STAFFORDSHIRE BULL BITCHES JUDGE LEEDS 14

Staffordshire Bull Terriers

BITCHES – What a way to do a show, to be asked to fill in & do the bitches on the hottest day of the year. The heat was intense, having to move under cover. I was very impressed with the overall quality of the bitches.

MP (6,1a)

1 Turner & Birchall’s Dinostaff Red Tiger Lily, a lovely red with white, well balanced for her age, has a nice expression with neat ears, has nice front & moved & shown well;

2 Smith’s Willowstaff Eternal Flame, nice red just over 6 months, not as mature as 1. Good clean head shape. Nice front with good feet, maintaining level topline on the move. Shown & handled well;

3 Elrick’s Ruadonis Delilah’s Delight.

P (5)

1 Carter’s Jackstaff Keepsake at Seastaff, a nice balanced red, no exaggerations, good clean head, neat front with ample spring of rib going into well bent stifle, creating a nice picture on the move. Shown well;

2 Hopwood & Holt’s Boldstock Here I Am, dark brindle, another nice puppy. Lovely head shape, neat ears & nice bite. Clean in lips with dark eyes. Well placed shoulders with good bend of stifle. Moved well;

3 Molineux’s Jefmor Winter Solstice for Druidhawk.

J (8,3)

1 Johnston & Brown’s Revelry Custom Made, liking this class. A quality dark brindle with a good expression, like her head shape with neat ear carriage with dark eyes. Ample spring of rib, tucking-up with good bend of stifle. Moved & showed well;

2 Day & Simpson’s Briganah Black Caviar, dark brindle, as above well balanced, nice clean head shape with a good bite & dark eyes & neat ears;

3 Wall & Webb’s Manark Sopie’s Legacy.

Y (8,1)

1 Raynsford & Stevens’ Raynstaf Didja Ever, a lovely well balanced dark brindle with white. Great expression, nice neat ears, has dark eyes, good bite. Really well balanced overall with well bent stifle. Moved well;

2 Wilson’s Bullhawk Jessie Jay at Northstaff, similar to my 1, maybe a little stronger head. Very close decision. Shown & handled well;

3 Jones’ Rougestaff Flaming Ice.

PG (10,1)

1 Boulton & Hayton’s Albermarbull Moulin Rouge at Dusklight, a nice class. A very smart red standing foursquare. Very good head shape with the neatest of ears, clean lips & nice teeth with a good spring of rib. A well bent stifle, pushing hard for top awards;

2 Ryan’s Rubericla Little Bumblebee, classy dark brindle. Well balanced creating a lovely overall picture. Nice head shape, neat ears, dark eyes with good front with neat feet, maintaining level topline on the move;

3 Stanway’s Mosstrooper Making Mischief at Waystaff.

L (20,2)

This was a quality class even when thinning down, some nice bitches missing the cut.

1 Butler’s Seenworstaff Storm Warning at Joemikeste, quality red bitch looking well from every angle. Lovely head shape, nice ears, clean in foreface with good bite. Well placed shoulder, ample rib & a good bend of stifle. Moved well. RCC;

2 Chaine’s Crudha Breizh Izel, this was a quality dark brindle as my 1, well balanced from every angle creating an impressive picture. Good head with neat rose ears. A good spring of rib, has a nice bend of stifle. Shown & handed well;

3 McClelland’s Tagstane Shining Star at Rochlawie.

O (14)

1 Birbeck’s Ch Bellarouge Blithe Spirit, love the overall balance of this red. She has the expression & clean head shape with lovely ears. Nice teeth, good front & feet, through to ample rib to lovely bend of stifle & moved like a dream. CC;

2 McPhail’s Scorguie Stolen Kisses, a very nice quality dark brindle as above, very nice head shape with lovely expression. Dark eyes & small neat ears with a good bite, nice front flowing into well sprung ribs to strong quarter & well bent stifle. Shown & handled well;

3 Hirst & Bibby’s Ch Taraiel Ciara.

V (2)

1 Hirst & Bibby’s Ch Taraiel Trinity, I have admired for a while, a worthy, quality ch. Well balanced lady, very clean overall looking good from all angles. No exaggerations. Moved & handled well;

2 Cartwright’s Borgstaff Hatchepsut, very fit & well balanced for age & a credit to the owner. A lovely head & spring of rib with well bent stifles. Moved well.
