STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE BORDER UNION 18
Thank you to all the exhibitors who gave me the honour of assessing their dogs, I was thrilled with my entry. A have a couple of concerns within our breed which I believe need to be addressed, I noticed a lot of oval/almond shaped eyes which gives our breed an odd expression. Also I am a firm believer that you should not have to look at a dogs gentalia to tell its sex, dogs should look masculine and bitches feminine both in body and head.
I am not going to mention mouths as all the dogs I have critiques had no issues in that department. Our bitches do seem to have the very best of wicked expressions at the moment which is a delight.
So very very pleased to be able to watch my Best Puppy go on to win Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

This was probably the most difficult class of the day to judge, so many dogs which fitted the standard
so well and ones I adored, picking my winners I had to nit-pick between them. Therefore I don’t
propose to critique about how they fit the standard which they clearly do but why I picked them
in the order I did.
Both pied dogs took my eye when they entered the ring I was not disappointed when I went over them
This dog had a little more about him in the ring and my decision in the end came down to
movement and today this dog moved better than the second. On another day I am sure their
positions will change. Very pleased to award him RCC.
