STAFFORDSHIRE BULL BOURNEMOUTH 18 Judge: Mr J Ford BEST OF BREED : 3850 SCANLAN Messrs J & C Bultery Magic Potion At Pantycelyn STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 18 I would like to thank the Committee of the Society for inviting me to judge this lovely show. My stewards, Jenny and Geraldine, for making my day run with so much ease and efficiency. On the dog front, I found overall bitches of more quality than dogs, which only speaks for the future of the breed. I unfortunately had a slight mishap in my very first class of Minor Puppy, where one dog bit my hand. I don't expect this from our breed and especially a Minor, so unfortunately I had to ask its owner to leave the ring. 1 Thomas' Sunnystone Limited Edition. Br/wt, just under 9 mths, nice typy puppy, shown well by her lady handler, nice type head coming along nicely, good bite and correct ear carriage, nice front and level top, looking good at this stage, well shown and handled. 1 Rhodes & Pritchard's Taraiel Reaper At Teracota. Good bl/br, lovely head shape and make, nice type with bone and substance, in what I was looking for, good straight front, ample rib, nice level topline on the move, turn of stifle and firm quarters, moved out well fore and aft. BPIB. Nice to watch him pulled out in last 6 in Group. Well done. 2 Rose's Engladian Gran Torino. Good type br/wt, good head and make, nice straight front, level back, nice quarters, moved out well, beaten by first in fine order. 3 Gough's Manark Made To Measure. 1 O'Connor's Samtan Crime Fighter By Chezatree. What a lovely red/wt he was. Looked at him for top honours. Lovely head shape and make, nice straight front, perfect topline on the move, up on toes, nice straight pasterns and firm back end, a dog to be proud of and sure this dog will hold his own in any company. I would love to see him in 12 mths. 2 Desmond's Elitebulls Challenger. Lovely bl/br, excelled in all departments. What can I improve on that everyone else has said. I'm sure his title is not far away, just preferred movement of winner on the day. Lovely dog. 3 Johnson's Tillcarr Fire Coanda. 1 Lahodova's Jun Ch Joy Mab Cyntaf Fransimo Bohemia. Another grand red/wt, showing fitness, alert and raring to go, good head, skull ratio, strong through, good bite, nice level back, good bone and substance, nice tuck in to waist which won him the class, moved and handled well. 2 Cooper's Sheracruz Doin The Best I Can. Another strong red/wt with all the credentials of first, just losing out to a fitter dog and tuck-in, but a lovely type who could change placings any time, moved out fore and aft with good balance. 1 Hirst & Bibby's Taraiel Soulja Boy. Bl/br with many good virtues. Head, ears and bite all in good order, body properties and quarters showing fitness, stood up on toes, moved round the ring very well, well handled. 2 Thomas' Sunnystone Limited Edition. 3 Funnell & Hitchens' Powerpack Kilgobnet. 1 Gravaglia's Firecross Amusing Sunrise. Nice typy br/wt/pied, good standard type with decent head and make, lovely straight front, level back and turn of stifle, ample rib and body properties. A tidy dog who moved well and deserved his placing. 1 Hopkins' Trufflestaff Papinashuash JW. Nice class of dogs. Bl/br/wt who I have liked for some time, excelled in head and body properties, scissor bite, neat ears, good dark eyes and ample rib, in lovely coat condition and nice strong hindquarters which showed on his movement, moved well for his lady handler. 2 Heron's Manark Hast N Furious. Br/wt, a favourite of mine who deserved his placing today, looked alert and ready for action, nice type, good bite, straight front, nice and fit and strong back end, well handled. 3 Darby's Manark Guns N Roses. 1 Lahodova's Ch Edge Knife Fransimo Bohemia.
