STAFFORDSHIRE BULL BOSTON 18 Judge(s): WAYNE JACKSON What a great entry of 69 making 77 and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made an entry and came along - exhibitors and spectators made it a very enjoyable day for me. Thank you to the Committee of Boston DCS for the invitation and organisation of a brilliant show. I was pleased with the majority of my exhibits with only a few showing mouth faults. Conditioning and fitness was an area I thought could be improved where some exhibits carried too much covering or were very soft to the touch and no muscle tone. Overall, breed type was there and in my opinion my major winners were very worthy of the award I gave. I was extremely proud that my BOB made the final cut of 10 in a quality Terrier Group judged by Alan Small and then my BP was awarded Puppy Group 2 in a huge puppy group judged by Christina Chapman, so all in all I had a top day. Well done to everyone at every level. 1 Johnson's Tillcarr Fire Coanda. A very young black brindle (6 months) with a lot of breed type. I liked his expression and overall outlines. Pleasing head size shape and proportion. Distinct stop. Neat ears. Good teeth. Well boned straight front. Looks a well balanced youngster. Good bend of stifle. Good topline. Carried his tail well and moved well for such a young dog. Presented in lovely condition and handled well. Best Puppy Dog. 2 Fairhurst's Fairlenium's Iron Man. White dog with red patch over right eye. Nice head and skull width. Ears ok. Pleasing expression. Good bite. Clean straight front. Feet ok. Good pigmentation. Good physique for age. Well muscled at rear with good shape and bend of stifle. Moved around the ring ok when settled. Handled well.
2 Callonge's Diamonds Of Blanch Knockout. Black brindle dog who I also liked a lot. He has a lovely expression, neat ears and round dark eye set well. Nice depth to his skull with distinct stop. Nice balanced overall and pleasing outline. Well boned straight front. Feet ok. Level topline. Close coupled. Good coat. Handled well. 1 Ship & Hammond's Hammystaff Hanky Panky With Idyllicstaff JW. Top size red dog with plenty of substance. Liked the width and depth to his skull. Correct bite. Well muscled throughout. Correct depth of brisket and spring of rib. Well off for bone, straight front, strong feet. Level solid topline. Good bend of stifle and his rear quarter showed firm and strong muscletone which showed in his movement. His handler showed him very well and his condition overall is a credit. Lovely short close coat. 2 Turner & Neale's Tegumen Shadow Of A Saint. Black brindle dog who showed himself off well. Nice shape to his head and balanced proportions. Pleasing expression. Clean lipped. Correct bite. Top of the height scale but very balanced. Straight front with ample bone. Good topline and underline. Good bend of stifle. Muscled at rear with good shape. Moved well and handled well. 1 Keetch & Wilson's Am Ch Samross American Dream. A black brindle eyecatching dog who has a lovely head with balanced proportions, clean, deep through, broad enough and distinct stop, no exaggerations. Loved his expression. Good dentition and bite. Straight front with enough bone throughout to compliment his overall size. Good feet. Correct depth to his brisket. Solid level topline. Lovely rear quarters with ample muscle to his inner and outer thigh. Good bend of stifle. Correct tail set and carried well on the move. Good parallel movement. A very nice dog to look at with balance and breed type. His overall fitness and condition was the best and a credit to his handler/owner. Excellent coat. Showed and handled very well. Didn't hesitate to give him Best Dog and then followed later by Best Of Breed. He was shortlisted into the final 10 in a quality Terrier Group. 1 Johnson's Tillcarr Baptism Of Fire. What a lovely black brindle bitch of a very young age, just 6 months. Pleasing head profile and skull with good shape and proportion, not overdone but defined. Lovely distinct stop. Round dark eye well placed and neat ears. Nice underjaw and clean lipped. Good bite. Clean straight front, neat feet. Enough bone for her size. Nice body. Very standard bitch with such a pretty expression and has everything going for her in her balanced package. Really liked her. Lots of breed type. Could have picked her up and taken her home - she was my kinda young bitch. She moved like a dream and was handled very well which got the best out of her. Really pleased to award her Best puppy bitch and then Best puppy in show against her litter brother, I later learned. She also did me very proud by taking Group 2 in a quality Puppy Terrier Group. Congratulations. 2 Anchor's Lonemoor Inion Realta. Another young bitch who I really liked. Lovely expression from a really nice well balanced and shaped head, well set eye and ears. Clean without exaggeration. Neat straight front into lovely tight feet. Correct bite. Topline ok. Good underline. She is developing well in her rear quarters for her age. Another pretty bitch with lots going on to give a very nice overall look. Her handler showed her very well and she moved out well for a youngster. 1 Rogers' Berrystock Miss Spitfire. B/brindle bitch who really ticked a lot of boxes for me. Loved her overall breed type. She has a balanced strong defined head of good width and depth and a feminine expression with lovely round well set eye and neat ears which she used really well. Correct bite. Straight front, neat feet. Good depth of brisket and enough spring of rib for her young age. Level topline and lovely clean underline showing a pleasing profile. She has a good bend of stifle and strong rear. She is the kind of bitch who insists that you look at her and when I did I was definitely impressed. Handled and shown very well. Her movement was very good with drive. Lovely coat and overall condition. She pushed hard for Best Bitch and lost out by a smidge. I was really happy to award her Reserve Best Bitch. A really bright future I have no doubt. 2 McDermott & Bernhardsson's Kings & Queen's Over The Moon. Black brindle who I liked a lot. Very nice head with good shape and balance. Distinct stop. Well set dark eye and good ear set which she used well. Correct bite. Looked clean from the shoulder down through a straight front, good feet. Her brisket was correct in depth and a lovely spring of rib. Good topline. Lovely overall shape. Preferred the shortness in back of first. Shapely rear. She moved well and was shown and handled to her best. 1 Stanway's Stormfire Crack The Code At Waystaff JW (Imp Esp). Red and white pied. Liked the overall look of this bitch. She has a lovely head shape, no exaggeration, just balanced. Pleasing expression from lovely eye and ear set. Clean straight front. Good feet. Her spring of rib and brisket complimented her body which is very balanced. Good tuck up into tight well covered loin. Lovely bend to her stifle. Muscular rear with good shape and firm to touch.
