Staffordshire Bull Terriers

The quality of the exhibits was generally good. Attention is needed on close rear movement, a few light eyes were also present. The general presentation of the exhibits was very good.

1 English’s Engstaff Hey Jo, good head shape, correct muzzle, nice neat rose ears, true front, level topline;

2 English’s Engstaff Made In England, litter brother to 1, similar features. Lovely outline, moved very well. Slightly heavier on lip to 1.

1 Haywood’s Lukes Like Trouble, well developed r/f, nice head, dark round eye, good expression, nice bend of stifle, moved & handled well;

2 Boulton & Hayton’s Albermarbull Blue Diesel at Dusklight, blue, not the best pigmentation. Very light eye moved not too bad.

1 Isles’ Luthais Know No Fear, fit & powerful, in gleaming condition, super balanced dog, showed like a trooper, strong front, balanced, powerful rear, moved very well. RCC;

2 Plant’s Lackyle Aonread Aineas, b/br of good type, nice straight front, deep brisket, lovely head shape, correct bite, well balanced, moved & showed well;

3 Ridley’s Jagsstaff Simply Red.

1 McGee’s Scotstaff Highland Sky, f/w, nicely constructed, nice eye shape, good bone construction, moved & handled well;

2 Hirst & Bibby’s Taraiel Dizzee Rascal, b/br, showed & handled very well. A bit of extra width on the back end would have given him better outline & balance. Handled well.

1 Leyland & Simpson’s Briganah Black Knight, b/br, in good condition, great head shape, well balanced, good pigmentation, moved with purpose;

2 Marachowska & Marachowski’s Emperorstaff Hayabusa at Passernomen, f/w, in super fit show condition, looked very good all angles, very nice expression, moved & handled very well;

3 Miller’s Crashkon Puff Daddy of Skyland.

1 Marlow’s Briganah New Moon, top dog in a class of top dogs. I liked him very much, very masculine, powerful head, expressive eyes, well placed ears, moved & showed very well. CC & BOB;

2 Chesters’ Ryestaff Jack The Lad, quality dog, in top fit show condition, shown to perfection, very close decision;

3 Jackson & Hemstock’s Jolihem Himself.

1 Tennick & Ridley’s Jagsstaff The Fisherking, f/w, very good head, good expression, round eye, clean lip, good shoulders, straight front, very well balanced, moved & showed well;

2 Pearce & Ward’s Absolute Star, b/br, beautifully presented, great coat, good front, well laid shoulders, moved soundly;

3 Scarlett’s Ramblestaff Ebenezer Good.

1 McGowan & Owen’s Tagstane Fucshia Struck, dark brindle, beautiful expression, good head, nice round eye, defined stop, neat ears, showed a lot of class for one so young. BP;

2 Moody’s Moodystaff Lady Luck, very nice young b/br, everything as it should be at this age. Preferred natural ability of 1;

3 Moody’s Moodystaff Skye’s The Limit.

1 Arnott’s Blazinstaff Volcanic Vogue for Staffknot, pleasing head & expression, nice round dark eye, well muscled for a young dog, level topline, nice bend of stifle, nice mover, showed well;

2 Moffat & McBurnie’s Kannechor Bewitched at Kargonstaffs, very nice balanced short coupled bitch, stood & showed well, alert at all times, nice on the move;

3 Wilson & Rodgers’ Ozzies Red Rascal.

1 Blackwood’s Roughnecks See The Stars of Inshaig, very nice brindle when standing, well put together, level topline, good bend of stifle, nice head, good expression. Movement let her down;

2 Isles’ Luthais Dancing Seoras, fit & in show condition, good stop, good depth of brisket, very nice coat condition, moved freely;

3 Hirst & Bibby’s Taraiel Ciara.

1 Jardine & Moffett’s Leger She’s The One, b/br, in super fit show condition, one of the few that moved with drive. A very nice well balanced bitch, handled to perfection;

2 Simpson’s Briganah Breaking Dawn, quality b/br, very sound, nice head & ears, in good coat condition, sound mover;

3 Parker’s Nettleworth Nitty Gritty.

Disqualified from class for missing Junior class.

1 McCallum’s Ballindona Charmer’s Lass at Ashstaff, natural showing bitch, in gleaming condition, super fit show condition. RCC;

2 McPhail & McPhail’s Tagstane Dora The Xplora at Scorguie, very flashy tiger brindle, in sound condition, level topline, good muscle tone, moved & handled very well;

3 Ridley’s Jacknife Salvation at Jagsstaff.

LB (8)

1 Higgins’ Spinnjack Mistletoe Magic, very fit, in top condition, great substance & balance, nice head, neat rose ears, showed very well;

2 Cooper & Ternent’s Staffash Sweet Sensation, r/f, darkest of round dark eyes giving nice expression, well balanced, moved & showed well;

3 Frankland’s Aldwych Tiger Lily.

OB (7)

1 Jackson & Whitehouse’s Ch Bourtie Wot A Steal, flashy b/br, white blaze, caught my eye on entering the ring & for me didn’t put a foot wrong. Showed to perfection, best mover of the day. CC;

2 Cairns’ Dinalghi Touch Of Class, well balanced dark brindle, very good head shape, strong correct teeth, stood & showed well, moved very well, well handled;

3 Day & Ridley’s Bourtie Out Of The Limelight at Bullred.
