STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE DOGS NATIONAL TERRIER
Firstly, I must thank the committee for their hospitality, my stewards for their excellent work and mainly to you,
the exhibitors for entering under me. I was again disappointed with the feet on a lot of the exhibits,
there were a few neat feet around but on the whole attention needs to be given to this point.
Toplines are still not that special but this coupled with feet, I think is due to the way a lot of dogs are kept nowadays. Mouths on the whole were good. I was also somewhat dismayed that I had to use hand wipes on several occasions.
MINOR PUPPY DOG
1st - Stuart’s RANOLIEN RUN FOR HOME – superb black brindle, just enough of him for his age and providing he carries on growing as he is should become a top winning dog. Excellent dark round eye, mouth good,
neat feet, (please don’t let them deteriate!), good pigmentation and moved very well with a level topline. BDP.
2nd - Hyde’s SEDGBRED BLACK DIAMOND – Black brindle, not such a pleasing expression as 1st,
however this should come when he matures. Good pigmentation, needs to enjoy himself,
which should also come with age, moved well.
3rd – Birney’s SEBSONIC JEALOUS GUY.
PUPPY DOG - not such an easy class, lot of big dogs.
1st – Jones’ BLAZINSTAFF LIGHT MY FIRE – Red with white markings, superb black mask indicating good pigmentation, good stop, mouth good, ears neat, body maturing at correct pace enabling him to move well.
2nd William’s HUBBALLS NEBRASKA – Red, neat ears, well proportioned head, dark eye, moved well.
3rd Stevens & Williams’ CHARMONICS READY TO RUMBLE.
JUNIOR DOG
1st Folwell & Morris’ ROWELLSTAFF MR FERGUSON – Red, picked him out from start although I would like to see a little more use of the ears, lovely pigmentation, round eye, good mouth, moved very well.
2nd Gavin & Bollard’s SCOUSIOUS PRETZEL LIGIC – Black brindle, younger than 1 which showed,
however he is well constructed enabling him to move well, good shaped head, should mature well.
3rd Cooch & Maud’s FUNK ODYSSEY
YEARLING DOG
1st Meara & Millgate’s RAMBLESTAFF SOLO ECLIPSE – Very neat close coupled black brindle,
liked him very much (close contender for RCC), good pigmentation, dark round eye, pigmentation good,
moved and handled very well.
2nd Millar’s CRASHKON PUFF DADDY OF SKYLAND – Black brindle similar to 1 but not so close coupled,
dark round eye, moved well.
3rd Tennick & Ridley’s JAGSTAFF THE FISHER KING
NOVICE DOG
1st Galvin & Bollard’s SCOUSIOUS PRETZEL LIGIC – see 2nd in Junior
2nd Stevens & Williams’ CHARMONICS READY TO RUMBLE – Black brindle was 3rd in puppy dog,
hopefully will mature on, nice shaped head, dark eye, moved well.
3rd Ferrer & Boggins’ ZAKSTAFF TOBY TOBIAS
GRADUATE DOG
1st Pickston’s MARMADUKE MYLORD – Black brindle, excellent compact dog, clean mouth, dark eye,
neat ears, all contributing to a good expression, pigmentation very good, moved well.
2nd Partletts’s WARDWELSTAFF BADGERS BEST – Black brindle, slightly larger than 1st, eye shape good,
ears good, moved well.
3rd Arnott & Bruce’s BLAZINSTAFF LAZER BLAZE
POST GRADUATE DOG
1st Pearce & Ward’s ABSOLUTE STAR – Black brindle, lovely dog to go over, right muscle tone,
good head shape, feet good, moved well.
2nd Funnell’s VEKLORRA BARNEY REBEL OF POWERPACK – Black brindle one I have known from puppy,
matured well, close coupled, good head shape, moved well.
3rd Rastall & Durham’s MERIMNA AHEAD INLINE.
LIMIT DOG
1ST Dewar’s EUPHEMIA DRUMMER BOY JW – Really liked this black brindle when I first saw him come in the ring and was not disappointed when going over him. Close coupled and moved with level topline,
one of the best movers of the day. Lovely head with dark round eyes and good strong teeth,
pigmentation superb. RCC
2nd Byrne’s TRUFFLESTAFF BURU AT ELCOSTAFF – Black brindle, very similar to 1st maybe slightly longer in the body but good in all departments nevertheless.
3rd Ewart’s GRANGESTAFF RAZZMATAZZ AT ROWANSBLAC
OPEN DOG
1st Stanway’s CH WAYSTAFF STRIKES BACK JW – Pied, very smart, didn’t think I would like him but he got better and better each time I looked at him! Lovely pigmentation, dark round eye, good ears kept well back,
moved well with level topline, liked him. CC
2nd Lawrenson’s CH CROSSGUNS TOM JONES – Brindle that I have always liked from a baby puppy, totally different type to 1st . Excellent head, lovely round dark eye, his owner has him in tip top condition for my liking,
unlucky to come up against 1. Moved and handled very well.
3rd McGrath’s JAJCA PHOENIX FROM THE FLAME.
