SKY JUDGE WELSH KC 23

Dog CC, Heath’s Lavaux’s Bahamian Chris, Res Dog CC Sanderson’s Esgia Highland Laddie, Bitch CC & BOB Pringle’s Ch Esgia First and Fairest, Res. bitch CC Whincup & McCourt’s Coriend The Adjudicator By Partisky, Best Puppy Coriend The Adjudicator By Partisky. Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at this show. Thanks also to my stewards who kept the ring running smoothly. A lovely entry of quality Skyes it really did come down to nit picking for the placings. It was pleasing to see some good handling skills without exaggeration, a well made Skye does not require over handling. The ring was a little rough with interesting smells so understandably some did not give of their best when on the move. Thank you to all exhibitors for entering and giving me the chance to assess your wonderful dogs, not all got top honours on the day but you all took the best dog(s) home.

JD (1)

1 Herbert’s Riskerytree Ravenwing - a black dog, presenting a pleasing outline, nice shaped masculine head, good shoulders and a neat front, in good coat. Moved out well. Not the most confident of youngsters but I’m sure this will come.

PGD (2)

1 De Leie’s Verumamicus Cicero - well coated cream dog, nice head with well fringed black ears, black mask. Good front, nicely shaped ribs , correct rib to loin. Moved well. Sensed he was feeling a little nervous but he controlled himself well.

2 Mason’s Bhatairnis Fasach - a black dog with lots to like about him, a lovely head & expression, unfortunately he is carrying too much weight which affects his top line and movement.

LD (2)

1 Turner’s Knowlespring Quincy Shcex - a cream dog, well made throughout, with good length & reach of neck. Good rear drive, moved out well, tail carriage a little high and a little taller than my ideal.

2 McLeod’s Esgia Glen Garloch - dark silver boy, in good coat. Very pleasing head and expression, low to ground, nicely made and balanced throughout. Not overly enthusiastic on the move.

OD (3)

1 Heath’s Lavaux’s Bahamian Chris - a pale silver dog in good coat. A pleasing outline. Lovely head with well fringed ears, shaping his face nicely. Good neck, shoulders & front, into correctly shaped body. Moved out well fore and aft. Pleased to award him the dog CC.

2 Sanderson’s Esgia Highland Laddie - another nicely made silver dog in good coat. Handsome head, good neck, shoulders and front, nicely bodied. Went well, although he had a good sniff on the ground. Slightly taller than winner. Please to award him the Res. CC.

3 Pringle’s Ch. Esgia The Exciseman Shcex.

VB (2)

1 Heath’s Perrylands Hello Again - very pretty 7 year old cream bitch, nicely constructed throughout with a good harsh coat. Moved well.

2 McLeod’s Noap Charoit Madlen Mardzheri at Esgia - 9 year old silver bitch, another that is so soundly constructed, I know she can move like a dream but today she was only interested in the intriguing smells on the ground.

PB (2, 1)

1 Whincup & McCourt’s Coriend The Adjudicator By Partisky - alone in her class but that didn’t matter to this young lady, at 9 months old she owned the ring, it was a case of I’m here, look at me. Lovely balanced outline, gorgeous head with correctly placed ears. Nice length of neck, correct rib and loin, coat coming along nicely, good tail carriage, effortless movement. In the bitch challenge she held her own and I surprised myself with awarding her the Reserve CC. pleased to see that she went on to take puppy group 4.

JB (3, 2)

1 Herbert’s Riskerytree The Magpie - black bitch, nice outline, pleasing to go over and a good mover. Like her litter brother not the most confident youngster but hopefully this will come with time.

PGB (3)

1 Curtis’ Brakemill Midsummer Dream JW - very pretty silver bitch, good head shape with lovely fringed ears. Good front, nicely bodied. Moved freely.

2 Heath’s Skyeshire Rosie - cream youngster, equally well made as first, in good coat, not as enthusiastic on the move.

3 Robert’s Sunabil Tywysoges O’llbanus.

LB (1)

1 McLeod’s Esgia Lone Wolf - lovely silver bitch, pretty head, soundly constructed and low to ground. I know she can move well but today was another that was more interested in investigating the ground.

OB (4)

1 Pringle’s Ch Esgia First and Fairest - eye catching cream bitch with a lovely coat. Lovely head with well fringed black ears. Nice shaped neck, good shoulders and correct front, nicely bodied. Moved out well. Pleased to award her the bitch CC and BOB.

2 Whincup’s Gleantann Look At Me At Partisky (imp USA). - attractive dark bitch, a classic outline, soundly constructed. Moved well.

3 Ch. Veramicus Aurora of Brakemill JW.
