Staffordshire Bull Terriers

I would like to thank the committee of Bath for the invitation to come & judge. The show was well run & the showground absolutely superb, with the benching in the tents close to the undercover rings which in turn extended to the outside rings & the grass in all rings & especially the BIS ring would do credit to any bowling green!

I would like to thank the exhibitors for the entry & the sporting way they accepted my decisions. I unfortunately had to disqualify one dog, he had both lower canine teeth penetrating the roof of the mouth & for me this fault is so severe that I had to disqualify the dog.

Finally I would like to thank Maureen & Terry Donovan, my two ring stewards who worked tirelessly throughout the day.

1 Illori Azizi, 8½ months b/br of good size & type, good head with well placed ears, correct bite. Good neck & shoulders, nice body & topline, correct tailset with well made hindquarters, moved well. BP;

2 Staffstyle Through Glass, 8 months, of good make & shape but was a little bigger & more on the leg. Needs time to mature. Moved steadily;

3 Illori Akinlana.

2 I Akinlana, litter brother to 1. A dog who was very well made but for me he was up to size & because he still needs to mature he looked like a gangly youngster. A dog who needs time to mature to show off his many good qualities. Good mover.

1 Taraiel Busta Rhymes, b/br who caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring. Excellent head shape & expression, dark round eye with good depth of stop & width of muzzle, strong underjaw, clean scissor bite, stood four square with straight front & good depth of chest. He was short coupled with a level topline running to well defined hindquarters & good tailset. Shown in excellent condition & moved well. Quality dog;

2 Cazomic Crime Fighter, red, another quality dog who should not be any bigger. Good size head & width, distinct stop, good width of muzzle & strength of underjaw giving him the correct expression. Correct scissor bite, neat ears & round eye. Straight front, good neck & shoulders, well muscled hindquarters & shown in good condition. Moved well;

1 Ginstean Black Bomber, a b/br who caught my eye when he entered the ring. Well balanced, short & compact of good size. Well made head with good stop & cheek muscles leading to short strong muzzle, well placed ears with correct round dark eye & clean scissor bite. Good neck & shoulders with good front, legs & feet, good body & topline. Well made hindquarters & he moved with ease around the ring. In good condition. I can see from the catalogue that today he was only beaten by his sire. Pleased to award him RCC;

2 Golden Boy Truffelstaff Of Sprit Staff, another dog of good type, well made head with good ears & correct bite. Correct neck with nice shoulders & front, good body & topline, good angulation in hindquarters. Moved steadily & he was in good condition;

3 Kentstars Apollo.

This was a very good class with many quality exhibits.

1 Biggleswick Funky Devil, w/r, nothing exaggerated with this dog. A well made, solid white head, good width of skull, good depth of stop & length of muzzle, strength of underjaw & good cheek muscles, neat ears, clean scissor bite. Beautiful front & layback of shoulder with level topline which he kept on the move, well muscled hindquarters, moved freely, shown in excellent condition. Quality dog;

2 Staffstyle You Got The Love, masculine w/r who was a shade bigger but he had many good qualities. Good head with well placed ears & eyes, good neck & shoulders, correct front with good legs & feet. Well made body with good topline & tailset. He moved steadily;

Another class with many quality exhibits entered.

1 Ch Eclypstaff Cuz I Can, b/br of excellent quality. I think the Standard must have been written after this dog’s head. Excellent expression, good neck & shoulder placement, excellent front with good quality round bone & correct legs & feet, good body & spring of rib, nice topline & correct tailset. Well made hindquarters & he moved true & was in excellent condition. He put in a good performance in the terrier group. CC & BOB;

2 Elitesbulls Heartbreak for Regalbull, another b/br of excellent quality. Good type & size, he has good head proportions, good skull with neat ears & lovely eyes giving a good expression, good bite & clean foreface, good muzzle & jaw. Good front, straight well boned legs on good feet, correct neck into good shoulders, short coupled with well sprung ribs & a good topline, good hindquarters, well muscled thighs, good turn of stifle & low in hocks, in good hard condition, coat in good order, moved with ease. A well put together dog who has very clean lines, not exaggerated in any way;

1 Jsy Ch Granitangel Zircon, 7½ years old of good type & size who is in good condition for age. Good head & ears, dark round well placed eye, good neck & shoulders, good front, body & topline. Nice tailset & he had good hindquarters, moved steadily.

