correctly. Shown and handled very well. 3 Hirst & Bibby's Taraiel Dizzee Rascal PGD (20,1) 1 Williams' Hubbulls Nebraska. A very impressive red dog is very well balanced, lovely head shape with a dark round eyes correctly set providing a great expression. Neat well-set ears, correct dentition, tight lips with a good depth of under jaw. Lovely straight front very strong pasterns and nice tight feet. Good depth of brisket just the right amount of body length, ample spring of rib with a good top line. Hindquarters are strong and very well angulated, correct tail set and carried correctly, Coat in excellent condition moved and handled very well. 2 Dean's The Dark Daredevil. Black / Brindle/White slightly heavier type all round than winner, nice shaped head deep through. Neat well-placed ears correct dentition, well positioned dark round eyes, definite stop, good under jaw very tight lipped, straight front strong pasterns and tidy feet. Nice depth of brisket and spring of rib moved well, nice drive from the rear with good tuck up at waist. Reasonably short coupled, level top line, moved with legs parallel for and aft, strong rear end with well-shaped stifle, moved and handled very well. 3 Albero Garcia & Estr's Staffgold Shark Swimming (ATC AMOO428ESP) LD (16) 1 Dowse's Rotherstaff Black Tie. Colour as his name states, a lovely head with and excellent expression, dark eye neatest of rose ears, correct dentition clean tight lips with a good depth of underjaw, beautiful clean straight well boned front, deep brisket ample rib level top line, well muscled hindquarters, good bend of stifle well let down at the hock, looked good from any angle, a purposeful mover, considered for R.C.C. when awarded major prizes. 2 Kertesz's Speed Hunter R Kipling. Black-Brindle & White standard size, well proportioned head with a keen expression large strong teeth correct bite, distinct stop, neat rose ears straight wide front with nice weight of bone. Plenty of depth to brisket, lovely spring of rib level top line, good bend in stifle, well muscled rear quarters moved well holding a level top line. 3 Meara & Millgate's Ramblestaff Solo Eclipse At Millamear OD(16) 1 Marachowska & Marachowski's Kalhols Black Magic At Passernomen. A very eye catching dog who greatly appealed to me as he entered the ring, he certainly didn't disappoint me with closer scrutiny. A Black/Brindle of fantastic quality with a well balanced head with a muzzle of correct length and strength, tight lips and ample underjaw. Excellent bite with large white teeth, correct ear carriage also a well placed dark round eye. Nice width to a well balanced straight front well boned forelegs, strong pasterns and neat well padded feet clean shoulders, nice spring of rib with a good tuck up at waist. Short coupled with a level top line standing also on the move, nice tail set carried very well. Good hind angulations well let down hocks, moved with decisive drive from the hindquarters, legs were parallel when viewed from the front and rear. Never failed to put a foot wrong, presented and handled as he deserves. It was a pleasure to award this dog top honours, he is worthy of holding his own with the very best. Turned out in excellent coat condition, fittest dog of the day, moved and handled very well. Dog C.C. 2 Wall's Goldwyn Our Kid. Red/White a well balanced dog with a super head shape dark eye neat rose ears and good dentition, good breath in muzzle and deep underjaw. Straight wide front, well boned going down to strong pasterns, and neat tight well padded feet, ample depth of brisket nice length of neck leading into correct shoulders.
