Staffordshire Bull Terriers

Glorious sunshine, excellent facilities & top class stewarding, all combined to make this a most memorable & enjoyable occasion to have the privilege of judging the breed. The overall quality of both dogs & bitches was impressively good. There was little overall evidence of significant faults in the exhibits to give cause for concern.

1 Halifax’s Jackstaff Spanish Gold, most impressive quality young r/w prospect. Well balanced from all viewpoints. A great expression where the neat rose ears & dark eyes contribute so well to emphasise a powerful head & muzzle for his age. Well laid back shoulders & correctly angulated hind quarters did their part in ensuring sound movement. Well balanced from all viewpoints;

2 Peters’ Kimstaff Vertini, a quality b/br with a powerful head shape for age & great expression. Correctly angulated muzzle, correct depth of stop & dark, round & well spaced eyes. A body to match the head for quality with a short back & well angulated quarters;

3 Jackson’s Roughnecks Justice For All.

1 Hopkins & Gabel’s Golden Boy Trufflestaff of Spiit-Staff, I liked this quality young dog & forecast a very promising future. Soundly constructed in all departments & balanced throughout. Attractively proportioned male head, shape ample bone for age & well angulated quarters, moved well both front & rear.

1 Davies’ Ginstean Man Of God, quality b/br/w, powerful in both head & body with no exaggerations. Dark eyes, neat rose ears & a keen expression. Level in topline, correct ample bone in quarters with well bent stifles & sound driving movement;

2 Gabel’s Earl Boogie of Spirit-Staff’s, impressive fawn with well proportioned skull & muzzle. Neat ears, dark eyes & keen expression. Sound in front, well laid back shoulders & correct depth of brisket. Sound movement from both front & rear. Well balanced throughout;

3 Clarke & Traver’s Brigannah Black Chieftain.

1 Edwards’ Byrnestaff Tiger Man, most eyecatching brindle dog with a great well proportioned head ideally in balance with a soundly constructed body & well angulated quarters. A fine example of a standard sized dog & a sound representative of the breed;

2 Southworth’s Albermarbull Gambler for Staffmaster, a most appealing & attractive fawn dog that ran the first very close. Nicely conforming throughout with a well proportioned head & muzzle balancing well with a soundly constructed frame. Moved well on the day with a sound drive from well angulated hindquarters;

3 G Man Of God.

1 Ryan’s Rubericla Black Starscream, a sound standard sized b/br dog with an excellent expression from a well proportioned head & muzzle. Impressively formed front & brisket. Short in back & with well boned & correctly angulated quarters. Moved & presented well;

2 Pinder’s Albermarbull Red’s Legacy at Stelladeoro, attractive r/w with well constructed head & muzzle. Well laid back shoulders & soundly angulated hind quarters helped ensure correct driving movement. Well presented;

3 Price’s Little Beau Geste.

LD (18,1)

1 Hale & Kemp’s Caymenstaffs Carlos Way, this was one of the overall best Limit classes I have ever had the privilege of judging. On the day this b/br dog stood out & fully merited the award of CC & BOB. Soundly constructed & balanced from all viewpoints, he presented himself as a true example of an outstanding representative of the breed. Powerful & strongly built in quarters with a quality head & muzzle ideally supported by a strong & powerfully muscled neck of the correct length blending smoothly into well aid back shoulders & level topline. Strongly built in front, with correct ample bone in forelegs & with sound angulation of hindquaters. This was to be his day & he deserved it;

2 Fulford’s Elitebulls Heartbreaker for Regalbull, a beautifully well balanced b/br with an outstanding head & correctly proportioned muzzle. Ears, eyes & expression of top quality. Well constructed in quarters, sound in movement & admirably well presented;

3 Hall’s Geordiestaff Canny Laddie.

1 Gabel’s Ch Alchemist of Spirit-Staffs, a great example of a beautifully balanced b/br dog of outstanding conformation & true class. A credit to the breed. Great head & expression, neat ears, dark eyes strong bite & powerful well proportioned neck. Excelling in front & shoulders, short in back with a level topline well maintained throughout his strong driving movement. Thoroughly deserved his award as RCC;

2 Choma & Matviakova’s Satip Sorboss at Vrabarbull, b/br of top quality & overall balance. Outstanding shape of head & with a particularly impressive build & conformation. Moved well both front & rear & made a most pleasing picture in a very strong class on the day;

3 Hedges & Bogovcic’s Ch Suurisuun Boppinghams Birullai.

1 Carter’s Jackstaff Keepsake at Seastaff, a truly outstanding beautiful young r/w young prospect. A head to see here with all the qualities one could wish for & with an alert & outstanding expression to well accomplish her overall qualities. Just right in development for a minor puppy but a real show peace & well presented on the day. BP;

