SKYE WELSH KC 24 Judge: Mr David Shields SKYE JUDGE WELSH KC 24 VD (1) 1 Kendrick’s Ch.Frisco Kiaora at Jeraro (IMP CZE). Presented in super coat and condition and has kept a lovely shape both stood and on the move. Excellent balance and of good proportions. Pleasing head, eye and expression. Firm body, well ribbed and good strength of hindquarters. Moved well on a free and easy stride. LD (3) 1 McLeod’s Esgia Glen Garioch. Liked his size and very typical appearance. Good strength of head and a bright expression. Pleasing depth of chest and stands on good legs and feet. Firm topline that he holds on the move along with a good tailset and carriage. Sound mover fore and aft. 2 De Leie’s Verumamicus Cicero with Castrumskye. Pleasing sort who is well made throughout with a good shape and outline. Typical in head, dark eye and well placed ears. Well bodied with a level topline and nicely angulated quarters. Moved well carrying himself well. 3 Lyne’s Madaza Box of Frogs. OD (5) Competetive class. 1 Bailey’s Rhoderns Haggis at Marjayn. Impressive dog who took your eye as soon as he entered the ring. Great strength but this is complemented by the required elegant and dignified characteristics the standard asks for. Best of heads, good length, powerful with a good eye and expression. Pleasing front assembly, good length of body and well rounded hindquarters. Presented in super coat and condition. Moved on a pleasing stride, CC. 2 Heath’s Ch.Lavaux’s Bahamian Chris. Pushed the winner close. Has the required long and low appearance and carry’s himself so well at all times. Good head shape, expressive eyes and well placed ears. Excellent depth of chest, well boned legs and the best of feet. Good length and depth of rib with a short firm loin. Strong quarters of good width. Correct double coat. Sound positive mover, Res.CC. 3 McLean & Weir’s Rhoderns Hammish. VB (2) 1 Heath’s Perrylands Hello Again. Was very taken by her shape, balance and her typical appearance. Lovely feminine head but has the required strength to complete the picture. Good reach of neck set in a well made front assembly. Long and low in body but is not exaggerated in anyway. Firm back and a good tailset and carriage. Well made hindquaters that she uses to advantage on the move. Moved soundly on an effortless stride, BV & Res.CC. 2 McLeod’s Noap Charoit Madien Mardzheri at Esgia (IMP RUS). Very shapely bitch who has kept a good outline for her age. Balanced throughout with a good head and expression. Pleasing depth of chest and stands on good legs and feet. Good width of quarters. Sound mover. PB (2) 1 McLean & Weir’s Rhoderns Ananke. A very promising youngster who if she continues to develop on these lines will have a bright future. Loved her shape and is so well put together for her age. Best of heads with such a typical outlook. Excellent front assembly, firm body, good depth, level topline and the best of quarters. Presented in tip top coat and condition. Covered the ground on a free and easy stride, BP. 2 Bailey’s Rhodern’s Ailsa Bay avec Marjayn. Another very likeable puppy. Litter sister to the winner but not as forward as her sibling at present. Good head piece with a lovely eye and expression. Pleasing body shape, well developed hindquarters and a good tailset and carriage. A little unsettled on the move at first but once she got into her stride moved well. JB (1) 1 Rhoderns Ananke. PGB (3) 1 Robert’s Kilfinan Seren Gail at Sunabil. Sturdy throughout but keeps a very feminine outlook. Balanced appearance of pleasing length and depth. Best of heads, powerful muzzle with good strength of jaw and a dark eye and bright expression. Firm body, well ribbed and well angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly fore and aft. 2 Cox’s Silverbriar Imogen of Pettipaws. Pleasing type who is well made throughout. Another of good strength but still keeps the required elegant outlook. Good head piece, dark eye and well placed ears. Clean over her front assembly, good depth of chest and firm quarters. Sound mover on a positive stride. 3 Holt’s Coriend Let’s Do Justice. LB (4,1) 1 McLeod’s Esgia Cry Freedom. Such a sound and honest bitch. Drop ear of lovely make and shape, long and low and of a good size. Feminine head of pleasing length and strength with a good eye and expression. Liked her front, well boned, deep chest and the best of legs and feet. Firm level topline, well rounded quarters and a pleasing tailset and carriage. Has that free and effortless movement covering the ground on the best of strides, CC & BOB. 2 Heath’s Skyshire Rosie. Typy bitch, liked her size and overall appearance. Beautifully balanced head with enough strength of skull along with a dark eye and bright expression. Well boned throughout, good length of rib and a short firm loin, keeping a level topline on the move Nicely angulated hindquarters, but not exaggerated in anyway. Presented in the best of coats. Moved on a pleasing stride. 3 Curtis’s Brakemill Midsummer Dream JW. OB (3,1) 1 Grainger’s Black Cuillins Catriona JW (IMP DEU). Has great strength and substance throughout but still keeps a feminine outlook. Liked her head, powerfull, good strength of skull but shows no sign of coarseness. Has a lovely eye and expression. Best of fronts, well ribbed, deep and of good length and the best of quarters that she uses to advantage on the move. Presented in good coat. 2 Robert’s Tarskavaig Speed Bonny Boat at Sunabil. Liked her size and overall appearance. Has the correct long and low appearance and was put down in good order on the day. Balanced head with a very typical outlook. Strong neck of good length, good depth and pleasing hindquarters of good width. Sound on the move. David Shields |