1 Kahuna Trufflestaff of Spirit-Staffs, 6 months bitch with excellent temperament, good size for age. Good head with well placed ears, correct bite. Nice neck & shoulders, good front, compact body with good topline, well made hindquarters & moved well for one so young. Carried the tail too high in movement;

2 Tonpay Anything Could Happen, 7 months bitch of nice type with good head & well placed ears, good bite. Nice neck & shoulders with good front, good body & topline but I would prefer her a little shorter coupled. Good tailset & moved steadily. Unfortunately not making the most of herself today;

3 Pantycelyn Star Choice.

1 Eclypstaff Sky Full Of Stars, 11 months b/br, feminine head & a lovey expression, correct set of ear, good dark round eye, good depth of stop & width of muzzle, correct scissor bite & good underjaw. Good neck & shoulders, good front & level topline, well made hindquarters, good tail carriage & moved steadily but unfortunately not putting all in today;

2 Samtan Black Pearl at Taurinstaff, of good size & type but she is not making the most of herself today. Must have more confidence in the ring. Good head with well placed ears & a dark eye, correct bite. Nice neck & shoulder with good front & compact in body, well angulated behind & with a good tailset, moved steadily;

3 Falkirkstaff at Starhaze.

1 Dynastaff Pure Science, 13 months bitch who caught my eye when she entered the ring. Good type & size, very well made head with well placed ears & dark round eye, correct bite. Good neck & shoulders, correct front with good legs & feet, good body & topline, correct tailset & well made hindquarters, good coat. A young bitch that is full of quality;

2 Nacadermus Myrna Queen at Inkastaff, another bitch of good type who was not always cooperating with her handler. Good type & size, short & compact in body, good head, eye & ears, correct bite. Nice neck & shoulders, good front, legs feet, correct topline with good tailset, well made hindquarters, moved well;

3 Pridesdale Special Edition.

1 Cadarnbull The Sixth Sense, brindle of good type & size, well made head with good ears & dark eye, good muzzle & correct bite. Good forehand, quality round bone & good feet, good body & topline, correct tailset & moved well;

2 Taraiel Lorde, feminine bitch of the correct size, well made feminine head, good front, legs & feet, good neck & shoulders, well made body with good tailset, moved steadily but would prefer a little better topline on the move;

3 Boldstock Am I Bovvered.

1 Lackyle Oiche Eiri for Powerpack, nice make & shape. This bitch was placed VHD in JB. Steady mover;

2 Dazmarnic Belle Of The Ball, nice make & shape. This bitch was placed VHD in NB. Would prefer a tighter lip & for her to be stronger in pastern. Moved steadily;

3 Elitebull Elegance.

This was another class of excellent quality exhibits.

1 Berrystock Charlies Angel, b/br, caught my eye on entering the ring, true quality. Excellent size & type, very well made head with correct ear placement, dark round eye & Good muzzle & jaw. Excellent neck & shoulders, good front, legs & feet, good body & topilne. She is short coupled & has well made hindquarters. Moved well. One who I gave much thought when I decided BB;

2 Special Order for Jevaces, another quality brindle who had good proportions in head with well placed ears, dark round eye & correct bite. Correct neck with good shoulder & front. Good body & topline, good tailset & moved well;

3 Lackyle Realta Beag of Wyrefare.

Yet another class with many excellent quality exhibits.

1 Pantycelyn Just A Dream of Calavey, high quality brindle of excellent type & size. Well chiselled feminine head with well placed ears, dark round eye with good muzzle & jaw. Correct neck with excellent shoulder placement, front, legs & feet. Quality round bone. Excellent body & topline, correct tailset & strongly made hindquarters. In movement she was as sound as a bell & holding a level topline in movement. It was a very close decision between her & the dog for the breed. Very pleased to award her the CC;

2 Ch Taraiel Ciara, another top quality bitch with a lovely head, well placed ears & dark round eye, short strong muzzle with good underjaw. Lovely neck & shoulder with good front, legs feet. Good body & topline, correct tailset & well made hindquarters. She moved well & was in beautiful condition, especially when the handler told me that she has puppies at home which are 3 months old. A credit to her owners. She won a very well deserved RCC against some very high class bitches;

3 Dynastaff Black Velvet.

VB (4,1)

1 Ch Trufflestaff Monifa Kanika, top quality b/br veteran who makes a lovely picture. Lovely head & expression, neat ears & dark round eye, good depth of stop, width of muzzle with scissor bite & strong underjaw. Straight front & depth of chest, good layback of shoulder, level topline also on the move with strong powerful rear action. Shown in excellent condition. When deciding BB she was another who was in my thoughts;

2 Ch Kewaunee Pocahontas for Powerpack, another top quality veteran. I placed her 4th in OB & was very surprised when I heard her age, as not only is she a bitch of high quality but she was shown in excellent condition. She has so many virtues was unlucky to meet 1 today;

3 Rockstaff Kaos at Granitangel.
