STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER

MPD (4, 1)

1 Morgan & Jones' Mountarn The Prodigal Son. 6 month black brindle, white chest. Very much a baby, just as he should be. Has a well shaped head of right proportions with a dark eye and good bite. Correct front and feet. Moved ok for a baby.

2 Kent's Staffwize On Tour. Another promising standard Black Brindle. Head developing nicely. Front ok, short coupled with level topline. Rear quarters developing well, moved ok.

3 Davies' Kobellie Dark Prince.

PD(5)

1 Pendletons' Bullhawk In A Pickle. BPD & BPIB. It bodes well for the breed when you are able to put your hands over a quality puppy dog like this one. A lovely black brindle with white on chest who possesses a well shaped head with good bite. Lovely clean front, feet need to tighten a little but he has time. Body coming along nicely with everything correct but just needing to develop with maturity. Good luck with him in the future, I'm sure he will do well.

2 Lewis' Charmonics Regal Lad. Black Brindle with white chest and socks. Very compact puppy with deep stop and deep through skull. Preferred the movement of first.

3 Butler's Torostaff Our Billy.

JD(7, 2)

1 Stanways Waystaff Strikes Out. This kennel has produced some excellent stock over the years and this is another one. Top quality brindle pied with a lovely well shaped head of correct proportions with well placed dark eye and strong underjaw. Clean, straight front and good feet. Correctly angulated hindquarters giving good movement. Res Dog CC. Well done. I'm sure he will go on to greater prizes in the future.

2 English's Engstaff Hey Joe. Lovely rich brindle with white on chest in excellent condition. Has everything there and all attributes of winner, just preferred one on the day.

3 Tittley & Bosanko's Garwstaff Totem Carrad.

YD(7)

1 Haywood's Lukes Like Trouble. Red dog with no exaggerations in excellent condition. Well defined head with good dark eye. Good reach of neck leading to correct front. Well shaped hindquarters with correct pump handle tail - which sadly seems to be a rarity in the show ring. Moved well, won this class with ease.

2 Pearce's Quatros Gentle Lad. Red & White dog who, like any other, has his faults but when taken into consideration he deserved his second place in this class. Good head with dark well placed eye. Compact and short coupled, good coat condition.

3 Tittley & Bosanko's Garwstaff Brindle Wizzard.

ND(2)

1 Robbins' Antroboss In The Red With Jakastaff. Red with a little white on chest. Pleasing, standard dog all round with no exaggerations. Head of good strength and proportions, front ok but feet tend to turn out just a little too much. Well shaped body with correctly angulated hind quarters. Moved ok.

2 Pearce's Quatros Gentle Lad.

GD(1)

1 Wilsons' & Rodgers' Chuckys Black Lad. Black brindle with white chest who stood alone in this class. He possesses a head of nice shape and proportion with good dark eye. Would have preferred a straighter front but topline and rear quarters good.

PGD(8)

1 Boler's Denegar Jack. Lovely standard red dog who caught my eye. Fit and well balanced overall and he was considered in the final line up. Possesses a good head with dark eye but I would prefer slightly more width to underjaw. Body shape and hind quarters very good, moved ok.

2 Wilson's Bullhawk Code Master At Kalverin. Black brindle. Slightly taller but still possessing overall balance with no exaggerations. Lost out on fitness to first.

3 Cartwright's Zakstaff Game On JW.

LD(13)

1 Powell's Cwmcalon Son Of The Land JW. Black brindle with nice head shape. Correct muzzle to skull ratio with good strength to underjaw. Would prefer a slightly darker eye but as previously stated all have faults and this is cosmetic. Good feet and pasterns, excellent coat condition, short coupled. Would have preferred a little more muscle definition but overall presented a nice picture. Best mover in the class.

2 Burgess Chezatree Nat King Cole For Karliatul. White dog in excellent condition. Head strong, well defined, good dark eye, correct mouth and strong underjaw. Front ok, right elbow could be tighter but otherwise body good with brisket of correct depth and strong rear quarters.

3 Price's Beau Geste.

OD(6, 1)

1 Powell's Ch Foxstaff Positive Magic At Cwmcalon. Black brindle with white chest who is well deserving of his title and the best dog on the day. Beautifully structured head with correct length of muzzle and strong underjaw housing large correct teeth. Front and feet good. Body in overall superb condition with correct bend of stifle which produced effortless movement. It was my pleasure to award him the Dog CC Well done!

2 Ch Kalhol Dark Maruda. Another Black brindle Ch in excellent condition. Slightly heavier all over than first and I preferred the head shape of winner but I can clearly see why he holds his title. Well done.

3 Rhodes' Willowstaff Black Marauder.

MPB(6, 3)

1 Martins' Alvins Northern Lights. Nice feminine head on the Red & white bitch. Strength to underjaw, nice straight front, good body overall, carrying a little puppy fat but good hind quarters. Moved well for one so young.

