STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE DOGS MANCHESTER 23

My thanks to the Committee & all those concerned with the show for inviting me to judge Stafford dogs; hospitality was excellent & the show very well organised. I would also like to extend my thanks to the exhibitors, especially as the weather conditions were certainly not pleasant for travelling.

MPD (6,1a)

1 Jones’ Kamaristaffs Royal Rumour. A good black puppy just coming up to 7 months old, has a decent shape head for age, neat ears, dark round eyes, good scissor bite & length of neck, straight front with tidy feet, level topline with good angulation in back end.

2 Maude’s Stormnoir’s Fullforce. A nice overall almost 7 months old puppy, so similar to above that many of the same virtues apply, however, I just preferred the topline on the first.

3 Jane’s Niatona Beetle Crusher.

PD (10)

1 Durell’s Hamason Greatest Showman. Almost 11 months old Red & White with white stripe down head going into muzzle. white collar into white chest, two white front socks & white back feet. Well boned, pleasing head shape enhanced with nice rose ears, dark round eyes, good underjaw with correct scissor bite, true front & good feet, nicely ribbed for age, level topline & strong backend. Moved and handled well. My best puppy dog.

2 Thomas’s Biggleswick Mr Tom. An 11-month old Red dog with a bit of white on chest. Good head shape, rose ears, round dark eyes, correct bite, straight front, well padded feet, level topline and nicely angulated rear end.

3 Roberts’ Vadeliza Omni Trio.

JD (10,1a)

1 Higham’s Comberdown Kryptonite. A lovely 15 months old black dog with a white stripe on chest. Presented in great fit condition, has a good head shape, dark round eyes, neat ears, deep stop, good scissor bite, decent length of neck flowing into well placed shoulders, straight front, tight feet with short nails, nicely ribbed with level topline and strong backend. Wish all dogs were shown in this condition.

2 Kaur-Hayre’s Big Man On Mac Dui Shawrigg. A 15 months Red dog with white on chest, front feet & back toes. Lovely head shape, dark eyes, rose ears, nice stop, correct bite, true in front, good length of neck, well ribbed with a level topline which he kept on the move.

3 Kirk’s Kirkstaff The First Avenger.

YD (8,1)

1 Blow’s Scoutor Rogue One JW. What a striking standard brindle dog with a fine white stripe between eyes, white on muzzle & chest, 3 white feet, one just on toes. Great head shape, deep stop, square muzzle with strong underjaw, good scissor bite, dark round eyes, neat ears, nice length of neck, straight front with nice feet, well off for rib, level topline held standing & moving, well-muscled backend which gave great movement. My RCC.

2. Stanway’s Waystaff Strikes Mayhem. Another very nice dog, white with red patch on head, shoulder & backend. Good head- piece, dark eyes & eye rims, deep stop & plenty of underjaw, well boned straight front with good feet, rib well developed, level topline & strong backend. Moved well.

3 Stevens & Raynsford Raynstaff Old Fashioned.

PGD (9,1)

1 Cobb’s Tillcarr Fire Collective. A powerful black dog with a tiny white stripe on chest, nice head shape with dark round eyes, rose ears, deep stop, good bite, straight front & plenty of rib, topline is level & backend well muscled. Moved well.

2 Fairhurst’s Fairlenium’s American Pie. A striking black & white pied dog with a good head shape, deep stop, round dark eyes, correct bite, nicely ribbed, true in front & well defined backend with good angulation.

3 Davies’ Jomello Stand By Me At Cwnharrd.

LD (12,1)

1 Page’s Assilio Lisbon Lion. A lovely standard fit dog, red with white on chest, good head shape, muzzle a little longer than I prefer but the quality of this dog overtook that, dark eyes, well positioned rose ears, good length of neck, true in front with nice feet, short in back with level topline, good hindquarters & angulation, excellent mover.

2 Harper & Whittaker’s Bethaleese’s Poldark. Another good headed, fit standard dog with dark round eyes, neat ears, deep stop. Straight front, good feet, well off for rib, nice muscle definition, pleasing back end angulation. Just preferred winner’s movement.

3 Couzens & Coombes’ Niatona Arlo Coombes.

OD (16,2a)

1 Regeer’s Int.ch Goldstaff’s Make An Entrance. A stunning white dog with black ticking & black head with a white stripe going down it which tends to mislead the shape but once you put your hands on it, you can see how good it is. Lovely dark round eyes, rose ears, deep stop, scissor bite, good underjaw, correct length of neck, true front with good feet & short nails. Well laid back shoulders, nicely ribbed, short in back & level topline standing & moving. Obvious well- muscled backend & well bent stifles. Great movement. My CC winner.

2 Arntzen & Manito’s Uk Ch Catstaff’s Used To. An outstanding black dog, with many the same qualities as winner, only real difference being the movement today – but on another day they could change places.

3 McConnellogue’s Ch Lonemoor Polara.

VD (3,1)

1 Lewis’s Ch Biggleswick Splash Of Ginge. Red dog with dark mask, white chest & front toes, just coming up to 8 years old. Lovely head shape with dark round eyes, rose ears, straight front, well boned, good feet, well ribbed, level topline & moved well.

2 Mayren’s Ch Bellarouge Adonis At Fergiestaffs JW. A smart looking red & white dog almost the same age as one above, well put together, good head with nice expression. A worthy Champion, simply thought the winner moved a bit better today.

SBD (3)

1 Page’s Elitebull Mischief At Bellastaff. A 9 months old black dog with a nice head, dark eyes, deep stop, correct bite, rose ears, straight front, enough rib for age, well bent stifles & moved well for a youngster.

2 Courtney’s T’blazing Stars Of The Warriors Red Skins (Imp). Red puppy with dark mask & white chest, just coming up to 10 months. Dark eyes, good scissor bite & pigmentation. Straight front, level topline & moved well.

3 Forrest’s Chezatree The Road Warrior.
