SKYE WELKS 18 Judge(s): MR ALBERT WIGHT There were no entries in VD, PD, JD or YD!!! It is a shame that this delightful and glamorous breed has fallen off in show entries as they remain such a spectacular show dog when at their best and a good one will always gladden the heart! 1 Kendrick's Frisco Kiaora at Jeraro (Imp Cze) dark silver of excellent make and shape. Such a good head, so balanced, ample skull, excellent strength in foreface, such dark eyes and well placed ears. He has a graceful neck, long ribcage and fairly short loin leading to amply angulated hindquarters. So well coated and presented and with maturity should finish really well. Sound enough but just needs that bit more drive behind. 1 Woodhead's Knowlespring Drummer Boy I felt this cream had to win this class due to his super outline and the quality of his head. It is all male, beautiful eyes, well set and carried ears and so well pigmented. Ample neck, firm backed and well defined rear muscles. A bit narrow in chest at the moment and I feel he needs to fill out his frame to make the best of him. In good coat he circled the ring in a balanced fashion. 2 Large's Juger Edelweiss Mickey Mouse Us Madaza (Imp) this drop eared was in super coat, has a pleasing head, lovely eyes and foreface. Good length of neck, good spring and depth of rib, over long in loin which detracts from his appeal and he lacked the ooomph on the move that the winner showed. 1 CC & BOB Curtis' Ch Brakemill Barnum ShCM came. saw and conquered as he just ticked all the boxes. A stunning example of the breed, nothing I would change, he is simply a class act, beautifully headed, great reach of neck, so well proportioned body, compact loin, so well muscled aft, all male in every respect, ultra sound and then the finishing touch of outstanding coat preparation and you have a winner!! A real pleasure to judge one as good as this. 2 & Res CC Breeze's Ch Salena The Magnificent One another very worthy titleholder and presented to coat perfection by one who is a real artist at this facet of out sport. Certainly so worthy of his crown but I just preferred the longer ribcage/shorter loin of Barnum but in his absence I would happily have signed a CC for this lovely dog. 3 Thomson's Glorfindel Shadow Boxer ShCM. 1 Gracie's BeareraigIsla Na H-airde cream in need of lots ot TLC and ring training and her handler needs so advice on coat presentation to make the most of her charge's attributes. Pleasing head, ample stop good muzzle strength, ample neck and ribbing and once settled is a fair mover. Needs lots of time and work. 2 Reich's Celticbridge Deep Waters this very dark baby is just the 6 months and as is so very, very raw and clearly needs lots and lots of time to fill out her frame and grow coat. Pleasing head and eye, enough neck, bit lacking in hind angulation and her hocks are quite weak at this stage of her development. 1 & BP Large's Parrima-Arih Universe of My Fantasy (Imp) this cream certainly made me smile as she is an excellent type and shape on the stack with a decent head and lovely eyes. However she is quite a handful on the move, cocky, brash and just loving life to the full. Her presentation was excellent and it will be interesting to see how she looks when she settles down! 3 Deep Waters. 1 Parker's Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine cream of just 17 months. She has a good head, it is balanced, ample stop and sufficient length and strength in foreface. Well placed ears, very good reach of neck, well laid shoulders and her backline is firm and level. Sufficient rear angulation and so well groomed. Took a little time to settle on the move but she was quite sound once she had settled. 1 & Res CC Woodhead's Knowlespring Candy Cane this is a cream of quality and should with any luck, go on to become a Ch. She has that air of quality, I liked her head with a good width in skull, lovely eyes, so dark and expressive then the foreface which has both length and depth throughout. She uses her ears well and they are well fringed. Good neck, so well ribbed and bodied and her well bent stifles show good muscle development. Add a coat which was excellent in presentation and you have one very pleasing exhibit. 1 & CC Curtis' Ch Brakemill Briar Rose this dark grey is litter sister to the BOB and I'm told they were bred in their owners first litter - and there was only the two of them!!! She too is such a worthy Champion, less outgoing on the move than her brother who takes off like there is not tomorrow and drives his way around the ring, whilst she is much more decorous and reserved as she moves gracefully around the ring without over exerting herself!! A joy to go over on the table, again that head balance and quality, the eyes which are almost disdainful at being looked at and then the shape, all flowing lines and curves where they matter. Immaculate in coat and surely still many big wins left in her. Thanks for the pleasure of judging them.