2 Scott's Jamborob Ecunda Malkia. Red with white on chest. Lost out to one on ear carriage and placement but hopefully when head develops this may be corrected. Nice dark eye and good muzzle with strong underjaw. Nice front with correct pasterns. Body short coupled with good hind quarters.

3 Scotland's Callastaff Madam George.

PB(7)

1 Rhodes' Willowstaff Arcadian Rose. Liked this puppy a lot and she only just lost out to dog on challenge for Best Puppy In Breed. Not a big bitch but height to weight ratio looks about right and she's coming along nicely for her age. Feminine head shape with nice length of muzzle and correct bite. Decent front with good feet and dark nails. Nicely put together with correct back end. Showed well once settled. Best Puppy Bitch.

2 Marachowska & Marachowski's Jodanzak Tamazin At Passernomen. Brindle with white on chest. Another bitch in excellent condition with right amount of bone. Body shape good with correct hindquarters. Head shape different to first and I would prefer a shade more length to muzzle. Nevertheless a nice bitch who you have to put your hands on to really appreciate.

3 Rogers' Ginstean Absolute Epitome Of Ynysstaff.

JB(10, 2)

1 Ford's Temkade Jeffs Dream At Jefmor. Black brindle who I liked a lot. Nice head with a well structured muzzle housing good teeth. Nice straight front leading to good feet. Well shaped body, good hindquarters with nice bend of stifle. Would have preferred to see her in harder condition.

2 Metcalf's Darkridge Be Delicious. Another nice bitch of slightly lighter build than one but possessing all her attributes.

3 Wall & Webb's Hammystaff Hot To Trot.

YB(6, 1)

1 Wilson & Rogers' Ozzies Red Rascal. As the name suggests red bitch. Nice head shape with good length of muzzle and good underjaw. Would prefer a cleaner front. Short coupled body with good strength to rear quarters. Moved well.

2 Sem & Ullaflaen's Celunas Do Wah Diddy. Clean scissor bite with good underjaw but preferred the head shape and expression on first placed bitch. Straight front, good topline and back end. Overall nice bitch. Dolphins' Alport Black Ink At Delphinstaff.

NB(4, 2)

1 Wall & Webbs' Hammystaff Hot To Trot. Red & white bitch placed third in Junior. Nice head shape with dark eye, good bite and underjaw. Short coupled body with nice hindquarters.

2 Rodgers' Ginstean Absolute Epitome Of Ynysstaff. Black brindle who is still very much a baby, fourth in Puppy Class. Lots to like but lost out on maturity.

PGB(6)

1 Minneys' Longdrive Ebony Girl. Black brindle with white on chest. This bitch was in really fit condition which was the deciding factor on the day between 1st and 2nd place in this class. Nice head of good strength and correct proportions with good muzzle and underjaw. Straight front, well bodied and nice hindquarters. Movement good.

2 Smith's Rowellstaff Red Ember At Willowstaff JW. Similar make and shape to first but did not show herself at her best today. Well proportioned head with good bite and underjaw. True front and good strong rear quarters. Moved well.

3 Dodsworth's Mays Precious Gem.

LB(18, 2)

Best class of the day. Thinned original 18 to 10 any of which could have been placed differently on another day.

1 Titley & Bosanko's Garwstaff Miss Independent. Top size black brindle bitch who possesses a lovely feminine head with correct muzzle housing good sized teeth. Front straight and true, good pasterns. Rib coming along nicely although I feel she needs to develop more in this department as she matures. Good rear with correct bend of stifle. Movement was free and effortless. Well deserved winner of Bitch CC.

2 Raynsford & Stevens' Raynestaff Do You Know Who I Am Another classy bitch who was unlucky to meet the CC & RCC bitches on the day. Lovely head shape with keen expression. Body in superb condition, hard rear quarters with correct angulation. Moved with purpose, I'm sure her day will come.

3 Smiths'Willowstaff Keep The Faith.

OB(9, 2)

Another lovely class of bitches!

1 Thomas' Ruby Rose Duchess At Biggleswick. Another cracking red bitch who I feel is destined for the top. Lovely head with prominent cheek muscles, good bite and underjaw of strength. Nice straight front and good body with nice spring of rib, short coupled and well muscled hind quarters. Moved with drive. Res. Bitch CC. Well done.

2 Turner's Tidestaff Firecracker JW. Very standard, well balanced mahogany brindle. Her head which is very deceiving until close up, is of the correct shape, with good strength and nice length of muzzle. Forequarters straight and correct depth of brisket. Body in good condition with nice rear quarters. Moved ok.

3 Smith's Willowstaff Barbed Tongue.