2 Plant’s Bethaleese Black Betina, a great quality young b/wh puppy with so much going for her. Lovely head shape, with all in the right stages of with what should promise to be a sound & classy development. Moved & presented exceptionally well;

3 McClement’s Jodanzac Brindle Pride.

1 Rogers’ Berrystock Charlies Angel, well balanced throughout this young b/br/w is a real one to catch the eye in any competition. Head, muzzle & bite of top quality & a well formed body of correct substance for her age. She moved well from well angulated hindquarters & was well presented on the day;

2 Molineux’s Jefmor Winter Solstice for Druidhawk, beautifully balanced & attractive young b/br of quality & class. Lovely head & muzzle shape & great feminine expression. Moved & handled very well on the day & a pleasure to have had the opportunity to judge;

3 Jackson’s Jefmor Straight As A Die.

1 Nicholson & Finney’s Ballindona Caol Ila, a deserved winner in a highly competitive & quality class, this b/br has a beautiful head & muzzle with the neat rose ears & dark eyes to display a truly strong feminine expression that demands attention. Very difficult to find anything to dislike about the construction of this bitch & she is very balanced from all viewpoints, was moved & handled well on the day;

2 Stanway’s Mosstrooper Making Mischief at Waystaff, a most attractive r/w/pied of pleasing conformation & deportment. Great head shape with keen feminine expression. Well developed in body & sound in quarters. Moved & handled well. A showy bitch & she well deserved her award;

3 Hopgood & Kerry’s Starolestaff Mystic Mimi of Antroboss.

1 Wilson’s Bullhawk Jessie Jay at Northstaff, very attractive b/br, soundly balanced & well constructed with a very good head & expression contributed well with her lovely dark eyes. Well shaped muzzle with neat rose ears & with neck blending admirably into a level top line & short back. Short in coupling & with well angulated shoulders;

2 Ryan’s Rubericla Little Bumblebee, a well balanced & attractive b/br with a great feminine expression. Beautiful shape of head & muzzle well complimented with her neat ears & dark eyes. Lovely front development & short back. Moved & handled well. As with first in class a very promising future in store;

3 Qualtrough’s Elitebull Romance.

1 Desmond’s Elitebull Elegance, one to really look out for. A beautiful b/br of highest quality. Well balanced & correctly conforming throughout, she has a most attractive strong yet essentially feminine head, muzzle & strong bite. Her whole forehand construction very sound & her movement well enhanced by correct shoulder development & well angulated hindquarters. Presented in tip top condition & handled very well;

2 Rhodes’ Crumkill Gidimon Girl at Teracota, most attractive quality b/br/w with a beautiful head together with nicely shaped & well formed muzzle. Lovely ears & eyes & most difficult to find fault with her overall construction. A top class well balanced bitch that looks the part of a true representative of the breed. Moved with strong drive from her well angulated & powerful hindquarters;

3 Skelly’s Skelstaff Miss Moneypenny.

L (13,2)

1 Harvey’s Kyraloebis Sweetest Taboo, a most pleasing bitch to go over. Strong & powerful, of correct substance & in all ways essentially feminine. A beautiful head & strong muzzle well complimented by lovely dark eyes & neat rose ears. Moved very well with a strong driving action from her well angulated hindquarters. She excels in a level topline well maintained on the move;

2 Byrnes’s Lackyle Bean Olc, beautiful b/br excelling in head & muzzle. Lovely sound bite with neatest of rose ears. Good level topline & well angulated hindquarters. She is a well balanced bitch with very sound movement. Essentially her overall balance makes her one who will always stand out;

3 Turner & Birchall’s Quatros Alexis Icandy.

1 Hirst & Bibby’s Ch Taraiel Ciara, so much has already been said in the compliments this fine example deserves for her outstanding qualities. My privilege to have been given the opportunity to judge her. Balanced from wherever one looks at her, this outstanding b/br is one of the very top quality bitches of our time. Beautiful head & expression, soundly conforming with the requirements of the breed standard, she moved with the grace & elegance of a true champion & thoroughly deserved her reward of the BCC;

2 Wison’s Eclypstaff There You Go at Kalverin, so impressed with the overall deportment & quality of this b/br bitch. Lovely powerful feminine head & muzzle fully complimented by her strong well proportioned frame, all contributed to make it a pleasure to be able to judge her on the day. Moved & handled well, her grace & outstanding conformation qualities gave her well deserved award of RCC;

3 Funnel’s Ch Kewaunee Pocahontas for Powerpcack.
