Skye Terriers

A small entry but of good quality. I was pleased with my BOB Ch/Sw Ch Skeotts Amnesix High Skye Miracle at Wemoway, a beautiful drop ear & a worthy ch; BD, Ch Salena The Special One, well known ch who had to give way to an exceptional bitch; & BP, Gumshoe Moses Jones, this young silver has a great deal to admire about him & once he matures will trouble the best.

Presentation & temperament were very good & all were presented in a clean condition. The breeders & exhibitors are to be commended for their time & effort in the preparation of their charges.

PD (1)

1 BP, White’s Gumshoe Moses Jones, what a lovely silver, really super head, strong head with good bite & underjaw, ear placement good with lovely fringes for one so young, powerful neck into good forehand, well ribbed with short loin, good rear angulation & tailset. Little unsteady on the move but he’s a puppy & they are allowed to play a little.

JD (2)

1 RBD, Curtis’ Brakemill Barnum, 16 months young cream, well behaved & in a clean condition, good head with powerful jaws & correct scissor bite, good depth of rib but would a slightly shorter loin, moved OK;

2 G Moses Jones.

PGD (0).

OD (1)

1 BD, Ch Salena The Special One, well known silver who has been commented on many times previously.

JB (2

) 1 Hartfield’s Gumshoe Shot In The Dark at Moshanta, litter sister to Moses Jones, lovely feminine bitch puppy, really super head, feminine head & expression with good bite & underjaw, ear placement good but not quite the ear fringing of her litter brother, powerful yet elegant neck flowing into good forehand, well ribbed with short loin, good rear angulation & tailset;

2 Curtis’ Brakemill Briar Rose, litter sister to Barnum & she was the chatty one, similar remarks apply as with her brother, silver bitch feminine head & expression, good bite & strong teeth, clean neck flowing into good shoulders, level topline standing & on the move.

PGB (1)

1 RBB, Green’s Veronys Night Sky, lovely feminine silver of quality who once her handler isn’t so nervous will do even better, feminine head & expression, nice length of neck, shoulder placement OK, good length of rib, short loin, a little unsettled on the move although kept topline standing & on the move, pleasing prospect who once she settles should trouble the best.

OB (2)

1 BOB, Ch/Sw Ch Skeotts Amnesix High Skye Miracle at Wemoway, drop eared bitch of the utmost quality, so very sound with the three Ls, I had not examined this bitch before but had admired her from ringside & she did not disappoint on examination, everything about her oozes quality, beautiful feminine head with lovely expression, correct bite with strong teeth & punishing jaw, good ear placement, strong crested neck flowing into well laid back shoulders, forehand very good with correct length of scapula to upper arm which allows her to move so effortlessly, good spring of rib with plenty of heartroom, short loin, good pelvic & rear angulation & short hocks which complement the forehand, moves effortlessly around the ring because of her sound construction;

2 White’s Salenas Special Effect at Gumshoe, unfortunate to meet 1 however another good representative of the breed, good head with powerful jaws & correct scissor bite, lovely expression, good length of rib. A little unsettled on the moved & not concentrating on the job in hand.
